I'm really excited to use these....I just got them from Walmart as a black Friday sale for $75....I was very happy about the price and I can't wait to unwrap them on Christmas :)
I would recommend you to use them now so you can see if there is any defects. I bought mine on target last week for $50. I'm not letting $50 down the drain. So far mine are still going strong.
I own four pairs of these, after my Sheltie decided to gobble up two pairs. But now he lets my BeatsX hang on a drawer knob. I love these. Use them constantly. I have tiny ear canals so the smallest cushion (?) fits just right. Hard sometimes to find earphones that go as small as these. I'd recommend them.
Dededededed SAme, it’s pretty good, It’s very nice and I honestly love it. It last like 13 hours for me. (Mostly because I put it down and it lasts more)
The first 2 times I bought them, I had to replace them every two times until warranty ran out due to battery issues. This third pair has lasted me over a year and a half though! I hope apple makes a new more relatable beatsx at some point down the line.
Seems like from other reviews that there is a battery defect that Apple refuses to do a recall. Apples seems more interested in appearance of product reliability instead of customer satisfaction. No Apple store is replacing these under warranty store. My BeatsX battery just gave out and am ready to toss them in the trash.
Tim Litz my problem comes from not being able to hear out of the same ear on all the pairs and I looked inside and found that one side is made more sturdy than the other so after my warranty is up I’ll most likely be switching to AirPods
My beats are turning off automatically, I bought them over a year, only use them at the gym and I really really take good care of them, I love the semi noise cancellation the they provide, pitting me in my own world. Anyone figured out a solution?
my first pair about 7 months in the left ear died then shortly after the battery malfunctioned.. got them replaced under warrant. 7 months later... the left ear has died... waiting for my airpods to come in
They were nice for me, for about 7 months, then all of sudden one morning stopped working, even though i had no issue with them the previous day. Then i had them replaced with the warranty, then after a couple of months, the same thing happened with the brand new replacement. And i had to use the warranty once more just to have them replaced again (because they are not actually repairable at all). And guess what happened after 3 months... yeah, they stopped working again. After reading quite some articles on the net, I found that this is a quite common issue and lots of users experience the same thing, which is essentially a flaw in the design and eventually would happen to each user who owns pair of those headphones. I am not a heavy user, didn't had them exposed to water nor keeping them in strange way and locations, in a day i probably used them no more than 2 hours. After all that fiasco i had them replaced with AirPods and till now i am happy with my choice - better design, battery and they are more convenient to carry. I wouldn't recommend the Beats X to anyone!!
Mine just died after six months of use. First they would randomly just not turn on, then a few days later the left ear bud cut out. They've only been used at my desk and on a plane. Apple is sending me a shipping paid box to send them in for replacement however. The warranty process was very easy.
Brian Fitzpatrick well be ready, soon that replacement will also died. In less than one year I had 4 replacements and all died of the same thing. They just wont turn on. They end up giving me a new airpods, which I don’t love the sound but are very convinient.
I had the exact same problem! 3 pairs in one year, constantly faulting and not syncing - red light flashing. I lost all faith in the brand and went with Bose instead
I had the same issue as well , bought the beats x last year and they died suddenly after around 6 months of use by the flickering alternating red and white light. Got them replaced by an apple authorised service provider and they replaced it with another one (but not a brand new box, only the earphones). The battery life of the replacement is sub par compared to what its advertised around 5 hours
I've had these for about three months and I'm really happy with the sound and the borderline noise canceling. I completely agree about the wire. Its a tad bit too long and tends to get sticky when I'm working out which is annoying, but you do get used to it. My main problem with these earphones is that without the wings they fall out of my ears and with the wings they hurt my ears after some time. I just bought the Bose Soundsport wireless on black Friday since they were selling for 100, but I'm reading a bunch of reviews about how they break apart and how the charging is terrible. I've been wearing them for two days now and they are much more comfortable in my ear and the length of the wire is way better, and they've been more comfortable to workout with, but an issue I have is that they don't stay around my neck as nicely as the Beatsx do(which I keep around my neck all day like a necklace). Now I'm confused about which of the earphones to return. I just watched a review on how badly made the Bose earphones are and I was looking around to see cons about the Beatsx and I came across this video. It gave me a bit more reassurance to keep the Beatsx, given the built is so well. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the video review, Eddie. I chose these headphone because i had the option to choose a free promotional Beats headphones for an Apple purchase.
Nice video and very clear! I know I’m late to the party but never needed a jazzy pair. I just got these headphones as I work in a noisy place and need some noise cancellation. Been great so far! Next test is running and if they stay in place. Ha, I already lost the case, 1 day gone! I got the Mophie charging case!
I’m sorry I had these for a year and these are extremely comfortable plus the sound quality is amazing as well🤟🏽if you’re thinking about buying them or want another person’s perspective you can ask me as well
burfside Well, I heard that they stop working after using them for a bit? I’m thinking about buying AirPods instead, but they’re more expensive, and I’m not sure about their sound quality...
Amazingly comfortable and was my favourite headphones, I used them everyday. However, I’ve had 3 pairs in the space of a year. Red light flashing fault, where you can’t turn them off or on. They then would only flash white and wouldn’t sync. Lost faith in the brand, do your research before purchasing.
I've had mine for over 2 years now and they just now died on me. The right earbud stopped working and the seal between the wire and the mic/volume rocker started to come off. I will definitely get another pair since they are amazing and hopefully they'll release a new version with bluetooth 5.0 or something.
The #1 Con for me after 1 year.....my headphones are stuck in pairing mode. 1 day I took them off the charger, and the red/white lights will NOT stop blinking! Ugh
I have 2 of this. White and black . I think it’s 5mins charging for 2hours if battery. And you need to make a loop then and S to make them fit in the case . It’s easy.
@@nevie_jin801 I originally went in to price match with Wal-Mart for $75...when the rep was looking for the price match he found an online dealer that had them priced at $59.99. I was debating between these and the Bose Soundsport wireless for $149 when I went in, but I couldn't pass up this price
I’m on my 5th replacement pair in 9 months. When they work they’re awesome but it’s been an absolutely terrible experience having brand new pairs break on average every 2 months. There are definitely better and more reliable earphones out there for this (very high) price. My skullkandy methods cost a quarter of the price and haven’t given me a day of trouble in 3 years. Same sound quality.
i like beats x cause sound quality and the grip at the neck, only thing is about connection issue keep disconnect and battery life, if apple fix these 2, they're the best earbuds
Solid review , I had bought the black pair when they first came out , I wanted the AirPods, but there was a 6 week wait , so I bought the BeatsX .Enjoyed using them daily for a year and four months. Unfortunately, last month, I got the blinking red led of death(they wouldn't charge or reset) I liked these earphones ,so Im gonna get another pair, hopefully they will last cause at 150$ they should of lasted longer than a year+.Shopping for a pair this weekend on Best Buy:)
I got Beats X for Christmas and now it’s the middle of March and they stopped connecting like they used to, or would just be connected to my phone then disconnect randomly and it would blink white and red and sometimes even pink lights. I’ve resetting them many times but it doesn’t fix them. It’s only been just less than 3 months and they’ve been acting like crap, why and how do I fix this?
Love these headphones, hate how fragile they are. On my fourth pair now under warranty. Stop charging or one earbud loses sound. Over and over and over.
Hi Eddie can you tell me music title you use in the background (especially 1st). Thanks! Very good video, useful for information you shared and nice to see.
Hey dude!! Would you suggest a better one for this price range!? I really like it but I want to buy one which I can use it for a long time. ( I feel these are little outdated)
Good video but if you use them with iPhone they work much better with instant connection when you turn them on. I also have them and i would say one con is the sound quality, it is decent but the standard iPhone earbuds sound similar for comparison.
my beats x stop working after 2 months, that was 3 weeks ago batter fault error, $110 down the drain now rocking a jbl everest elite 150nc( $200) wireless and jabra elite active 65t($190) true wireless
Seems like from other reviews that there is a battery defect that Apple refuses to do a recall. Apples seems more interested in appearance of product reliability instead of customer satisfaction. No Apple store is replacing these even under warranty. My BeatsX battery just gave out and am ready to toss them in the trash. Liked them while they worked. I had a $10 wireless that lasted longer.
thanks for the great video do we need to turn them off or leave them on , since we keep them around our neck ....for exemple somebody call me if they are off i need to turn them on ...what do you think ? thanks again bro sidi
I've had 2 pairs before and they both stopped working after 6 months and I took really good care of them but they still broke and it's too expensive to keep buying them
I think the main and the only con of these headphones which I have had for 3 years now, and otherwise love them, is a VERY VERY VERY poor sound, especially lows, bass is literally not existent and the rest is kind of okay ish, not a $120+ level at all. Thats literally the only complain I have, but its major. Because of that alone I wills stay away from any beats product in future
I have AirPods and I want to use these for a week and see how I like them compared to the AirPods. I don’t want to use them like the AirPods so I just leave them on my neck during school and during the rest of the day
@@eddiemooon were you happy with the phone call quality of the beats x? On beats flex they seem to have changed the location of Microphone so not sure how that works... Also they are still using W1 chip but I don't think it should make a significant difference.
I got a question I had beats solo 3 in the red color and I’ve used Bluetooth so much on them until one point they didn’t want to turn on I used the aux cord that came with them it’s been a year since I had my studio 3 and I’m planning on buying these the beats x but I’m asking will it be to the point where they won’t turn on anymore like the studio 3 that happened to me since the beats x have no aux will this happen to me if I buy beats x
z3ro7o luck shouldn't be part of a product especially when a company doesn't offer repair of their product at such price ,they should make sure it lasts long. Anyways I'm not the only one effected, there are many unlucky ones like me , please care to validate the same on net. Battery is one of the biggest problem that early adopters of the product faced.
amit sharma you are right. I read it alot. I must he happy then. But i bought it at the apple store. They have one of the best services i ever seen. As long you got a warrenty. They will give you a new pair right away. Same with my iphone 8+ with a broken battery.
These are better than the AirPods mainly in 3 facts sound quality fit in ears and battery quality Things that can be improved battery life we’re on our phones all the time I don’t need them dying active noise canceling or passive instead of noise reduction whatever it is now not a major one since I hear no background noise improved latency and connectivity wireless charging if that’s possible with the current design and a non matte finish it’s really irritating polished would be better In a perfect world automatic song detection would be great it detects a genre for instance R&B EDM Alternative and automatically equalizes to the best setting on that track Bass is my main thing like a good book sound If only AirPods fit in the ears like this so for pods I have to go with Samsung Buds until the AirPods 2 or 3 come out not these AirPods 1.5 or whatever still like AirPods but without a built in magnet to stick to the ear canal or an official non jank Apple ear hooks cover I can’t recommend based on fit alone So if you want Apple go with Beats X or Powerbeats Wireless if you want true wireless go with Galaxy Buds the price is unbeatable Jabra a little short on battery life Sennheiser good sound but battery too short and not worth the price Sony is also good for true wireless but there is cut outs and latency that are so severe it’s compromising and the sport Sony’s look bad the regular model looks better has better colors but has another compromise not getting a good ear seal I only bring up Sony since they are the only true wireless buds with official active noise canceling but the battery life is also truly abysmal at 3 hours Galaxy Buds are the best pod designed true wireless earbuds at the moment best battery life good enough sound nice design and wireless charging at only $129.99 they could use a gold color option though and just the tiniest better iOS support mainly for updating firmware issues etc.
I've had my BeatsX for over a year. I exercise daily which includes heavy cardio. I sweat like a beast during cardio and I never has any issues. I just saw a review on RU-vid that claims that these are not water-proof and should not be used during sweaty exercising. I disagree. The only issue when I use these during a sweaty workout is the ear buds will sometimes have issues staying in my ear. However, I just read a review by this one dude who had a brilliant idea. He wears his BeatsX upside down then crosses the cables to wear them correctly in his ears. I tried out his technique and voila...no more slippage.
I got a pair for my birthday and one side didn’t really work and then it went out by the second time I turned it on and I just exchanged it and for another pair and it’s the same thing so from personal experience they’re low quality this coming from a girl gamer and my boyfriend also games we both have a pair of sennheiser headphones mine I can cut the surround sound off or on idk if they’re supposed to have almost no volume in the left side when it’s at half or what but I think most people prefer it to be even
