“Marlena” appears in several songs on the album “Il Ballo della Vita”. Marlena is not a woman, a person, she is Music, their inspiration, their Muse, who at that moment abandoned them, moved away. And they long for his return to abandon the flat, sterile and immobile earth and return to climbing the peaks. Because only music makes them feel alive.

This is actually the best love song to artistic inspiration, and the fear of the lack of it told by someone that live for music and feels lost without it. Describing the loss of purpose without it. Written probably in a moment of writer block that produced a beautiful poem to the love for music and the preciousness of inspiration for an artist.

Another beautiful song with a beautiful meaning from them is Il dono della vita. Actually I think that is underrate, but is their best and more mature ballad so far.

Great reaction! Since you like their ballads I think you should try "Vent'anni" (20 years old) next - you can probably find a video with English subs on one of those channels you looked at. Or if you want something a bit more upbeat try "Morirò da Re" (I'll Die Like a King) which has an acoustic performance from the same set as this Torna a Casa performance...

Some of those might depend on how much "risqué" content or certain type of language she wants to watch. I noticed that she has posted some religious content. Which is totally fine and good, but the spicy side of Måneskin may or may not appeal to this reactor. (I don't know, I just think it's worth mentioning.)
