Hi, your bike is beautiful. I have been watching your videos for a while. The atmosphere is excellent and relaxing. I am living in Istanbul and I want to move to the Netherlands. I am also riding a motorcycle in Istanbul. I wonder which rules are different in these two countries. Could you explain? Is it legal to change the exhaust? Are car drivers respectful of motorcyclists and what is the attitude of police towards motorcyclists? Is there a problem with using a motorcycle due to weather conditions? Please you can add more info if you want :)
Hey there! Thanks for the kind words. I really appreciate that! It is indeed legal to change the exhaust, although only within a certain threshold. Don't remove any part of an exhaust, like a dB killer, to make the bike louder. I have to say that police are generally unlikely to pull you over for a being a bit too loud only. But if they do pull you over for anything else, they will check the exhaust too. But they don't tend to pull a motorcyclist over very quickly. Car drivers are very respectful of motorcyclists in general. They accept that we fit between two cars in a traffic jam. Winter usually consists of rain and colder temperatures, but actual snow is something that is only for a few days up to a week at most. Be mindful that they use salt to unfreeze roads and salt is not good for your bike. I don't plan on riding in those conditions. Something like a big touring bike should do better than my bike though.
