@@AbbeyYungAbby can you please help me? You said in a video you thought the Dyson blow dryer made your hair look worse. Is there a blow dryer (other than the Re-whatever that’s $1000 lol) that you recommend? My budget is $400. Please respond I’ll appreciate it so much.
Anyone else wondering how people go through so much stuff?! I feel like I hardly go through anything even without having new products to test all the time🤣🥲
That’s also what I thought until one year I decided to keep all my beauty trash and by the end of the year I had a full bag of stuff. And I’m one of those people who doesn’t apply serums and creams every evening cause I work late and sometimes Im just too tired 😂
Same! I think influencers use product very generously since most of its given to them and they’re not paying for it like the average consumer. Which makes sense to me. Plus I don’t think they actually use ALL of it. It would be impossible with the mounds of product they have.
Definitely. I have overstock on body products, and well… everything really. 🤦♀️ A couple years ago I started using body stuff very generously, and I have yet to make a dent in my stash. I use skincare generously too, but it still pokes up, and I don’t feel like I buy that frequently. With free gifts with purchase, sometimes it just adds up. I can’t imagine how much product popular influencers get. And yes, I don’t think they are truly 100% empty either.
I'm wondering if you can use too much bond repair? How many bond products are too much once your hair has reached health again? I use all that you use in rotation : Espres, K18, Redken acidic bonding, Dove Bond Strength, Loreal Ever Pure bond repair, Pureology Strength, Amika Kure...etc... I use them all except the Living Proof. I don't use K18 every time anymore but still, my question remains, can you overdo the bond repair products? And if so, what are the signs of overusing bond repair products? Thank you, truly. I have learned so much from your wealth of knowledge. My hair is soft, healthy and long. :)
I wonder the same! I appreciate anyone's input, as I find it rare that Abbey answers her viewer's questions. No shade whatsoever. Just an honest observation.
@@AbbeyYungthank you so much for bringing that up. I went through awful withdrawals about two months ago. I couldn't even get out of bed and I'm so glad when people talk about it. It feels validating.
Talking about anxiety. I suggest you to buy a good quality punching bag. People underestimate the benefits of punching (using violence) but we need to let it out physically sometimes which we logically can't do in a civilized society. However, punching is extremely therapeutic and calming so it does help people who suffers from constant anxiety. Even psychologists are recommending it well at least mine that I had when I was a teen (31 now). My mom bought me one back then and installed in my room. It ended up she was also sometimes using it 😉
I got to take a real kickboxing class when my son was a baby, we used bags for punching & kicking, learned proper moves, etc - it prob saved my mental health! Six months in, we got a new teacher & it became jazzercize with “air” punches and kicks thrown in. I haven’t found another “real” class, and the circuit boxing gym is not for me, but the baby is starting as a teacher in August and I’ve kept the gloves because that was such an incredible experience. Great exercise for the body but also for the mind! Wonderful way to release emotion & feel like a badass. ❤
Great idea. I used to have one of those blow-up clowns that I'd punch when I needed to let out some frustration. Kept me from wanting to spank my kids or punch out my colleagues 🥊 I also had a mini version on my desk at work 😂
Just wanted to let you know that I personally would wait for your new videos no matter how long break you need! Always informative and pleasant to watch!

Obviously not Abbey, but each Epres bottle (mixed with water in their newer spray bottle) lasts me for 2 washes - my hair is fine textured, but I have a lot of it and it falls between my shoulder blades in length. This amount of Epres “soaks” my hair, but doesn’t leave it dripping, which is what the directions say (I think that’s right?). Would love to know if I could use less, just always anxious I haven’t used enough!! 😊
@@brittanyfletcher434 my hair is just a little shorter than abbeys and I get two proper uses out of the bottle and one semi proper. I don't saturate it fully but I am more concentrated on using it on my ends and lengths and I started adding the ogx oil after 10 - 20 minutes and that has been an absolute game changer! I once tried the whole bottle on my hair (since I had no idea in how to use it properly) but I am getting as close as the same results using only a third of the bottle :)
@josie4987 thank you for the reply, that’s helpful! I’ll try using only a 1/3-ish when I next wash my hair, I definitely have always tended to overuse products 😊
I suffer from extreme anxiety and panic attacks. I increase the dose of my anxiety medication. I got windrawal symptoms when started the first antidepressants I took but know take a different that works better for me. Love your videos 💗
I purchased the Skin Smart mist earlier this year on your recommendation, and then didn't really use it because I just sort of forgot to. And then {spooky organ music} summer arrived. Oh my gosh I'm so thankful you rec'd it and that I had the foresight (sorta) to buy it because with all of outdoors here being like a big sweaty armpit, that mist has been super helpful in keeping my face from being one big zit. Thank you! Wishing you a survivable season and no more brain zaps.
could you please link the sunscreen (I don't see it in the description box?)? I exclusively use 2nd gen filters only sunscreens so def want to try it out!
Abbey, could you test Olay products. One of my favourite products from them is Collagen and Peptide 24 serum not the cream and the body washes are really good too. To my opinion but I would like your opinion about the ingredients. I think the ingredients are good but I don’t have as much knowledge as you.
So, I finally got the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Brrakout serum, and omg where has this been all my life?? I don't know why I didn't buy it sooner. I use several products you recommend in my skincare routine every day (Vanicream, Ordinary Copper Peptides, Timeless Vit C, Beauty of Joeson SPF) so its not like I dont trust your opinion. Anyway, thanks again for a great recommendation. Also, going through med withdrawal is no joke. I'm sorry it made you feel so crappy. I hope you're better soon and happier and healthier than ever!
Can I ask when you use the hypochlorous acid mist? I bought it based on your recommendation, but I haven’t been using it because I don’t know when to. Thanks!
Not Abbey, but I use this immediately after I cleanse, before applying serums / moisturizer. I also use it if I’ve worked out / gotten sweaty but can’t shower or wash my face right away. In that case i just spray it on on top of whatever I’ve got on and i feel like it prevents breakouts. I also use it on fresh piercings and it helps SO much.
Did you refrigerate your prequel vit c? I've been using timeless for years and find it needs to be refrigerated to last longer. I am curious to try prequel.
The elf power grip primer is raved about for a reason too incase you really like the milk makeup one.. they work just as good if not sometimes slightly better depends on each individual
Have you reviewed any XMONDO products? I hope I haven't missed it! If you haven't, could you please? Obviously only the products that might work for your gorgeous hair.
Thanks for. the heads up on the L’Oréal conditioner. I bought that on your recommendation and love it so much. I’d be livid if I thought it was discontinued. 😂
Geek & Gorgeous C-Glow is a great Vit C have you tried it? Beauty of Joseon revive eye serum is really great, and I can use it even though my eyes are sensitive also love the sunscreen's!!!. Peach & Lily copper peptide is amazing it does have a lower copper percentage, but it has sooooo many more peptides and it does not smell as bad.
So curious, how do you spray tan your hands in your feet?? I’ve been trying and trying, and mine always gets streaky! Would really embrace your input on this❤
I can sympathize with coming off of a medication like that...I went cold turkey off of Effexor 15 yrs ago when I lost my health insurance and I had bad vertigo for over a month.
Hello Abbey🙋🏼♀️ king of bleached blondes Zach Mesquit swears by Wella Professionals Ultimate Repair Miracle Hair Rescue, any chance you could give it a try🙏🏻
Thank you for an empties video!! I love knowing your opinion on the product after using an entire bottle. I'm so interested in the Prequel brand, but I have enough product in my closet right now. Maybe by November sales......😜 Again, I love and appreciate all your hard work. Trying all these products can not be fabulous for your skin. The risk of irritation and sensitivity is high. Would love a video of favorite products in each category both high end and drugstore and comparison to each other. Have you tried the Heroin Mascara Remover? Made by Kissme, a J-beauty brand?? It is wonderful for waterproof mascara and eye liner!! So glad you are feeling better!!! Many blessings!!!
Abbey, thank uuuuuu❤ I will paste a comment i already did to other channel short video appeared suddenly about shmpoo bars😒, this comment i wrote today because of u❤, u made me realize and discover the stupid lie that most of earth started to believe, until our hair got damaged : this is my comment 👇🏻 "B4 i was believing in bars and chemicals free shampoos, now i realised that the old shampoos are the healthy ones for hair for several reasons : 1. "healthy shampoos" cost campanies lots of millions than normal shampoo, to make researches, and this may involve animals cruelty 2. This may need additional ingredients consumptions 3. Many companies will appear to satisfy people, so many plastics and other materials to make containers 4.Not all ingredients may suit all people's scalp and hair, so more products must appear 5. We can see majority are suffering from breakafe and dandruff and frizz hair as we don't use sulfate and silicon, which they are not as we imagined they are harmful Simply majority fell under such scamic information just to let other fool companies to appear to we buy more and more, it's not for earth and animals sake Im done i knew the truth and enough messing with that game and my money and my hair" Thank u dear Abbey, ur videos helped me 💋💋💋💋💋
Neutrogena's fragrances in their skincare has always been disappointing to me. They are so unnecessary and, often, strong., After trying many vitamin C products with and without ascorbic acid, I've gone back to Maelove Glow Maker and feel it is the most effective on my skin.
The effexor withdrawals hit like nothing else. I quit cold turkey bc I had a psychiatrist who wouldn't refill my prescription and it was one of the worst days of my life
I am in awe of you going cold turkey! I would love to get off Effexor (highest dosage) but I am too petrified to try If I miss 1 day and I feel so sick
Hi! Hope you don’t mind me commenting, but I work in health care and also happen to take the highest dose of Effexor for MDD. Only wanted to mention that if you do come off it, taper slowly down on it with a provider, but I would ask why you want to? I understand when people want to come off antidepressant meds for situational depression or if they’ve only ever had 1 depressive episode, but for example, in my case, I have MDD, which is a chronic neurotransmitter dysregulation disorder, and I’ll basically always need to be on meds 😊 I also would always promote antidepressants over anyone relying on something like benzodiazepines. You know what’s best for you, I just worry that many people think being on meds is inherently “bad”, when sometimes, you just need them! Mental health disorders are really no different than, say, cardiovascular disorders, there’s just unfortunately still a lot of public stigma 😊
@@brittanyfletcher434 Thank you for commenting. I totally understand that there is a stigma and there shouldn't be. I also agree with everything that you said 👍 I just honestly don't know if I actually need to be on it or not. For me, it was basically one situation (15 yrs ago) I thought if I didn't tell myself to take a breath than I wouldn't and I would die. This lasted for days. I couldn't sleep because of the fear of not breathing. The ER Dr. diagnosed a panic attack and was put on Effexor . I have had 3 bouts of depression. 1 episode before Effexor and 2 bouts after. I do have a new provider that said if I want to try to come off she would work with me.. Who knows maybe I really do need them.
@@dawnroy8551 I'm not proud of it at all lol. It was an unfortunate circumstance that I had to go through would not recommend. It does I think give me a lot more empathy for people who are dealing with substance addiction. It isn't just that not being able to take that substance and have the perceived benefit from it that's hard. It's that getting off a lot of substances literally feels like you might die and everything in your body is desperately asking for you to keep taking that substance even if mentally you know the best thing for you is to no longer take that substance.
@@brittanyfletcher434 totally agree with you that there's this ridiculous stigma that being on meds is bad and not being on meds is always good and when in doubt it's always better to not be on meds. I'm bipolar ii and I've just accepted that pretty much the rest of my life I'm going to need to be on some medication for it if not multiple. I do think though there are some legitimate reasons you might not want to be on a medication perpetually that aren't based in fear mongering. Inevitably when you're taking a medication anytime a problem arises there's going to be the question of whether that might be a side effect from that med. Or if you need a medication for some other problem there's this whole assessment that has to occur to see how it's going to interact with what you're already taking. Or if you're taking something with a particularly short half-life like Effexor It just kind of sucks to have to be so vigilant about making sure you're taking it every single day or your day is going to be a disaster. So I don't disagree that there's this sort of widely accepted myth that meds are "bad" and not being on it is "good" But I also think there are legitimate inconveniences that come with being on a medication long-term that I wouldn't necessarily fault someone for seeing if they can get off of it if they feel like their symptoms are managed and maybe they've done the work with CBT to feel like they have a better grip on their symptoms even without meds.
I love the L'Oréal bond strengthening concentrate. I used to love the matching shampoo and conditioner, but they seem to have changed their formula. The new one now smells very floral, made my scalp itch like crazy, and caused hives. I tried the Garnier bond line and it did the same thing. I'm now using and loving Divi shampoo & conditioner and so far so good.
Love how brave you are to talk and focus on your mental health. We need to keep breaking the stigma over it. So, way to go, woman! Hope you keep getting over your meds and getting stronger. ❤❤ Love your hair and hair recommendations. Here for them. Yes, to a yesstyle haul, please. Love them too. ❤ keep being you. Love that you are perfectly imperfect 😊. Don't change that. It is definitely endearing. ❤
Would love to try the skincare subscription but because of being trans know doctors understand what to do with our hormones 😅skincare included so frustrating! Regardless absolutely love your videos though ❤
Regarding the prequel vitamin c- I’ve heard promising studies on ergothioneine topically and also internally( as a supplement) I’m going to try this vitamin c after I finish the timeless brand.
Love your brutal honesty, the comments about your tapering of medications cracked me up. I can sooooo relate, lol! You’re a beauty by the way and hats off in the content you share, very objective and credible. Well done!
I've never used micellar water to take off makeup.I only use it as a last step after my double cleanse. my favorite is the simple brand period I get it at j max for 4 bucks.
Abbey, I have a question for you. Is having glazed donut skin like Hailey Bieber says is it good? Also, are peptides good if you can’t tolerate retinol and certain not tretinoin? If it is good for your skin how do you get that? Because it’s hard.
Thank you for this video! It gives such good suggestions. Any update on the tubing mascara show down? I’m very interested in hearing your thoughts on these.
Hi Abby, I would love your opinion on what is less damaging. Round brush with hair drier or hair drier then straightener. Assuming both are being done properly. I have fine thin colored hair that is prone to damage. Thanks
Question: Is there a reason you use living proof each time you wash over other bond repair products? Also, it would be awesome if you did a video about how we can spot products that are called bond repair but really aren’t.
When do you use your copper peptide? I want to try them, but I use Tretinoin nightly and use a glycolic acid face wash so I am a little reluctant to try them.
Do you not think Apostrophe is enough to use on its own without having to splurge out on expensive skincare products? Like when you want to prevent anti aging in years to come. Would then using products for your skin type be enough to prevent all those from hap?
