I am an extremely introverted person and I hate large groups, but this song makes me want to hear it in concert charged by energy of a ridiculously large crowd. It has a sort of 'the more the merrier' kind of feel to it and it just makes me happy.

É quando eu vejo coisas lindas assim que esqueço tudo de ruim que existe no brasil, isso é como uma faísca de coisas incríveis que poderiam e já existiram nesse país, mas hoje são esquecidas, vamos lá brasil, podemos fazer melhor!

Imagine the birds dancing but it's humans turning and dancing and laughing. But from every age, every skin colour, every gender, every country, every religion with the ones with no religion... just dancing and singing this song, having fun together. Now that would be something to celebrate about.

Oh god, this is so good, I can feel the producers of this masterpiece really studied and put the soul of Brazilian music into this!! It even sounds like it was MADE to be sung in Brazilian portuguese.

no matter how we screw things up, it's seeing music videos like this that remind me that we as humans are pretty damn amazing with our love and passion for singing, dancing, creating songs like THIS that bring life to how we live it, versus just overly generically lyrical pop music that takes away from THIS kind of just...love for nature and unity.

THIS is what I was looking for. A version of this great song without that garbage beatboxing "Pop Pop" part to ruin it in the middle. That part always just completely ruined the harmony and mood this song had going on in it.

I was first introduced to Barbatuques when "Baiana" was used as the theme for the redesign of the video game Shadowrun back in 2007. Been a fan ever since despite not speaking a single bit of Portuguese. I was really happy to see them at the beginning of the Closing Ceremony though I don't think NBC here in the US even mentioned the name of the group. :(
