I own Solo 3 (Gloss Black) as well as Studio 3 (White with Gold accents). I find Solo to be more comfortable than Studio as the latter is on ear Headphones and sometime leads to headache after prolonged use. Sadly I broke my Solo's hinge and cannot find replacement parts in my country. Be careful while closing the headphones as they seem to be quite fragile.
I'm I'm late, but I'm getting the same ones in the videe too, just waiting to get them delivered, btw it's been years, do you still have them and do they last?
Raymond Adrian Brown when you plug the phone cable it will automatic close but still be able to listen and if you remove the cable they will automatic open idk if you understand
Yh but theres no point. The battery is really good. Thats literally the best thing about these headphones. I can charge for maybe 3 or 4 minutes and it will last me hours
The case is absolutely terrible. Its tiny and extremely fragile. The beats themselves dont hold up well. They inevitably break after a couple years. I dont take my beats outside of my room let alone house and the glue has started to come off. These are only good if u have an apple device and dont mind paying alot of money. The best thing about these is probably the battery which is good. The sound is standard and i didnt expect much. I mean beats and apple dont care because their customers are stupid
If you are going to use them a lot, just buy them. The sound quality is good, battery life is amazing and they are so easy to use and carry with you. 180$ is worth it. But if you don't listen to music that often, it's not worth it. 180$ is still a lot of money.
best headphone I have to date, the only thing I had to replace was the ear pads since those wore out while using during workout. Those were like $20 to replace. Also gifted a white one to my wife last month
Whats the carabiner for? How do you turn on and off- how can you tell how much battery left or if its charging? No one tells you this- neither do the directions- but you tubers tell you how to open a box and show you beats logos- they all do it- not just you.
The carabiner is for the carrying case. To turn on and off there is a power button under the right side. To check how much battery there is once you hold the power button to turn on you will see multiple LED lights under the button. The number of lights correspond to how much battery you have. You can also check these battery lights by clicking the power button and it will make the lights appear. Holding the power button makes it completely turn off. You can also check the battery on iPhone by sliding over to a battery widget or just go into settings and click the connected headphones and it will tell you the battery. You know if it is charging if the power button light is flashing after being plugged in. I know your post is old, but wanted to help out in case you were still thinking about getting these headphones.
@@samreensagheer4396 why do you need to swear. I can already tell you lack brain cells. I gaurantee you will respond to my comment with atleast 3 swear words
@@CarLivesMatter haha i hate apple alooott. I stopped using apple devices but the macbook and apple watch are literally the only good things by apple. Macbooks take years to actually slow down. I have a macbook from 2010 from when i loved apple and its still extremely fast. Faster than my 2016 windows laptop.
I would advise anyone not to buy these cheap made head phones, ive had mine for 6 months and they are falling apart, the hinges have broken and the material around the ear cup has come apart on both sides.
@@ebucia6449 Hope not, I had them from curry pc world. I've compared them against others who have had the same problems. This must be why you can buy the spares for them on ebay. They are definitely not worth the money
Sorry to say, but the pair that you hold aren't authentic one! The authentic and genuine ones have just 'solo' written on their right side hinge! however, yours have 'solo3' imprinted.
@@gabrielcourtois6039,Yes, you are correct! Also there is a club collection of solo 3 beats that says Solo³ on the right side hinge, they came recently, but the old ones don't have any significant body changes compared to solo 2. Anyway, I regret having them :P But then happy that mine are authentic, However, I feel pity for ppl end up paying that unwarranted price tag for fake ones.
@@jakelogsnr8928 The one shown in video is not original! ********** For help, I can post here a few shrewd ways to identify whether the beats are originals or not. Just by observation: 1. Check the top beats logo its super light in color, whereas in fake ones its darker 2. Check the hinges.. the matte black, Product Red, glossy black and all that came prior to club collections just have solo written on the right hinge. By connecting and testing: 1. Because of W1 chip when you connect it with your iOS device (I exactly don't know which version and above supports this feature) it should pop a headphone logo with Beats solo 3 written on your iOS device display. (Fake can't do that) 2. Connect to PC using beats updater which you can download from beats by dr.dre website and when you connect it with a data transfer USB cable you will see that the software can detect that its a beats solo 3. It also works with other beats products. However, it won't detect the counterfeit one. 3. In case you buying a used one, which ppl are selling mostly because of the battery issues that are frequently seen... to be sure whether the second-hand beats have a correct battery or at least decent one... We know that full battery juice can provide up to 40 Hrs of play time... so with some basic math, you can see that it shall take exactly 25 mins to drop the battery level by 1% (Ideal case). Nothing in this world is that perfect so you can at least expect a good 20+ mins for dropping the battery level by 1%. Anything below 10 mins is an indicator that the unit has battery issues. Hope these tips help someone.
I've had them for a bit over 3 years. They're not as good as I thought they would be. For the price point I should've got the Sony mx3. Now there's the 4. Not great headphones. Carrying case is trash and no active noise cancelling. The build quality was trash, the seal for the ear cushion came off not long after having them. Felt cheap, considering the big price point
Older models weren’t cheap I noticed from day 1 of purchasing the new model it’s super cheap I’m returning. I loved my old pair but if apply keeps it up I’m done with purchasing beats. Very disappointed they don’t even look as nice prior to older models
I’ve had mine for 5 months and they are already completely broken, started glitching and are now just completely broken, sound won’t work, they won’t turn off. Nothing. And no I dint do anything to them, I’ve been EXTREMELY careful and this is all I get, 2/10 review because they were awesome before they just stopped working.
I actually forgot I had these! Got them about 2 years ago, but couldn’t figure out how to work them so I cast it out lol. Now I found them and couldn’t be happier saved me some money since I was going to get the pro but I’m happy with them now
