But all I remember about the song is that phrase, and the fact that I didn't like the song when it came out. 🙂 I'm not a Maker's Mark fan either. All I've had is the regular and the 46, but I've realized that the MM profile is too bright and metallic for me. On RU-vid you sounded fine all along. 16:05 Maker's Mark has a lower barrel entry proof than most distilleries - IIRC it's only 110 proof - which means that going into the barrel it already has more water in it than most bourbons. This, I suspect, is a factor in the thin mouthfeel. 18:29 To me that's a fire plug, and a hydrant is where you attach the garden hose. But then I speak Southern. 🤠 I hunted for Bernheim, regular or barrel proof, a couple of weeks ago when I had some unexpected fundage, and couldn't find it. That irked me, since it's been a couple of years since I had my one bottle of it (the regular proof) and I wanted to see if it's as good as I remember.
