Crete took me completely by surprise, the variety of food, landscapes en kind people is just insane! can't wait to go back! Check out some photo's on my Instagram: instagram.com/bertchristiaens/ Thanks for the lovely words!
I love to stay in Crete, I have been there 3 years in a row, only last year I couldn´t and this summer is soooo unsure because of the virus and travel restrictions. I am from Norway and have greek family there - sometimes family is who is in your heart, not by blood. I will come back, be sure!
@@BertChristiaens I was so lucky this summer to have tickets in the little slot in end of July till mid August, when it opened up for some travel, so my daughter and I was happy to go for 15 days on a marvellous, but different holiday; first time in Paleochora and Loutro, fantastic! I certainly hope the vaccines will be effective soon, so things can go back to normal in all countries around the world.
@@jorunn62 Wow Amazing! I also planned a trip to Greece, but sadly enough it was canceled by the government of Belgium :( I'm also waiting for everything to go back to normal. It's been 7 month's I didn't travel! I'm really in need of some good sun & beautiful landscapes :p great to hear you had a good time in Paleochora and lotro, it's on my list!
Crete is such a beautiful and lovely place. I would like to stay and spend my entire life in Greece. I agree I was wrong most beautiful place in this world is Greece not Switzerland. Beautiful islands of Greece are so enchanting. "Incredible Crete".
Thank you for a beautiful view of crete and sharing your experiences. I have been to crete but didn’t know such amazing places, towns, villages etc existed. 👏👏👏🥰🥰🥰🤩🤩🤩
Hello Bert! Your video is absolutely beautiful! You made a wonderful work and showed marvelously lots of places! As I understand, you stayed for two months in Crete! I wish you to realize your dream and live there one day! You have a new (Greek) follower, stunned by the quality of your images!
This is fantastic!! I was lucky enough to stay in Kastelli Pediados for 7 years. Went to elementary school there. Wonderful memories!! Been to every place in this video. Beautifully done. Thank you for putting this together!!!! Εκπληκτικό βίντεο!!!
@@BertChristiaens About 5 years we almost did, but then the financial crisis hit Greece. We chickened out 😉. But we still love it and have many friends there. Home away from home.
Hello Thank you very much for your superb video. I am a Greek at heart and I have my little house in Crete. I would like to visit the island more and looking at your landscapes, I did not know where Plakias Rock was: it is a magnificent place. Continue to make us dream.
am planning my trip in September and I would need your advice. Near the village of Amari, do you know Amari Dam Reservoir (the water reservoir I think) present in this beautiful video? thank you very much and have a nice day 💙🦉🇬🇷
@@BertChristiaens I was stationed in the Air Force there and it was a great time. We were able to hunt partridge in the mountains, scuba dive at places, body surf and explore all over the Island. We camped at Vai and walked to a nearby village and attended a wedding reception and there was no electricity there at the time. We would sneak girls into the Minoan Palace at night to show it to them. The meals and the wine were so precious. I took my wife to Crete 20 years later as I was not married while there and she also fell in love with the place. However, it sure had changed on the North side. Glad you had a great time there. Frank
Hi Bert. Lovely video of Crete. I went here some years back, sadly before I owned a drone! Now I’ve seen your video I want to revisit! Have subscribed 👍🏻 Jackie
This is my local landscape… a little different to yours 🤣. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ATWF1sVELSk.html. Hope you have a great week. Jackie
Hey, thanks for your nice comment, Crete is indeed a nice place to visit, let me know when you are there :) I'm maybe planning to go there for some months
@@BertChristiaens fantastic!! My best holiday we had there, ramshackle little villa on the beach, opposite an island. And a fab hike through the Samaria Gorge. Cheers Bert, have a super week 👍🏻👍🏻
I rarely comment on videos but for you I have to make an exception. I visited Crete for the first time in July and immediately fell in love with the place and its people. You perfectly captured the atmosphere of the island and landed some amazing shots! This really felt good to watch and brought back beautiful memories :) When did you film the footage, the lighting is great and the beaches so empty :D
I gotta say, I've seen many videos of Crete on RU-vid but this one is very special. The way you shot landscapes truly reflects the beauty of the island. The information on screen was appreciated too. I've learned things that even I didn't know and I'm from Crete haha. Next time try to explore more of Chania and Agios Nikolaos if its possible. 😁 P.s The music made this even more of a stunning video.
Hey, Thanks for your nice words! this island is so amazing! I'm going back this summer and will stay more in Heraklion :) So Agios Nikolaos will not be far to visit :D
Wow, awesome video. I had no idea Crete was so beautiful. I was looking for a good video about the island after reading a history of the WW2 Battle of Crete and the German occupation. The drone makes it much easier to visualize the locations of where the fighting took place.
Beautiful shots Bert! I was there in February and made a quick video of a restaurant on the beach. When I got home I wish I shot more. So in Juni I'm going back for another try. Give us more video's haha!
@@BertChristiaens Hey Bert, it's the first thing I will pack lol. I had my Mavic with me in February, but since then I've upgraded to the the pro 2. I'm so curious how the footage will come out. I wish I could stay there for 2 months like you thought haha. When are you going back?
@@Dutchvandude Nice, I also want to upgrade to the pro 2, much more possibilities for color grading etc. and I hope as soon as the corona thing is over :D
@@BertChristiaens Sweet! I have chosen it because of the 1 inch sensor, more safety features and flight time. Let's all hope the virus will die done and we can all go back to making videos again.
@@BertChristiaens Keep it up the amazing work , if you not see this yet check out through this website my instagram, tik tok and more photography you my like 👇www.jma82.com/gallery/
Fantastic video and shots Bert. I can't believe it was done on a Mavic Air, it looks like a Mavic Pro 3 or something. What time of year were you there?
