I actually tested my Beats X fast charge last night. Plugged it in at 20% and set a timer for 5 minutes, I ended up with 83% charge. They lasted 5 more hours after that. Fast charge FTW
In my opinion the Beats X are the best! Amazing sound, and always keep them secured in my neck! The battery life is a strong point. The best acquisition I have made. Kudos
JR Walker you get 5 hours off 83%? I get that 4 hours from 100 but I listen on full blast. Does that make a difference? What volume you keep yours at? I have a loud motorcycle that's why I have em on full blast and I love charging mine in between gas ups and have listening time haha
RocKo Lee Gutierrez I also use mine at full blast almost all the time. That particular time was also at full volume. Only time it's not that high up is when I'm at work, but 100% lasts me an 8 hour day. That usually does make a difference though.
I really enjoyed the comparison! I have both beats x and AirPods and was debating on which to return (keeping the AirPods). I will say though the claimed battery life on the AirPods on the Apple website is actually 5 hours so it technically held up to what it is capable of. Great video overall though!
Everyone asks me: "but they are easy to loss, arent they?" - jesus, people, its something IN YOUR EAR, im mean, you will feel if it falls!! In my case I can even to parkour with it, its no prob. And u keep them in the case so.. no, u dont lose them, they r great o/
HeLpMeBrO he's not kidding. I once bet one of my apple hater friends that if I put them in his ears that he couldn't get them out unless he used his hands. The dude stood there shaking vigorously for a full minute and they didn't move am inch. Easiest $5 of my life
Pedro Amaral actually you're very wrong, being fully wireless makes them VERY easy to lose, and anyone can easily grab it from your ear, unlike the other options since they are connected by a cable
X3 is really the only option. Airpods lack sound quality, noise isolation and controls. Beats X lack cable management, waterproofing and are still more expensive.
I've had the beats x for about 3 months now, I love them! When I first got them I had the iPhone 6 and connecting my beats to the 6 was frustrating, it was still able to connect but I would have to turn the beats on and off and also the Bluetooth on the phone. But now that I have the 7 plus I have no issues, just turn on the beats and I'm ready to go. So I would say that it works best with newer devices.
Marwa Sa if you're doing a phone call it works perfectly, I've never had an issue. And of course there is an option to listen to the call on the phone or the headphones.
Roberto A. Delgado dear sir would you please help me again dear sir I heard that the mic is very sensitive but noisy .. I mean while it ribbing with face or shirt , it can be hear in earbuds noisily ,, is that true ?? Thanks very much
Jaybirds, with the perfect set up on the mysound app, kills them all even in getting heavy bass. Just gotta know how to tune them up with the mysound app.
The X3s have a much faster charging time according to my experience. I use them a lot and have never run out of battery and I was really surprised when they charged from low battery to fully charged in only about 40 min.
I went with the AirPods - but my main use for them is business. I.e. talking to clients, conference meetings, etc. I find that the noise cancellation is awesome when talking to clients. I listen to music between day to day business requirements. If audio is your only concern then maybe switch devices for that immersive experience. (That's what I do.)
I'm a headphone geek and the jaybirds are the best buds I've had yet ( I've had Bose beats x etc, the sound quality is amazing the design looks great the battery lasts me all day( it doesn't take too long to charge either " if you want an all over great headphone Is the jaybirds X3
I just don't think the AirPods are comparable to either of the other two due to the fact it's actually completely wireless vs a small wire on the others. The AirPods kindve have a different purpose too, probably not as good as sound quality as the others but the convenience or portability is amazing. I got some air pods yesterday and love them
What is up! Hope you guys enjoyed this much requested video, and smartphone season is right around the corner. Busy schedule, but excited to bring more content in the coming weeks :) :) :) - Justin
Ch4rge exactly better sound quality and fit way better. I was scared to get them because I thought they sounded like the EarPods. Been having these for months and I have no complaints
For real. Everyone says that an audiophile would never use AirPods (which isn't true; they tend to have diverse collections), but when they do, they can easily tell a massive difference. I'm not an audiophile so I assumed I wouldn't be able to hear that difference, but boy was I wrong! It's really obvious. I think reviewers are confusing sound *signature* with sound *quality.* The signature is the same, but the quality is one another level. No, not as good as a $100 pair of IEMs, but still good.
The heights are also much much better, even more noticeable than the bass. And no distortion at low or high volume, they sound really great. People like me need some earskinz for better fit but thats all. They are worth every penny.
The fitting on his ear is probably different and might be on the lose end. But idk how your gonna complain with him saying that the sound is different when the AirPods still sound like shit. Rather they sound better than the regular EarPods or not
-.- Cat no you don’t have “dumb ears”. you’re just not a sheep and you can actually think for yourself and not automatically think they’re good just because everyone likes them. in reality they’re getting ripped off but they either don’t know it, or are ok with it because its apple.
The jaybirds don't really charge with micro usb, they need a proprietary adapter which if you lose youre screwed, i think you should mention these things in the future, might be gamechanging for ppl
The best thing about owning AirPods is how much you get stared at. People think you're like rich af. I hear so many people say "wow that guy has AirPods!" Makes my day every time
Love the fit of the Beats X but like you I also thought the cable was to long and was getting in the way. I am sticking with my Jaybird X3, the sound quality is the best of the 3.
Peter Almvall Dear Sir , what about the mic in beats X ? I will use it for long calls maybe about four hours just inside home .. do you recommend me to buy it ?? Thank you very much for help
I think preference is important wires can be annoying and completely wireless AirPods sound really nice. Besides you can get Jaybird x2's right now for about $70 I have them and they sound pretty good and almost last an entire work day battery wise just charge them at lunch for about twenty minutes and I still get a few more hours battery life when I get home. Those beats x just seem to have way to long of a cord and because they charge with a lightning cord probably wouldn't fare well for Android users.
AirPods are hands down the best wireless buds to get. You get truly wireless earbuds and you can charge the case while you're using them to listen. They may have only 5 hours of battery, but since we don't use them for more than 3 hours in 1 sitting, they will be in the case being recharged back to 100%, so I would say they practically have a 20 hr battery life and you can leisurely recharge the case for 1 hour to get it back to 100%. Battery is NEVER an issue with AirPods. With the W1 chip making pairing very effortless, it doesn't get any better than that to those who have iPhone and Mac.
I have the Beats X and I have rather long neck so I don't notice the cable at all. But I do agree the sound isn't amazing but personally I like the look of the Beats X and I'm only ever going to use them when I'm on the move so sound quality isn't going to be a big issue. Overall no regrets but I hope Apple opens up their W1 chip to third party audio makers.
Was always a big supporter of the Jaybird. The first one was amazing. It lasted me long enough to actually skip buying the X2 and go straight to the X3. Then all the problems started. In less than a year a bought 3 pairs. With the first pair, one side just stopped working and would come on after some vigorous tapping until it was completely gone. All within a couple of months. The 2nd pair of X3s about 6-7 months in just died, stopped charging and/or turning on all together for no apparent reason. The LED indicator wouldn’t even light up. In short they are made like trash and durability of Jaybirds took a nose dive with the X3. I’ve switched to Bose and even though they are great so they don’t provide the isolation I got from the Jaybirds with the Comply foam tip. So I’ll will be looking out for another pair and maybe a pair of Beats will be next.
Flip the beats over and cross them, making an x in your throat. Hence the “X” in Beats X. It shortens the cable perfectly. Even for me, having a 17 inch neck.
theSyd yeah I subbed to him at the start of the vid but had to unsubscribe when I heard that. Can't stand all these apple haters. I have the AirPods and it is NIGHT AND DAY between them and the EarPods. So much so that I nearly cried when I first listened. I've never had quality headphones before, but in my opinion the sound was stunning.
Pha Nguyen from what I've seen, the AirPods are priced fairly, compared to other totally wireless earphones. If you compare any wireless earphones to a wired one in the same price range, the wired one is going to win every time, sound quality wise. But you're comparing apples and oranges.
Pha Nguyen exactly what theSyd said. In order for a fair comparison, you must compare AirPods to another pair of FULLY WIRELESS EARBUDS THAT COST $160. That is the only fair comparison. Even buds with a string have a massive advantage, so you have to look at other earbuds that are completely standalone, which also cost similar to make it fair.
Thomas Woodfield I feel the same way. I tried 3 brands of wireless Bluetooth. Had to get them replaced more then once. Love my AirPods, great quality, fast connectivity . Apple never disappoints.
Totally disagree with you on the AirPods, they sound so much better than EarPods, it's not even close, I agree with you on the Beats X, they sound okay, I love the bass though, the X3, they're damn good.
The Jaybird x 3 is super, will give the best bass using the equalizer in app especially if you use the foam tips which really improve all the sound 40%.
I have both AirPods and lighting enabled EarPods and I can say that the bass on the AirPods is much deeper, louder, and just a more premium sound and experience. Lol
The beats X are GREAT! I had them for a year and I loved them! But they do have a battery deficiency. Recently my beats X started flashing the white light three times and it won’t connect to anything )): I’m really hoping that the apple store helps me out but honestly it’s not a long-term pair of headphones. If this happened to anyone else please let me know how you fixed it!
I would choose beats x because I have an 3 Apple devices to they will be able to connect quickly and I’d rather have better sound quality rather than simplicity
Dear Sir Is there any problem with mic in calls ?? I heard that the mic is very sensitive but noisy .. I mean while it ribbing with face or shirt , it can be hear in earbuds noisily ,, is that true ?? I will use it for long call phones maybe about four hours aday Thanks very much
I am very much confused between the two. My preference is the one which is better in bass. I would just like to know on tweaking in the app does jaybirds give same or better bass than beats x ?
I bought the airpods and beatx today, the beats have wayy better sound quality and are hella noise cancelling, while airpods on the other hand are completely hands free and easy to carry, however they're not very noise cancelling, and they tend to hurt my ears after wearing them for more than an hour, but the airpods are for school, to hide (If you have long hair) but beats are just so much better, the wire is a little too long but with the quality you'll get over it, the wire isn't that much of a problem. Beatsx are defo the way to go
Ive been watching comparisons between the beats and AirPods and you’ve definitely had the best review! I am leaning more towards the beats though. I want something that I can use all the same charging cables with unlike the jbirds and I’m very active and am serious with sound quality I couldn’t imagine myself with the pods I’d probably lose them immediately
I know that the jaybird’s are good and stuff but it Has a proprietary cable to charge that connects to a Micro USB cable. So if you lose the charging thing then you have to buy a new one but until then you can’t use them if they run out of battery. So I think the best value for your money is the beats ex because they may be $20 more but you’ll be spending more money just to get the proprietary charger for the Jaybird‘s. So in my Opinion The BeatsX are better than the rest. And besides you can get the BeatsX on sale for $100 sometimes.
I have the Apple AirPods and I love them, I'm getting 5 hours and the case 24hrs, and the confort of not having any cable on is just fantastic. Besides I really like the design of them.
BS. slightly worse than the ear pods? What air and ear pods do you have? The air pod straight destroy the EarPods. bass is very punchy sound is clear. If you base this off of the stock Apple Music app you COMPLETELY failed this review. Apple built these air pods for: clear audio across the board with the stock music app now on the app side, use an app like equalizer that opens up the air pods true potential. You can adjust equalizer independently for both sides and this really opens up the AirPods true sound capability. The air pods are versatile for those that like bass there is an app for them and the air pods hold the bass very well even on a custom eq setting. The air pods have that unlocked potential you didn't even touch. These are the in ear phones that are like the camera versatile and super capable when you unlock its potential and clearly you are not doing this.
29kalel yeah I subbed to him at the start of the vid but had to unsubscribe when I heard that. Can't stand all these apple haters. *Fuzzy Wuzzy* I admit that he worded it poorly, but no. He's saying that the difference is obvious _even_ with the default music app, and that it should be noted in the review for that reason alone. BUT… if you choose to play around with it with an EQ app, you can get them to sound far better yet still. I can't vouch for the second part because I've never tried it, but I can vouch for the AirPods having far better sound quality than the EarPods out of the box.
I absolutely hate those in ear tips on the beats and jaybird headphones. I’ve been accustomed to the apple EarPods since my first iPod back in 2006. That said, is there an option out there like the jaybird but with the ear “tips” like the AirPods?
Great video! I look forward to seeing more so I'll be sure to keep notifications on, actually I saw this one because I received a notification about it lol. ALSO, I absolutely love that you record in 4K :D taking full advantage of that with my LG monitor. XOXO Gabrielle
Ughh, my choices are only between Airpods/BeatsX but after seeing this video, now you gave me more problem, lol. If only Jaybird cost more than 130$ it would be an easy pick for me. Nice review though, keep it up!
I just bought a pair of Jaybird x3s and they’re horrible! They fall off your ears almost every time you turn your head, and they sound like budget earphones. Even with customizations. They aren’t even that loud
AirPods double tap feature doesnt only come with siri, you can change the buttons through bluetooth settings and make it skip songs, go back, or even pause and play music.
Lets look at some stats. You can go on eBay and easily find a new pair for $50. The 1st gen AirPods still go for $100 used on eBay. This just proves any Apple product can hold their value years later.
The AirPods are so convenient simple and fit comfortably because of how light they are and I’ve never had them die on me with the case I can watch videos on iPad for hours and never run out of battery because there’s always times you take breaks and throw them in the case that charges them very fast. On the other hand I work in a loud factory and the AirPods are no good in loud environments so Jaybird X2’s are my work buds for now. I would love something as simple and light as AirPods but with noise canceling. I feel like the AirPods would be perfect if they had noise canceling. Who cares how they look they work very well and are the most comfortable in the ears to the point that ounce there in my ears I never have to adjust them. Hopefully in the next 2 or 3 years the perfect true wireless earbuds will exist.
There is still sort of a feature for the Jaybird: the first time connecting, you have to do this manually trough the settings, but when you power it on the next time, it will reconnect automatically when your bluetooth is on
^ not sure why people harp on the W1 connectivity. Every bluetooth device I've owned automatically connect after pairing for the first time, which takes less than 30 seconds. Never had an issue, always connects automatically after first pair. Same as Airpods pretty much.
I watched and the only Wireless are the AirPods. No Wires or Cords people. Wireless Headphones/ Wireless Earbuds, the Same no difference here. If they have Wires or Cords no go for Wireless.
Hi Man, thanks for this video and I have two questions for you : 1- can I connect it with two devices in same time?" I mean can i work on my PC and using my cell phone" 2- how is the Sound insulation out of 10?
AirPods are not really that expensive. You get the lighting cable, two seperate AirPods and the charging case. And the sound is not as bad as people say - it really depends on the fit in your ears.
The AirPods are amazing because I don’t have to worry about any weight bouncing around when I do my runs, or have to worry about if one of my earbuds gets cut or caught on something and rips out of my ears.
cesarlactico1286 I can tell you that the AirPods have outstanding noise cancelation. They sound significantly better than normal calls, and even in busy environments, the fact that they have TWO microphones means that they can use sound isolation for excellent calls. This is all from personal experience using an iPhone 7
