This has got to be one of my top 3 pieces of Alan Menken's works (if not my absolute favourite). You did wonderful and I can't wait to see what you do next.

Alan Menken , my great mentor , like James Horner ! Epic composers ! Both ! Great scene , from a Disney masterpiece ! Death and ressurection ! That was a miracle performance Mark ! Love so much '' Beauty and the beast'' ! The third picardy note at the end my favourite ! A major chord to a minor scale , always a favourite choice ! That is my childhood !

Funny Story 😅😅I started learning how to play the French Horn 2 months but then I suffered from Vertigo for 2 weeks and for some reason I suspected the French Horn as the Causer. I stopped practicing completely after I got better but after listening to this piece, I think I'll give it another Go.

Look at 02:34 -- 03：05 & 03:35 -- 04:12. See how Alan magically use the wind. These are my favorite parts. He plays a music trick there, right? I love it because it was acually my musical idea come true in his music. The use of the French horn. Yeah! I even share the same instrumental idea with the composer in this part. Interesting.

@@Marc_Papeghin Yes, I heard this piece when I was still a teenage girl and I was so charmed by all the melodies and all the instruments. Alan`s melodies are always so sweet and lively and inspiring. BTW., I love your 圆号和小号 very much.

Wish I could answer you but the fact is I've been playing the same horn for 25 years and haven't tried a lot of other models so I don't really have an opinion on the question ^^ You should ask it in the Facebook "Horn People" group, there you will definitely get some answers :)
