Here’s the thing. After watching MCU Movie: “Wow that was an amazing movie. 5 stars.” After watching MCU movie 2nd time: “It was ok.” Watch same MCU movie after some time has passed: “meh” After watching DC movie: “That was okay. “A bit too dark and confusing.” While watching DC movie 2nd time: “What!? how did I miss that before.” “It makes more sense now.” Watch DC movie after some time has passed: “This movie is amazing. It has aged so well.” I’m certain that a few of you has gone through this same transition over time.
@@abonny Preach it, i hadn`t even seen the Justice League yet because Joss Whedon was on it. Snyder`s version, come what may, will be the definitive version for me whenever it comes out.
"You're not a God you're not even a man" - Batman "They taught me the world only makes sense if you force it to" - Batman Batman had some epic lines in this movie.
MrGrownman455 and then he goes to admit that Kal was more human than he...there’s depth to this story that a lot of moviegoers didn’t recognize, and since it was a vision of a 5 movie arc from Zach, we only the have the end of JL to suggest the Batman Superman relationship evolving. Really hope the new management at WB can make it work with Ben and Henry
@@drumnbassdan A Beautiful Lie is arguably my favorite song on the OST. That and The Red Capes are Coming. They are well composed but have traits that aren’t typical of Hans alone. Hans doesn’t seem to experiment with bold sounds. Dream is Collapsing from Inception features the horn type sound in it but the tracks for BVS feature very bold sounds. Must there be a Superman is another example. Their talents combined made for a great soundtrack.
@@ciscoramone5176 how do you know if your teams strong enough? If you can’t bring down the charging bull and don’t wave the red cape at it. Such a great line.
“New rules?" "We're criminals, Alfred. We've always been criminals. Nothing's changed." "Oh yes it has, sir. Everything's changed. Men fall from the sky. The gods hurl thunderbolts. Innocents die. That's how it starts: The fever, the rage, the feeling of... powerlessness... that turns good men cruel."
Imagine you're Bruce as a child and the last words you hear from your dying parents are "Martha". That's the whole reason for him becoming Batman. Right when he's about to kill Superman and he says "Save Martha" Bruce realizes he's basically Joe Chill in that moment. How can you not react the way he did?
@@drkidd25, Hans wrote Beautiful Lie. By wrote I mean that he redid a version of a music cue that Steve Jablonsky did for one of the movies Hans scored in 2003.
Batman vs Superman will always be a masterpiece. It's the best creation of zack snyder. With music by hans Zimmer in background every scene was a killer scene.
I watched a LOT of classic and international films and I can say that Zack did a obscure, diferent and a damn good job with Man of Steel and Batman v Superman (Utimate Edition) and I can't wait to see his version of Justice League.
I think he's the best modern composer, whereas John Williams is the best futuristic composer and Howard Shore is the best composer for medieval stuff, like The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit.
@@literallyjustchickensandwich it's really hard to compare game soundtracks to movie soundtracks that are typically orchestral. Maybe with more modern games, we can. We're just starting that era. Many games still use synths and don't record tracks played by live orchestras, as Zimmer insists on doing even though he composes digitally. Grim Fandango remastered is one exception.
MAN OF STEEL AND BATMAN V SUPERMAN WHERE REALLY...REALLY GOOD MOVIES...I MEAN...I UNDERSTAND THE HATE ON BVS BECAUSE THE TWO HOURS VERSION...BUT THE 3 HOURS...MASTERPIECE
I watched a LOT of classic and international films and I can say that Zack did a obscure, diferent and a damn good job with Man of Steel and Batman v Superman (Utimate Edition) and I can't wait to see his version of Justice League. These movies are really deep than the other superheros films. There's some stuff that the movie don't tell you directly but is still there. I just love them.
LOOOOL Snyder doesn't know anything about how to manage subtle narration. All he tells you is direct and very obvious (like "implying" Superman being a mesiah with the a big image of Christ surround him)
I don't say this often, ever but this is a movie that audience wanted something different from. Other than some minor changes like putting the nightmare batman scene at the beginning to even out the pacing and doing it more like a terminator film for average movie goers, this movie was great
@Fiend Herald you just hating on comic book movies in general. You saying Endgame was horrible when its clear the entire world thinks it's the best Marvel movie which is a fact thanks to the boxs office and audience score and the reactions from different countries. So your actually wrong about Endgame but BvS was decent enough but could've been better.
" That's just how it starts sir. The fever. The rage. That turns good men cruel" Snyder had his faults but he had a vision at least. Not that rehashed Avengers JL script we got. That 7 movie Arc I really wanted to see. Even after the 7 movies Snyder would have left of his own free will and someone new would have been brought in. That's what we should have got
We are in times where people confuses amusement for art. This movie is art, just take a time to watch it cinematography, visuals and the many references of art, poetry and symbolism that Snyder injected into it. At the beggining we have a Batman that kill, a Superman that doubts, and a world that hates. As a piece of art Batman v Superman does what art does, show us a world of imperfection, raising questions but in it beauty also helps us to answer those questions. Batman v Superman is story about imperfection, redemption, self forgiveness, sacrifice and purpouse. Like Bruce we all fail, sometimes we lose the route on ourself, but there is also redemption, or Clark where we all seek our place in the world, looking for answers. Snyder gave us an original piece of art of it own. You can like or not, but Man of Steel, Batman v Superman and now his Justice League are true master pieces true to Snyder's way, a very difficult thing to find in Hollywood nowadays. It sads me that we will not have those things anymore, because people wants amusemente over art.
This movie was way ahead than all marvel movies, Music, Emotions, Darkness, aggression, fight which makes this movie more realistic than any other comic adaptation. Even I remember the first trailer of this movie was extremely powerful as compared to the civil war trailer. DCEU forever .. from Pakistan.
Sadly it isn't happening because Ben Affleck wasn't in the right state of mind at the time plus there were critics who love to bash good movie because it doesn't fit there narrative.
@@IAmDead9 that’s not true at all. He became disillusioned with playing Batman because nobody actually went to watch the projects he worked on outside of the Snyder movies. But I know that doesn’t fit your narrative
The Batman Suite is now one of the best themes ever made. I love soundtracks and this is the best I think since Dark Knight and Candyman before that. This is just 10/10
Almost 7 years later and I still get chills hearing "Their War Here." Representation of Batman ready to strike unimaginable fear into criminals that prey on the fearful
this might be my most watched film ever. next to the raimi trilogy and cap trilogy. Yes I love cbm movies lol. No one stays good in this world. Hearing Supes say that like god damn lol. Except he still tried to talk to Batman even risking his own moms life. How Luthor who is very underrated tricks batman into seeing superman as a threat. WW introduction is fuckin awesome as hell. And of course the music. I could go on but im just here for some casual jams. Movie rocks.
you are right the DCEU Stuff is the better Music at all, but there are still some pieces of the MCEU that are really great: The Avengers Theme, the Ant-Man Theme or The Winter soldier Soundtrack ^^
This is the movie we don't deserve. This is art, not pure earthly entertainment. It would take years for people to recognize the film, but it's worth it.
as a cinematic lover, this soundtrack is very nice. beatiful lie is drawing about sadness and regret their war here is drawing about revenge and batman suite is drawing about angry, insanity, and chaos
Bvs truly was one of the most misinterpreted movies. To think we won’t have any more of snyder’s movie is such a shame. He truly knew what superheroes were supposed to be like.
@@goustnindza8125BvS version of Batman was a version that went insane after enduring so much trauma (robins death, etc). He became such a broken individual that he became a murdering psychopath
@@cheesuscheese2001 in my opinion, bales Batman isn’t scary. There’s 0 reason to fear him. Afflecks Batman is the Batman that a criminal fears running into. I loved the Nolan trilogy, but bale never sold Batman
I loved that scene, and it tells you pretty much everything you need to know about Batman: Introducing him in that way shows that its not the Batman identity, but the man beneath it, that makes him a hero. It shows that when everyone else is running from danger, Bruce is the man who will run toward danger to try to save the people he considers it his duty to protect. And it shows why he is so angry, paranoid, and brutal in this film- because he saw innocent people, people who were his responsibility killed, and for all his abilities and power, he could do nothing to stop it, any more than he could when his parents were shot.
Thank you Snyder for everything you have given us. After the Justice league movie I am sure your vision was legendary. Please come back and save the DC universe. There will always be haters whining complaining that they hate what you have done. But there are loyal fans who want you to complete the painting you started. You need to complete it. However, if you leave, for us, your vision of the DC universe will always remain 'A beautiful lie'- A Comic book fan.
Honestly I felt more emotion at the end of BvS then civil war. The build up of anger with Bruce was so close to us. If I saw a city destroyed and innocent people die from the aftermath of superman I would act the same way.
True.. I was always a Batman fan but BvS made me really root for Batman because I would feel the exact same way Bruce did. The moment when Superman told Bruce not to respond to the Batman Signal a lot of Batman fans in the theater I was in was booing and I was one of them. haha
I get what hes trying to say. Of course suicide squad wasnt great however David Ayer tried to make of something his vision. I think what's great about dc movies is that directors tried to make movies their own with their own distinct vision. That's why he meant by art. Because u can look at a dc movie and see the passion directors put into the movies. Art can be bad and art can be good. The thing with the mcu is that u cant really tell a directors vision. Yes the formula has proven successfully for marvel however the thing about dc is that they got balls especially directors. Of course warner bros has tried messing with the story and directors vision but in the end we still get it. We see the the directors distinct vision. Hell even josstice league u can see it's a Joss Whedon not for good reasons but still u can see it. Hell we wanted and petitioned zack snyder's vision of justice league. Do u see fans petitioning for an mcu movie. Of course not. What I like about dc is that u dont have to watch entire arc just to understand the other movie. U can watch the movies individually and enjoy. I enjoy the approach directors and dc is going for. Of course warners bros needs to let directors do there thing that way we could see the directors vision. That way we can see the artist vision. So yes dc is art. Art can be judged it can be good and bad because of the artist.
@@artmaestro02 exactly! Just try to re-watch marvel best movie, (just call it, for me its winter soldier) for a 3rd time, what you see is repetition. And try re-watch best DC movie (for me wether watchmen or BvS), u'll experience new excitement. That's the difference between fun and art. Even suicide squad maybe not the best dc movie, but it still try to create new character in superhero movie, not following the mainstream formula
Yes. I love anything with superheroes, whether it's marvel or DC. But I do have to say that I kinda connect more with DC. The darkness and truth that there might not be a happy ending is just kinda what brings DC to life. I like the grittieness that DC brings.
This is my favourite movie of all time, i will never forget being 17 and sitting in that theater watching this masterpiece for the first time ever, watching my two favorite comic heros on the big screen. That intro sequence and this music are burned into my head forever.
That final Batman suite is just the complete embodiment of Batman’s anger. It’s SO satisfying! I always come back to this track when I’m angry and just imagine being Batman and beating the crap out of whatever frustrates me.
What a wonderful soundtrack, i really love it. Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL did an amazing job for this epic movie. #BenAffleckthebestBatman #HenryCavillthebestSuperman
A Beautiful Lie is basically like the battle of the notes, on one end darkness fades while light seeps through slowly, with fear dying out and a sorrowful hope returning, persevering to be better to learn and not relive but simply be and live...as the fear dies out and the light and dark dance through in a song.
BVS will always be one of my most favourite soundtracks. Music can really be impactful on how you enjoy a movie, and it's very apparent here unlike JL :/
"There was a time above. A time before. There were perfect things. Diamond absolutes. How things fall. Things on Earth. And what falls is fallen. In the dream they took me to the light. A beautiful lie."
Pity those who didn't understand this movie and still make fun of Martha scene. They would have understood it better if their mom died in gutter for no reason at all.
