i was born from ph and i don't put makeup much, most of the time i only put baby powder all over my face and a little bit of lipgloss~ any filipina here?
I used baby powder and even pure corn starch as my face powder back in the eighties when I was in high school. I had the oiliest skin and still do today. I think it also helped me to not have a lot of acne. I just started baking. Will have to give baby powder a go again.
Yup. And baby powder is part of my daily make up routine. Im very sensitive to most of the foundation and pressed powder. That is why I use baby powder. It also lessened the chance of having acne breakdown.
JustDreamsOf-- I don't know why there is so much negativity in these comments, but I give you credit for putting up a channel and getting over 33,000 viewers. As I was reading some of these comments I could just feel the jealousy, like making fun of a face you made while blending your powder- I make fun I the faces I make while putting on my make up everyday- like I cannot put on mascara without having my mouth wide open lol. Anyway, I replied below to a user who was bashing the beauty/celebrity industry which has nothing to do with this video at all. I don't normally get involved with confrontations on social media or comment on videos, however I felt like I had to here. You are BEAUTIFUL! You look NOTHING like this William person these people are talking about! Your eye make up is on point (blending is great)! You have NO trace of a black eye! and the exact opposite of whatever these haters are talking about. I would challenge any of the users below who had a negative comment to try and make a video and put yourself out there as this beauty has here....
Thank you love! I unfortunately have become numb to the hate. It's a sad world lol but honestly I can't put my energy on it. I'm so happy there's people like you who lift others up
Maaaaaaan!!! This is so old school. I remember being about 6 and watching all my aunts steal my baby brother's powder. I realised quickly powder wasn't just for babies and baby bottoms. lol
I always use baby powder for "baking". I didn't know it was a hack. LOL Also I don't understand why people act like it's a new thing. Setting the foundation with powder is a standart thing since forever.
I like you! So real! I've used baby powder for years in my makeup hacks. Try this: after applying your lipstick, give it a second to set then take a thin piece of tissue and press gently on your lips and dust them with baby powder! Oh yes! It is a standard makeup procedure for me - I love it! Especially on red lips.
When I was still wearing make-up to go out, I used baby powder to set the make-up and make it look less dark (I am extremely pale) as well. Baby powder also works great for absorbing sweat. Plus, it smells nice. :)
samah nory same thought here! I was like why she cannot just put the hair behind her ears and put it back later when she finish applying the powder? Her hacks and her make up is Kool, but the hair make me feel so annoying when watching this, and I was like let pause the video and go thru all comments below if anyone got same annoyance like me! And saw your comment! Lol
Omg how funny. I used baby powder for the first time today and didn't use my airspun. I had the same thought you did. I like it better too. 😉 Edit: I'm also blonde, and last night I tried the baby powder in my hair as a dry shampoo trick for the first time too.
I know I'm late to the party but I've recently started using baby powder for setting under my eyes.. It works so well. I'm fairly dark skinned so I have to blend well afterwards but it works soooo well...
It's a fab old MUA old trick. Sets foundation, matifies skin, and highlights the face. And you can apply deveral cothes /times to eyelashes to give that 60's vibe. Great vídeo.
i'm medium skin toned and this worked for me. my skin looked so smooth and flawless, and not at all cakey like some setting powders; not sure about skin care and safety but it works!
I only use baby powder on my face like everyday ( and apply it most of the time hahaha😂). And it is too normal for us Filipinas🇵🇭 hearing us saying "do you have any powder? who has powder?" (Bes pahingi ng pulbos. Yung johnsons na white lang ha) 😂😂. Then a little lipstick and we're done. hahaha😂
Both very old-school tricks that I used to do but have long since abandoned for more exciting makeup products! Going to try them again - Thank you for a cool video!
opening the top and pouring it into a jar for the baby powder makes it easier to apply with a brush or fluffy pad. I myself have used baby powder for setting for years.
You lost me with the hair in your face. The whole time I just desperately want to reach through the screen and tuck those hanging strands away! If you want people to pay attention to your makeup tips then let your face be the focus& put your hair back.
I reckon the safest baby powder to use for the baking technique is the Johnson corn starch baby powder b/c at the back of the other baby powder bottles, it actually says to keep it away from the mouth, nose and eyes.
The baby powder set as good if not better than setting powders. She compared them . Said it worked good and really pore less . I notice a difference. It was more a video showing make up hacks I believe? ! Set and brightened under eye. Brought out the contour . Baby powder is less expensive ?!
I think celeb industry is being used to dumb down society. Why else do most news pages now have sidebars we can't avoid on every news story, to get easily influenced gullible people to care about what over hyped talentless half wits are doing. They turn ex-manufactured band members who can't sing solo, or reality show contestants into style icons, because it involves no more skill than wearing clothes, except they're less stylish than everybody else I've ever seen, as have orange skin, obvious fake chest they like showing off, scouse brows, plastered on make-up. Or half a news page had Kardashian naked, and then they said she broke the internet, when nobody wanted to see her naked anyway. Can't even walk into a newsagents without being confronted by rows of magazines full of thick orange people, with their dumb made up stories. Before their promoters make up a new career for attention, like business person for putting their name on a perfume somebody else made, or fashion designer for drawing a picture of a dress, and then getting somebody to make it who has worked in and studied the industry. Then the gullible brainwashed army of people say they must be great if rich, from there being so many gullible brainwashed people to care about types who are worse than most people.
why are you on a beauty channel then? some of us "sheep" like to look nice while we go out to get "brainwashed" I am sure there is some vegan, anti-everything, liberal page that you should be ranting on about us orange, scouse browed (did you mean scarce?) fake chested people. Chances are most people on these beauty pages are like myself and use make-up and fashion as an artistic outlet and put make-up on because we feel empowered and put together. Not everyone wants to go braless in a long skirt and sandals with a back pack everyday... rant over. oh one more thing- if you are getting your news from any network or news page you are being influenced by the corporations that own those news outlets.
I hope you see this comment, can you PLEASE do a tutorial on the eyeshadow and lips that you're wearing in this video?? I feel like nobody ever really does pink eyeshadow in tutorials and I LOVE IT you look stunning ❤️❤️❤️
Why go fake if you can have a good effect with natural eyelashes? Please, educate yourself of how they made fake eyelashes and what IT really Do to your eyes. Most of glue contain hurtfull chimic content that can cause real dammage to your eyes. And remember : Fake mean use something that we dont really need. I am sad to see the "drag Queen" look become so commun and getting bigger and bigger... A natural mascara should be enough. Please for the environment, dont use anything that you need to trow away AT the END of the Day. IT lack of respect for the futures generation. Think long term instead ;)
YES !! LOVE , LOVE, LOVE this hack both for face & lashes !! & I don't think anybodies symmetrical lol . When I contour I'm not getting the definition I want do you think I need to go darker ? I'm kinda scared to ,I'm really light complected any suggestion??? THANK YOU !!
So I just tried this and I can honestly say I have never ever put my foundation on without it looking patch and dry. Now it looks flawless and because I have a lupus"malar" rash I never been able to completely cover it unless I use a lot of foundation. I absolutely lov that I only needed a few drops and it's a complete beautiful cover. Thanks so much
Wow so interesting, and it seemed to work, I will try for sure . I've used baby powder in my hair to give it more volume, never thought of using it this way. Thanks so much for sharing.
In the Philippines, people use baby powder a lot because we tend to sweat cause of the weather so when teens get oily they start using it, boys and girls do to keep them smelling good and it goes on until when women have babies, so it is used non stop. You can also put it on lipstick so it doesn't easily erase. Same steps lipstick - powder - lipstick...
If you wish to use the powder method for the lashes, make sure you clean off the wand after you're done and before you reapply to avoid thickening the mascara formula inside the tube. It will eventually make your mascara flake because it gets thick. I usually use my regular face powder for that. Another tip is using eyelid primer. I buy the ELF $1 primer for my lashes when I want to thicken them if I don't want to use an eyelash primer. Usually the falling of the eyeshadows i on your lashes which is unavoidable. Most of us get eyeshadow on your lashes no matter how great the shadow formula is, and it helps with building the length and volume of your lashes. Just don't forget to wipe off the wand so you don't ruin your mascara.
Louise Nah lol, lots of things are bad but whatever. I just remember hearing something about baby powder in particular but we're all gonna die eventually anyway so wtf. :)
shut the hell up no one is forcing you to reply to everyones comments they arent doing it for you if she didnt want people to comment on her stuff she would close the comments
***** Relax Satan, I was merely conveying some information that may be considered helpful to people who aren't quite so defensive. You might want to take your 'attack mode' attitude down a notch there sunshine.
I love the baby powder trick, I've been using it for a while now. It's better than any other powder I've tried and it never settles into lines or wrinkles!!! Never tried it on my lashes before but it seems like it would be a good alternative if you you were in a pinch for time and didn't have any false lashes or you're horrible at putting them on like me!
Julie Day my comment makes no sense says the person who commented "you sad peice air user go find a life as you want and drag queen" 😂 idk why I'm still commenting months later I guess bc I'm petty w no chill
it's fun, and you can't deny makeup can alter your face quite a bit. We like how it ends up looking and we like improving our skills. I don't see why we constantly have to justify makeup.
it s a fake look. when you use it beyond recognition, it sooo fake. once I rented a place to a girl, when she first came she wore a make up, i said ok, you can move in. second time she came without make up and carrying baskets full of things. I was wondering what this girl was doing at my doorstep with basket in her hands....no idea this was the same girl. she was beyond recognition. so i d say, one of the uses of make up is DISGUISE lol
woah lmao chill.. some girls use makeup cause its therapeutic or relaxing and its clearly a form of art and expressing themselves. dont hate them cause you aint them
Thank you for your video. Can I suggest to change your mascara? My lashes are very similar to mine and I was struggling to get them thicker and longer for years. I started apply coconut organic oil at night and they seemed actually growing and more defined, as I use waterproof mascara every day and lashes sometimes can fall off easier from waterproof mascaras. If you like well defined lashes I would advice Max factor false lash effect as it works well on my short, not too thick lashes wonders after the curler. Use baby powder on lashes seems to messy to me. Hope that helps:)
You are beautiful and your makeup is flawless . Wonderful eyes also. What kind of eyeshadow did you used to created this gorgeous makeup? I try to find a burgundy ( wine color eyeshadow but I never find it). Can you please tell me the brand? Kisses from Holland
Hi, i just wanna say that you can totally use baby powder on your face. I always put it on my face and its not toxic at all. It just says to not put it near your eyes because it can irritate your eyes. But i can assure you that you can totally put it on your face. I always put it on my face it doesnt irritate my face at all and I have a very sensitive skin.
Something I saw on Pinterest was how to get black eyeliner to stay on the bottom lid and you use baby powder to set it and then you use black eye shadow instead of black eyeliner. I battle to keep black eyeliner on my eyes throughout the day. Actually my makeup look good for 2 hours and then afterwards I look 10 years older.
This is super interesting & I would love to try the baby powder - but I would like to know what you did on your face PRIOR to the baby powder - it would help to see step by step. Thanks - oh, and is there a tutorial for this eyeshadow look you have in this video????
I loved your video. I haven't read any of the comments and will not because people tend to be so mean but hey girl I though it was great. Please continue to make these.
You look beautiful and I like the use of baby powder for finishing powder and mascara hack! I will try them both and I also Love your eyeshadow, you look ethereal!!!
