This is the MOST ACCURATE version to date. Only things that are missing are enchanted rooms & monkeys, cuz in original tale, monkeys & parrots (parrot is included here) were dressed as servants & they helped Belle around. Everything else sticks to the original to slightest details. BRAVOOOOO!
I had this movie on tape as a kid.....my mother had recorded it off TV one night on to VHS for me along with a bunch of older animated stories- I had watched that home made tape so many times as a kid that I actually wore out the tape, lol. I've actually looked a fair few places for quite some time now to try and find this exact version that I remembered so well form my childhood but until now I'd had absolutely no success and a bunch of frustrated dead ends so thank you for posting this it truly made my day finding it today I'd never figured that anyone here on RU-vid would have it or post it because of its age and rarity but low and behold here it is thank you very much.
OMG I HAVE LOOKING FOR THIS VERSION FOR YEEEEEARS! THANK YOU! I'M RIDICULOUSLY HAPPY RIGHT NOW! I was born after this came out but my parents had it on vhs.... A few years ago my mother got rid of a bunch of our vhs tapes and the one disappeared with them 😫 I was so sad. I even asked my Facebook followers to help me find it years ago and only 2 commented that knew which version I was talking about but couldn't find it either. I'm so happy right now!
@@lavenderflowersfall280 lol ikr! A couple people said they knew what I was talking about but they could t find it either. When I found this one I posted it like "HEY I FOUND IT" 😅
You remember this? Beauty and the beast is one of my favorite fairy tales. I saw this on hbo at age four 36 years ago and introduced me to the story. I also saw the 1976 version with George c Scott on tv at age five 35 years ago even saw the cbs series with my mom from 87 to 90 which is the one with Ron Perlman and Linda Hamilton then at age seven I saw the anime version on Nickelodeon then saw 1991’s version in theaters 3 times at age nine even on a field trip from here in Belen to Albuquerque and the 1946 movie at 12 being the first foreign movie that wasn’t dubbed but subbed
Beauty: Everything’s going to be fine Father... you’ll see! (Lighting strikes down to the house) Also, the Beast in this one looks like Chewbacca in drag!

@@RetroMediaFinds This movie with the 1976 George C Scott version were my intros to this legendary story and i also remember when i was 5 to 8 watching the CBS series with on Perlman and Linda Hamilton with mom then at age 7 i saw on Special Delivery on Nick being the anime version then at age 9 i saw the Disney movie 3 times in theaters and i rented the 1946 movie at age 12 after hearing about it in movie books and magazines. Quite a fascinating story
and voice directed by Howard Morris, who did tons of Hanna-Barbera voices through the 60s and 70s, but best known as Ernest T. Bass from THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW
1 OF MY FAVORITE PARTS IS WHEN THE BROTHERS THREATEN THE BEAST AT THE GATES AND THE BLACK CLOUDS THAT FORM ABOVE THEM 1ST MORPH INTO GLOWING YELLOW EYES + THEN THE BEAST'S FACE! IT'S REALLY CREEPY! ESPECIALLY WHEN THE MOUTH + TEETH GROW 4 TIMES BIGGER THAN THE EYES + THE EYES ZAP THE BROTHERS. + ALSO THE PART WHERE THE FACE DISAPPEARS IS AWESOME TOO!
Ironically, a number of the TV specials that were produced by Ruby-Spears(Miss Switch, The Magic Flute, Jirimpimbira) happen to be part of Disney's library. Keep in mind, Joe Ruby and Ken Spears had a working relationship with Disney, at one time!!!
This was too marvelous for me to watch as it's still new to thank you for the movie by the way beauty is really gorgeous with her golden heart 🤩🤩🤩🤩😍😍💝💝💝
No, Beauty and the Beast was written a long, long time ago, and was public domain. There are lots of animated and live action film adaptations of this story out there, not just the Disney one.
