The fiddle was brought from God in Heavens to some Scottish gifted artists to play the beautifulest songs to men, women and angels.

Anderson's fiddle is the voice of an entire people. Outside of time, it transports us to the world it evokes.

Mr. Anderson is an absolute master of the wonderful 'ornamentation notes' that separates Scottish music from all the rest.

My manager at subway once told me for every one person that takes the time to put in a written complaint, ten others had that same complaint but not the will to complain. That always stuck with me and I like to apply it in the opposite way, I lie to think that out of 17k views on this video the amount of people who liked this is much MUCH higher than the amount of people that had the will to actually click the like button. Me? I loved it. It was music to my ears 😌

i hate when people think this is some sort of magical gift that popped onto paul out of nowhere and suddenly he was able to play the violin. that is the product of thousands of hours playing and practising. not a gift. thats an insult to that hard working man.

I guess the gift is to be able to get this good even with practise, some people wouldn't make music if they prectised forever, hence it's a gift to be able to do it

I know the second tune is the Braes of Mar a strathspey, I don't recognise the other 2 and I'm very deaf, nerve damage but I still play the accordion, as for fiddle I wasn't so clever, keep safe.

Aha...Paul.Anderson......you are said to be the man who once claimed....."The watering down of the Scottish (Dance) Scene".And there I AGREE COMPLETELY !!!! All due to BBC's promoting their "Celtic Confectionaries(as called in initial circles)".From mid 90s on and earlier, BBC were interferring when accordion bands were concerned. After having destroyed all of their tracks, once recorded of the BBC Scottish Variety Orchestra(operating 1949 - mid 60s) The disgrace of the century!!! But they will lose the battle!!!!

Brilliant playing, but why did someone have to stamp their feet? As James Scott Skinner once said, 'gin ye want tae stamp yer fit, dae it inside yer bits'.

Pretty sure it's him. Pulse changed immediately from strathspey to reel. He was keeping his own time.
