I lived in Juso, Osaka for 5 years and used Hankyu train almost everyday to go to my university. This video makes me smile and remember my life in my Japan!!
@@catsbyondrepair Well, either I'm hallucinating the entire thing or you're calling me a liar, which I don't appreciate. My university, Webster University, has an exchange agreement with Kansai University. You can look it up. I and a number of other foreign students were all studying there from 2006-2007. It happened.
So happy to see this, my wife comes from Osaka and for the first time in 15 years we are unable to travel home for Christmas. This is now on my bucket list to do the moment we can travel to Japan again.
Japanese gardens whether Zen or other types are always beautiful, calming and usually very organic. The gardens that have a water feature or bamboo chimes are some of my favorites. Thank you for yet another quiet look at Japan.
Japan, you have a great civilization. Please keep it going- make babies and don’t allow your population to die off! The world needs a vibrant and growing Japan!
I live in Osaka and use Hankyu every day :) This special train doesn’t stop at the neatest station from my home, but sometimes I ride😂 And the sweet potato apple pie is soooo good so if you come to Osaka, try it!❤️
I've never seen window facing seats like that on a train. Well, maybe on those expensive sleeper tourists trains... the one's with a grand car just for observing outside and cost hundreds of dollars for a broom closet. But to see those seats on a regular day-to-day train is so nice. Japan definitely has traveling around the country down pat, even if you just take a regular train. I wouldn't be surprised if next you showed a normal commuter bus that has a koi pond and waterfall inside.
japanese are out of this world. beautiful minds. the most civilized.a great nation lovers.the bravest souls.selfless angels.joyful. innovators.and no wonder prosperity just follows them.envy their efforts.wish we had one fourth of their noble qualities.a great country unto itself. love from india
@@englishatheart Animal rights? The west is the strange one here with their obsession with animals. Not sure what's wrong with Japan's animal rights. Their welfare is fine. For comparison, the US's homelessness rate is drastically higher than Japan. Japan's col is very low.

I love the way you make the video without any narration. That really makes me feel like I am travelling in Japan, not watching someone else's travel. I used to live in Japan (for 5 years) so I really love and miss the country. Please make more videos like this. Thank you!
I miss my yearly traveling to japan . Best country for holiday in the world , love the culture , peoples , foods , cleanliness and so safe for foreigners .
Some people think its just the tourist areas, but no, the neighborhoods are mostly just as clean. There is inevitable decay and grime, but not large amounts of it, and most definitely never trash.
My sister was there on a month long all expense paid cultural trip with pocket money. She said even the smallest streets in the neighborhood were clean. I've been to Japan twice but, not to the Kansai Region.
WoW! What a stunning train... Thank You for sharing the experience, I hope one day to visit Japan and experience the culture and food, and the beauty of your country.
Having had the great pleasure and good fortune to visit Japan I can testify to the sheer brilliance of their public transport system. I worked on British railways for several years and the contrast between our rotten and unreliable offering and Japan’s version blew my mind. Here I was, battling day in and day out with disgruntled commuters, broken down freight trains, late running inter-city and local trains, whilst in Japan, which has double our population, everything was a delight to use, operated by conscientious and efficient staff. This is what happens when the citizens of a country have a good work ethic and a government that creates a system that works for the good of its people. The fact that the Japanese use their public transport system because it works so well has the knock on effect of keeping the roads clear and pleasant, even in a vast megalopolis like Tokyo. Even though most will hate to hear it, I’m afraid our country and it’s services are utter rubbish in comparison.
This train is so beautiful! I visited Tokyo and some cities around it two years ago. Next time i want to visit Kyoto and I'll try to use this train. Thanks a lot! I hope we can all travel again soon
I love Hankyu so much because they offer such a beautiful service without any extra money. Although it is sad that this service is cancelled because of the coronavirus. I wish this service to go back to normal asap.
I ❤love this beautiful garden 🪴 train video! I never know there’s garden train till I see your video. I’m so happy 😀 to watch such creative pretty train. Thank u for sharing with us.
They cleaned up their seats and the sounding areas after the World Cup football games that they attended. Everyone else thinks this is someone else's job.
I loved taking the Hankyu trains in the Osaka/Kyoto area. I even took it from Itami airport into Osaka (the airport info counter staff informed me that basically " nobody does that" as it takes about 25 minutes on foot to reach the station. Well, I'm "special", I guess 😁). I was flying in on the ANA turboprop from Oita after staying in Beppu and had only small luggage.
What a lovely train. I love how the zen garden is not plexi-glassed up to prevent people from littering or disturbing the display. I miss Japan and the respect the culture has for public places and personal space. I'm happy to have found your channel as riding the trains are my favorite. I would stay up and just watch the landscape when many would fall asleep. There is something so special about Japan's rail ecosystem from the stations, food offerings, and the smooth ride. Take care and stay well. 😁
Very nice video. The train’s craftsmanship is beautiful! Also, I truly enjoy seeing and hearing other passengers enjoying the fabulous transpiration vehicles you share with us around the world!
If one day i happen to win the lottery, many millions, i swear i'd just spend my life on trains exploring them all. Especially in Japan. You guys have such high standards, seeing all these clean stations, the schedule always on time, the unique designs...it is SO satisfying to watch. I adore this. And btw, you looked all sweet resting like that....on your bench. Great vidéo! In the meantime, i can't do anything about this dream of mine, so i just watch content like yours and there's a bit of sadness, loneliness but also gratefulness for people like you who are sharing their journeys for us.
I haven’t seen those old fashioned rings hanging by straps from the ceiling since I was a kid in NY (1960’s-70’s). They referred to people who couldn’t find a seat as “straphangers”.
Those are pretty common on Japanese trains and subways still. As a side note, if you see modified import cars with a ring hanging underneath, it’s one of those train rings.
Thank you for sharing your train rides. I never knew about the beautiful and unusual trains that you have shared. It makes me want to make a return trip to Japan. Thanks again!
Your country is beautiful. So clean and well maintained and the people seem so polite and well dressed, wonderful culture. I would love to visit or live there one day. I am so pleased the Olympics begin tonight finally. I look forward to them being a great success for you.
That train is so beautiful! I enjoy your videos immensely, but this train is a class of its own. I really need to visit Japan again, just to ride all those beautiful and impressive trains. And not to forget the food.
So lovely and amazing. Thank you for sharing this and all your other amazing travels with the world. It is fascinating and, in this time a lot of folks are shut in, makes us feel not so sad and gives us a little holiday for our eyes, our minds and hearts. Thank you again, Kuga. You are blessing people more than you know.
Just when you thought Hankyu trains couldn't be more relaxing and prettier, than they have this! For those who never took Hankyu line trains: they are unique maroon-coloured trains that run in Kansai area. I took one to get to Arashiyama bamboo forest. Their regular trains are unique in a way that they are probably the most fancily decorated interior with old fashioned but elegant colouring, patterned floor, and wooden paneling.
