Belgium is a small country with a varied landscape. The mountains Ardennes in the south of country and the plains in the north. Nevertheless, agriculture is developed across the country.In the sky over Belgium are almost always a lot of clouds, which give special expressiveness landscapes.

Hi...i live in belgium on the other part of the country....here, a lot of the natural beauty is gone....more and more buildings arise....think i have to move to the Ardennes?!

Where to live is a difficult question. It is associated with many circumstances ... But it is very important to be in nature as often as possible. And here I agree with you - the Ardennes are very suitable for this. There are so many beautiful places! I wish you to make the right choice ...

Hi Naya, Vlielsalm is, of course, a typical Walloon town. Nice enough, but boring, I think. I didn't live there, so I can't say for sure. The nearest large city is Liege = 70 km. German Aachen is 80 km away. The Netherlands Maastricht is 100 km away. The capital of Luxembourg is 100 km away. But my favorite small German resort of Monschau is only 50 km away.. Hello Naya. As Vincent said, Vielsalm is rather a boring little town - yes, sorry - but you may want to focus on the landscapes around. It's a highly rural part of Belgium, with deep forests, delightful little rivers and lots of small producers of local foods (the Belgians tend to be gourmets). You might want to check out videos about "Ourthe" or "Amblève", two local rivers with beautiful valleys, or "Ardennes", the forested area where Vielsalm is situated. It's a region that's highly popular with the Belgians themselves and with their Dutch neighbours. It's soft, rural tourism: no big developments, just lots of small inns and b&b's, people hiking and cycling around and enjoying the local specialties in small restaurants.
