My dog Jet was my best friend for 12 years. He was a stray estimated at 3 years old when he came into my life. 2 years ago he suffered a prolapse and I found out he had cancer. I was told he'd last 6 - 8 months, but I got 2 more years with him. He was my pal, my protector, my whole world. He'd seen me through heartbreak, injury, illness, and the phases of growing up and never once turned his back on me. This past Tuesday was his last day with me. The gate to the rainbow bridge was opened for him by the Vet. I miss him and love him so much, and I can't thank him enough for all the memories.

He escaped his country, he got separated from his little brother. Then he reaches out to him and brought him to Switzerland with him to start a new life. He met my grandma and they got married. They’ve been together for 64 years. Now they are together again💚
My brother was a strong, perfectly healthy doctorate student. He was told that he had liver cancer. He started treatment for two months.He passed away at the age of 49. It has been five months since his death. My brother was a good, good man. My present one, Clover, just turned 8 yrs old yesterday. We are in our 6 week of quarantine and she loves having my husband and my dad ( 94) home all the time. Lots of belly rubs and petting. I wished you lived close because she could always use more loving especially from a golden lover. I hope someday you get another golden, they have so much love to give. I lost the love of my life on April 17th, 2020. We had been together since meeting when we were only 16. We married on April 1st, 1967, one month after I turned 18 and I do not think I will ever get over loosing her. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on February 19th and was called to heaven just two months later.

This is such a beautiful song... I lost my husband last January and the theme of his memory board my daughter painted was the Monarch Butterfly. While one flew away, 3 caterpillars looked on from a branch where an empty chrysalis hung. It was to show myself and my 2 children looking on while he flew away to heaven. At my daddy's burial, the folks working at the graveyard took up the shovel. First ,one male cousin came through the crowd, took up that shovel, said something like "Nobody's covering up Uncle Doug but people who love him." Cousins lined up for their turn to lay my daddy to rest, tears streaming, their beloved and SO respected Uncle Doug, to rest. I've never been more proud of my cousins. I could actually see my daddy's soul smile.

My father passed away 4 weeks ago yesterday from liver and kidney failure. Everyday I see a butterfly and there have been numerous times there has been one around his grave. I stumbled upon this song and it must be a part of my healing process because it definitely hit home and although people think I am crazy I can honestly say I feel that every time I see a butterfly it is a message from my father assuring me that he is indeed free.

My sister just died the other day, june 21, 2015 from a terrible car accident. she was only 36 years old and terribly missed and loved. we all were so close to her, our Jamie. At the funeral, I read these lerics of this song... and also got a tattoo of a butterfly and rose with SIS across the top. its weird and sad how you're so close with someone that they become a part of you, part of your life and one day you just find them gone and you're life feels so much different. And then everyday you just wish that when you wake up tomorrow, they'd be there somehow and everything will be back to how it was before. But you know it's impossible so you just try to relive the old times by reminiscing about the things you did with them, the small details, the laughs, the conversations, the feeling you felt during those moments.

On August 8th 2019 my grandmother died from COPD. She always used to say, "When I am gone, I'm still with you, flying around. My beautiful daughter was with me when she died. Her last words were 'I love you" and then my Sara fell into my arms.....gone. It's been over 3 1/2 years yet it feels like it was today. We let butterflies go at Sara's memorial. Two years after her death I was at a meeting and looked out the window and there was a white butterfly, just fluttering in one place then it was gone. I cry everyday and I can't wait for my butterfly. Sara was only 28. I had her with me for 28 years of beauty and tears too. I guess I should feel grateful but Sara wasn't alone when she died. My heart went with her. Each day I wonder how I'm going to get through the day. All I want is to go to her. Sara is and forever will be my heart, my baby, my soul. It's very hard to get through each day and I know it is to be that way until we meet again. The pain of losing a child is like no other pain. It doesn't lessen with time, the tears don't stop, and the love goes on forever.

This is so beautiful . I dedicated it to my granddaughter Sheila who was our oldest grandchild . She turned 16 on Nov. 5th 2020 and died unexpectedly on Dec 29th 2020. She graduated high school at 15 and was starting collage when she turned 17. Planning to be a child therapist to help children deal with things in thier live like she did. Her heart was as open as a swinging door never closed. So smart so beautiful and so giving and kind. There will never be another like her.
