I trust this woman with my life 🙈😂, discovered her recently, I’ve been using her range of products for Oily prone skin for 6 weeks already. As I have a busy lifestyle forgot to track and document my skin but still stick to the routine as recommended, but recently I started getting compliments from a few people of how good my skin is looking. I remember with the first compliment I was at work and run to the toilet to check my face in the mirror 😂. I’m very grateful 🙏🏾 of what she does for our skin of colour community

Great to see you review these! As a man of colour I’ve shifted my skin care to nearly all BOJ products even my gf has noticed a big difference! BOJ seem to have a focus on gentle n consistent use to get results. I’ve just bought the vita c centella light on serum.. looking forward to that

I love this brand. I love their probiotics sunscreen. Perhaps the only sunscreen I don't mind using and reapplying everyday. Their deep glow serum is amazing too. It has rice extracts, Niacinamide and 2% alpha arbutin which leaves your skin with a brilliant glow.

This brand is my Holy Grail! I keep going back to their dynasty cream, glow deep serum, and cleansing oil. I have extremely sensitive skin and it broke out with the glow serum, I have always wondered why, and now I know the answer. Hello Dr, I would like to let you know that BOJ Sun Relief & Probiotics is not a sunburn relief cream it’s a chemical sunscreen PA 50++++ and it is now my absolute favourite face sunscreen still - 4 tubes later. It feels just like a moisturiser & with my very sensitive skin I can use it around my eyes with no irritation. I am Latina with dry skin and mild rosacea. I loved the BoJ rice relief sunscreen and did not like the moist sun serum. Alpha arbutin serum was great too for hyperpigmentation.

I’ve been following her religious for years now - but I’ve come to realise that ever since she started releasing products, a lot of her content is pushing them whilst contradicting previous recommendations. I’d love to use her products but the price range is crazy (for India especially)! So I’m now forced to skimp through these videos, to exact moments and skip all her line of products reccos.

I noticed the same thing. Also, I saw a video where she says min spf 50 for POC but then in the next video she is pushing live tinted spf which is just spf 20 (but is owned by an Indian American influencer turned entrepreneur), so now I don’t know!!!

A lot of her opinions on skincare ingredients are contradictory. I used to follow her in 2020 and found a lot of fear mongering. She has a video on non-comedogenic moisturizers for SOC where she claimed there the Cerave moisturizer is non comedogenic but when I looked through the inci list several of the ingredients that she’s claims are comedogenic not recommended for SOC were in the moisturizer!

I think she tries to provide as many options as possible even if she doesn’t agree with every ingredient in a product. Of course she prefers her own products over others if I made products I would think mine is the best too 😂. Skincare is very individual base. Get the information you need. Experiment with products then find what works for you. 😊 you don’t have to follow everything a person suggest.

In your latest reel on hair care do’s and dont’s you recommended 2% rosemary oil from the brand Mielle… However in its INKI it does have many other oils including mentha, castor, eucalyptus, to name a few.. If Essentials oils are skin sensiters then how safe is this product for scalp treatement?

Finding your channel made me realize that I need to start looking at my skin in its entirety rather than just one aspect (talking about being a brown skinned individual but using products that don’t really help for my skintone) I’ve been using the beauty of joseon’s gingseng water ever since april of this year and felt that it has done wonders for me and was wondering if i could incorporate the eye serum as well. This is one of my favourite brands, I have used pretty much every product. My faves are the red bean mask, sunscreen, deep glow serum, propolis serum, dynasty cream and the sheet masks. I find that they are very good quality and never cause irritation to my skin.

im not dr.V, but using a 15% azelaic acid on my skin irritated my skin and I had to take a break. I have sensitive skin and everyone's skin is different, but what works best for me is using azelaic acid every 2 days instead of every day.

BoJ eye cream is 0.2% retinaldehyde. I use it on my forehead and neck since they can't tolerate the 0.05% tretinoin I use on the rest of my face.

Hi doctor, I have itchy skins after winters in February 2023 and it is still there. It itches and due to lot of itching there are scratches or round spots. Some doc said its mites but I thought it’s dryness. Palms itches some night or hand or legs some night. The itching leaves dandruff like small white powder on skin. Hi! (Your underarm issue)..I'm not an expert on skincare, but I was using the solid deodorant (white stick) and that was happening to me, I switched to a clear gel one. It took awhile (few months), but the darkness disappeared. Just a suggestion. 😊

Hi Dr V..thank you for all your skincare advice..i started using products siggested by you within my budgets and have notuce such an improvement with my skin..i have 3 auto immune illnesses and 1 of them is Sjogrens syndrome..it dehydrates the skin..affects my eyes and mouth..my face often is inflammed..i am using The Ordinary ramge of products and CeraVe moisturing cream and Sunscreen Sun relief by Beauty of Joseon..even my beauty therapist says my skin has improved so much..now all i need is some product to help with my extra dark under circles..i cannot afford your kit as yet..but im also not sure if its wise to use any strong products around my eyes since they are so sensitive..any advise on cheaper products thats in South Africa that you can recommend to help lighten my very dark under eyes
