Gosh! One 4gets how wide the streets are in Byo - hardly any traffic- must be a Sunday. Pleased to see the streets are tidy and clean. Thank you Mr Zim.

Going as far back to the colonial era - Bulawayo museum was regarded internationally as one of a handful of the finest museums on the African continent. In this clip you see St Mary’s cathedral basilica - awarded minor Basilica status in 2013 by Pope Francis head of the Catholic Church….the only basilica cathedral in southern and central Africa .

So the roads were built before cars, wide enough to turn an ox drawn wagon / carriage in the opposite direction, so you did not have to go out of town to turn around. Very forward thinking and they had the space

Also called "Skies" by all who know and love the city for the beautiful sky she wears, its always beautiful, especially sunsets with the altitude and the sun setting next door over the Botswana Kalahari

We remember those colourful jacaranda trees. Edgars, we used to buy clothes and a long time ago there was a Woolworths in Bulawayo! 👍

What a beautiful city. Plenty of jacarandas (love this tree) gives a pleasant and colourful touch everywhere. Would like to visit again Zimbabwe and also Bulawayo. Be sure Zimbabwe is one of the most beautiful countries in Africa. Keep it well preserved. You deserve.

I watched a lot of walking videos from around the world, of all, Zimbabwe has the best cities with wide roads and well demarcated buildings even compared to the so called first world

I grew up in Bulawayo then married a South African…looking at these pictures, I just want to visit my home…

Little congestion is a big sign of slow business or no business at all in some cases trust me i grew up there. Most of high performing businesses and industries have been moved to harare and some eventually died out because of Zanupf and the zim government don't want to develop the city any further hence there's very little development for decades. Long ques for the most basic of services. if you live abroad and come back for visit, you wonder how people manage to survive such in such a slow paced environment. Of course its all tribal related problems the city faces.

You're township and towns looks very clean You might be right people to school ANC government, how to run the country. Keep well

Bulawayo, half the size of New York cemetery and twice as dead, we used to call it when I was a teenager there. Seems appropriate now, more so then in the 1960's, when it was still a bustling city. Thanks for bringing back sweet memories.
