@@AbjSir I hold them all the way to the end, even after they fade to see if it's some sort of bug that's happening. I've noticed they've recently changed the speed of all songs so that it's easier to hit on PERFECT+. I've contacted support but they've ignored me.

For holds you have to hold below the tapline to get maximum score. This has been discussed on r/Beatstar subreddit.
