Easy 4 hour T2 tour in the Alpstein, from Hoher Kasten over Stauberen down to Lake Sämtis (grilling place here!) to Restaurant Ruhsitz where you can rent trottinetts to zoom down the rest of the way to Brülisau. Astonishingly beautiful views all around, not too strenuous, and good to do with kids! The paths tend to get crowded, so you won't get lonely for sure.
