My mom has Basque ancestry, her paternal distant ancestor came to Canada from St-Jean-de-la-Luz (or San Juan de la Luz at some point, I'm sure), on the french side of the basque country. He was a sailor and from father to son, they remained fishermen for generations even here, never staying far from the sea! Still to this day, my mom loves to fish, she goes on fishing trips with my dad, and they bought their retirement house with one requirement: it had to be by the water! Seafood is what makes her most happy, and through these videos, and my genealogical research into her family, I can see where that comes from! Her basque DNA is pretty diluted now, after generations of blending in with the local french-canadian lot, she only shows up as 1% Basque on dna tests (and 98% french!!!! thanks, generationally inbreeding Acadians!). Still can't get her onboard with sushi though, for some reason... she eats whelks like they're candy, but a California roll is beyond her reach, go figure! Must be all the inbreeding...! xD

You have hit in Ml and emotional vaine, I'm from BASQUE Ancestry, from my Mother and Father side, they arrived in the AMERICA'S in 1514, from my Mother side, to Cuba in a Military Expedition, with Diego Velázquez, My blood group is the classic B - from that Rigion, and I hade the PRIVILEGE, of living there as a Teenager, when I go back will be like going HOME !!!

I saw that kind of boat in Netherlands - Flewoland Island. It is such a beauty ship that you visit. Great ideal for bring back a great history in the local people and the world. I adore your eyes Markoooooooooooooooooooooooo. And and and at 9:21 I LOVE that your hair does not show out of the hat. It is so relieving I swear. Please do not let your hair strip out of the hat like you used to do from before. Your hair used to show out of the hat towards the right side of your forehead. No. Hide it. You look WAY WAY WAY more handsome now. And Alex please do consider changing your hair style. Guys your cinematography is beyond the beyondity of amazing. Hello VageBrothers! I'm not sure if you have gone over this before, but I'm new to traveling with my DSLR and I was wondering if you could talk about traveling on a plain with your backpacks and camera gear. Do you have issues with tripods, do you carry on everything or do you have to check a bag, have you had any issues with stolen equipment, etc.? Just over all how flying with your gear is. Give me pintxo (I had to look up the spelling) or give me death. Now you're talking. All those amazing pintxos or tapas is what I remember best from San Sebastian. I didn't want to leave it was just so dream like. I'm talking 20 years ago and I still miss it. How fabulous the whole Basque country is and you are showing some great stuff. That rowing team in a boat that looked like a large canoe. Think they got the design from North American Indians? You have really made me want to return. Of course, you are right, they are not less basque, but these wonderful brothers have not recorded any program in Lesaka, Leitza, Biarritz, Garazi or our historical capital Iruña either. They simply can´t go to every and each place.
