Kaise Mendeleev’s Periodic Table ka idea janm leta hai? Iske peechhe ki kahani kya hai? Mendeleev’s Periodic Table me Sanskrit ka kya connection raha hai? आयुष यादव नामक बालक 2019 में IIT गुवाहाटी से ग्रैजुएट हुआ. जैसे-तैसे हो गया समझो. उसके बाद इसने दी लल्लनटॉप के साथ लेख जोतना शुरू किया. संपादक सौरभ द्विवेदी की दया, करूणा और असीम प्रेम ने आयुष को लल्लनटॉप का साइंस एडिटर बना दिया. भाई का अपना एक वीकली शो आता था. साइंसकारी. उसमें ये साइंस समझाता पाया जाता था. फिर आयुष ने अपना चैनल शुरू कर लिया, और ये यहां साइंस समझाने लगा. इसके अलावा आयुष ने कुछ खास नहीं उखाड़ा. अभी जोतने में लगा है. जब टाइम आएगा तो कलेबा करके उखाड़ने पहुंच जाएगा.
आयुष एक नंबर का घुमक्कड़, इंट्रोवर्ट और निर्लज्ज प्राणी है. इसको कुछ भी सीखने में बहुत आनंद आता है. लेकिन याद्दाश्त का कच्चा है बेचारा. सो दूसरों को पढ़ाकर सीखा हुआ समेटने की कोशिश करता रहता है.

I don't think that is the reason. The Nobel Prize was instituted only around 1901 or so -much later and there would have been the usual politics against Russia and Russians. We find this bias against people like George Gamow and others too.

You remind me of my great Gurudev Brajraj sir. He told us all the stories in 10th which you elaborated here. He never forced us to learn periodic table but to understand. Currently I'm completed MSc in physics in nuclear and particle physics and I can assure your last statement that it is for reference as in nuclear physics, there are more than 6000 thousands nuclei. Not possible to learn all of them. There is periodic table in nuclear physics too. This periodic table of chemistry has merely 118 elements. I'm disappointed by the NCERTs moves of removing.

ये गलत है। जब व्यक्ति किसी प्रकार के ज्ञान को बिना संदर्भ ग्रहण करता है तब मिथ्या ज्ञान/विज्ञान उपजता है। इसकी सही और पूर्ण वाक्य सरंचना है "अहम् ब्रह्मासमि तत् त्वं असि" यानि मैं ब्रह्म हूं और वही तुम हो। अतः कृपा करके वैदिक साहित्य को आधार बनाकर अपना उल्लू सीधा ना करें। 🙏

As a Chemistry teacher, this was a very useful information. Periodic table should never be memorized as it is entirely based on patterns and logic. If you understand the pattern of arranging elements in groups and periods, you will never need to memorize the table. Thank you for providing this.

Very good. First time, I saw such a good video on science. When I encountered periodic table way back in 1969, as a 13 year old 9th class student in Ramjas School, Daryaganj, I saw the periodic table exactly in the same way as you explain - it is made not to remember but to understand chemical elements in a systemic way. Nature is never random; there is an inherent order always, which we must try to discover and appreciate its beauty. The most beautiful sentence of your highly interesting talk was - the periodic table has been made to convert the random /unfathomable noise of chemistry, into rhythmic music. Your talk is indeed full of such wonderful sentences - like, "this periodic table is not for cramming up. It is like an index". And yes, keeping some cells vacant, was a leap of imagination, which only geniuses have. Very good!

chemistry is one of the most logical subject . Many students complain about its exception but we need to understand that exception is the basis of the universe nothing in this vast universe is free of exception . Periodic table represents this beauty, I think omitting periodic table as whole is wrong , if u study the periodic table as it was intended then you would find that it helps us to develop logic and reasoning skills. but sadly instead of understanding it students mugg it up. I partially blame the teachers for this because they do not teach the subject the way it should be taught..

noo you are saying this because you haven't studied chemistry in higher classes... like in math you can't say don't learn table, squares, formulas just remember the pattern & derive them always similarly in chemistry you should learn at. no. ,wt. , symbols, should have an idea of position of elements nobles gases .. otherwise 🙄for understanding you may learn 118+ elements one by one & don't learn periodic table....🤷

I think the Periodic Table works as the basic and systematic reference idea, from where one can proceed towards the scientific understanding of the material world.... In the similar or better manner the Theory of Evolution does in understanding the relationship of the Human Being with Nature (the living and non-living material world). Both the ideas or the system of ideas are explosive and crucial in nature in predicting Change in the living and non-living material world. This is just unacceptable to those who believe in the concept of Constant or Unchangeable world......

All the periodic table haters tell that they had to memorize using various mnemonics. As a student, I never learned it like this. The basis of the periodic table is the number of electrons in different cells and calculating it is very easy. At the age of 44, I can tell which element is at which location and I am nowhere related to academics or chemicals. Periodic table is necessary and must have been taught at 9th class. One must not be surprised if someone tried to memorize log tables by heart 😂

Yes, periodic tables must be understood, not memorized. Mnemonic method is a very wrong method and not applicable in this context.

यार, आपने तो हमारे पाठाशालाके दीन (१९६३-७१) याद दिलाये! I distinctly remember we or atleast I as a student never felt boring but interesting. अर्थात उस समयके शिक्षक का यह योगदान है! You are doing great job... As teacher. Will certainly follow your clips as student.
