I just want to answer a few questions I've been getting! 1. Is Beauty Pie Cruelty Free? Yes, they are and most of their products are vegan as well! (See #6 in this blog post on their site here: www.beautypie.com/us/blog/posts/six-reasons-why) 2. Why should we have to pay a monthly (or yearly fee)? Basically, Beauty Pie is like a Costco membership where you pay an annual fee in order to get access to the lower prices. I don't think they would be able to charge so little for high-end quality/packaging and still make money without the membership fee. But it works out in your favor if you think you'll buy a lot of products per year (or if you'll be buying skincare which is the best deal, IMO). But if you are on a low-buy or don't think you'll spend a lot, then I don't think this will be a great deal for you. 3. If you have to pay a membership fee, then it seems like you aren't really getting the products for less, right? I think it's still an awesome deal...I'm on the annual plan which works out to $5 a month. Let's say I buy the Retinol serum which is $15...when you add the $5, I'm getting a high-end retinol serum for $20 which is still a GREAT deal. Especially when Olay is over $30 at the drugstore these days and most high-end retinol serums are $60+.
You should switch to Beauty Pie Plus! They should have sent you an email with link. It’s $60 per year for $3600 of spending allowance which is a really awesome deal.
Thank you so much! This is so helpful. Please do more of these. Plus one on their skincare favs of yours would be fantastic! Gonna wait till I go back to school in September. But definitely gonna try them. Awesome job Jen as usual. Have a great day!! 😻😻
i’m definitely going to have to join whenever i get home from the hospital. thank you for being so honest. i’d love to see a video of your favorite skin care products.
I am so glad that you covered this, Jen. I had been thinking about a membership, but I was not really sure it was worth it. I really value your opinion, so knowing that you found it a good value and found items you really liked, I think I will be joining. Thank you.
Ohhhhh I did not know that Marcia Kilgore founded Beauty Pie!!! I have loved her since the early days of Bliss spas in NYC. I am thinking about the annual membership - their products look amazing!
I’m a big fan of Beauty Pie and have almost converted all my skin care to Beauty Pie. I’d love to see an update skin care video. I also love BP videos in general to see what others are enjoying. I just recently bought the tanning drops and love it. No streaks, no need to blend it in with lotion and it gives a natural color to the skin. It doesn’t give you a drastic tan which is why I like it. It’s just a natural healthy look.
Oh, darn. I think you might have “influenced” me! 😂 This company looks so great. Thanks for sharing the dupes and your honest experience re: all of it, Jen.
Thank you for another great dupes video!! I definitely want to try Beauty Pie out as soon as I have the money to do so!! Please do an updated skincare video if you have new recommendations
Thank you for introducing me to Beauty Pie. I got the annual membership and bought about 12 items. Loved 9 of them which is amazing for me as I'm sensitive and picky. The lip oil is lovely and the eye crayon doesn't budge or wash away with water eyes. I'm really loving my affordable haul.
I have been a member since early 2018. I do the $1500/12 month membership for $79. The products I buy most are skincare, hair/body products and candles, but the brushes are also great. Makeup is my least bought category, although the highlights for me are the shadow sticks and the nail polish. Great value, highly recommend.
Thanks for explaining about Beauty Pie, I see the products that you talk about, and they look amazing for a low cost. I will definitely check them out to see which plan will be better for me.
I joined Beauty Pie after seeing one of your videos last year and I’ve been SO impressed with everything I’ve tried! I’m so happy about the annual membership, now it’s an even better deal! Love your videos Jen! ❤️
I had asked for this video so thank you, Jen, for your quick response! Now I’ve got some new products to try. One that I really like is the body moisturizing creme. It has a slight citrus fragrance and is very silky/smooth and absorbs into the skin. Again, thanks!!!
Thank you Jen for sharing BeautyPie. I had not heard of them before and have already placed an order and bought my membership. You have opened my eyes about high end brands!
Jen you were actually one of the first channels I subscribe to and that was after my back surgery in 2017 and I have been a faithful lover of your channel ever cents. I’m just so happy today that you said to leave a comment when you invited people to subscribe because in the four years I’ve never heard you ask that and I think you well deserve it! I just want to thank you for your channel and all that you do you’ve saved me big bucks as much as I love high end once I was forced to retire after my second surgery and then I had a third August 25 of 2020 I had to retire. I’ll be 62 next month and I’m thinking as my birthday gift to me I may subscribe to the $59 subscription I could never justify the $10 a month and I’m pretty make up out because I don’t have a channel and I’m only one of me but I got so into you I started buying everything you suggested, lol. Not your fault you never said spend my money but I have lots to last me long time and I love everything that I’ve bought and that you’ve suggested I think once I go through the last of my skin care I may do the beauty pie subscriptions so I’d love to see the skin care video and yes sometimes I go back and rewatch videos I’ve watched of years so again thank you for all you do I greatly appreciate it have a blessed day
I would love to see the skin care. I’m going to join today. I may have missed it but do you have a discount code. I plan to join the yearly plan. I’m so glad you told us what you aren’t fond of. That’s very helpful.
New Subscriber. I've been a Beauty Pie member for nearly a year in the UK. I've been so impressed and can't imagine buying retail again. Skincare products are a huge winner. I am in my 50s, going through menopause and suffering all the dry skin age has to offer. I used BP's consulting services (Complimentary) and they really helped me compile products that truly help. Your makeup review is smashing! I don't wear a lot of makeup and often only on special occasions, but a woman still wants great makeup! ;)
Thank you so much for subscribing! I am in perimenopause so I am also having the driest skin of my life so far. It's awful! I didn't even realize BP had that service...that's nice to know! I think all of their skincare that I've tried so far has been amazing!
Hello hello! Love to watch ur stuff so very much! Planning to do a switch to Beauty Pie soon! OMG...so excited about ALL of these lovely goodies!! Beautiful things ❤️
Thank you for explaining it. I definitely understand it better now. I'm not sure when I'll be getting a membership because honestly I have too much makeup now. I'm disabled and don't get out a lot but watching beauty u tube is what got me through the pandemic (well it was what I started last year). But now from the boxes I tried for the 3 to 6 months and all the products that I've bought online because they're perfect for me...I have so much that isn't getting used. The other problem is that I ended up with long covid and it's caused even more problems with my ability to get out of my house and do much, besides Dr's appointments. So I have too much now that I should use before I get more but I'll probably end up looking at this and joining sometime before long. It at least keeps my mood up and my depression at bay so I consider it a plus. I know it's not a fabulous one but I'll take them where I can get them these days! 😁🫂💗🌸🌺 Take care and big hugs, k
Hi Jen, I rarely comment, but I am blown away by the high quality of this video, it's beyond HD, you could almost step out of the screen. I also appreciate the dupes mentioned in this video, especially Charlotte Tilbury one, can't wait to give it a go.
In the UK, if you don't buy anything for a month or a few months, all the monthly subscription fees roll over - which means they can be used against higher priced items you wouldn't usually be able to cover. I'd love to see an updated skincare vid, I have dry skin too and I'd be very interested to know which products works the best. Great vid Jen, thank you 💗
Just wondered if you still like the CG anti-aging powder foundation or was it just a powder??? Also...wanted to say I love the sweet, authentic way u deliver ur info and reviews. Feels like sitting with a friend!
Thanks for this lengthy review. I've been holding off on a beauty pie subscription because I like trying so many different products and brands. Also, I'm trying to use up all that I currently have because I don't actually need more make-up at this time. But I'll keep this video for reference if/when I do subscribe. Seeing your skincare favs might help me decide if I want to jump into the Beauty Pie club.
Hi @JenPhelps have watched your videos before and really enjoyed them - why did I not subscribe! Just subscribed so I can see your content more, I love how you provide all the information needed but in an engaging way ❤❤ hi from the UK BTW 😊
So disappointed that Beauty Pie won't ship to Canada! In a world where even the smallest indie brands can ship world wide, even if the shipping cost is a bit high, it is really disappointing that those of us in Canada don't get the opportunity to enjoy these products! Beauty Pie sounds like they are offering some great products! It's a shame the rest of the world can't enjoy them!
Please do an updated skincare from Beauty pie. I just joined with the $59 yearly membership and looking for suggestions since we have same skin type. Thanks 🤗
I’m a member in the UK - interested to see the annual value package - not sure we have that here. I would agree with you - there are some great products but foundations and eyeshadows not so much. If you haven’t tried them yet here are my additional recommends: the Uber Volume Boost Velvet Mascara (all their mascaras are pretty good - the only one I didn’t like was the Massive Fan - found it very dry and brittle), the Superbrow Precision Pencil (not the angled one) in Perfect brown - I use with the Archology Gel in perfect brown. Then 2 lip products - The Shine Up Lip Balm Pencils particularly Pillowy Pink and Sexy Berry, and their Future Lipsticks Luxeshine in Baby Berry, Bruised Berry, and my favourite Mastersweet. Oh and I like the Contour Wand (CT Dupe). Would love to see a Skincare video! Rx
Thanks so much for this video! I also love the lip oils, and thank you for pointing out the Carmine issue! I am definitely going to check into the mascara after seeing how great it looked on you! I have been leery of the makeup side of Beauty Pie, but I LOVE their skincare and that is where most of my spend goes to!
I subscribed. I have had a Beauty Pie membership for 8 months and sometimes I have no idea what to order. I have had good luck with most of their products but thanks for sharing your favorites.
The Beauty Pie (in the little mirrored compact) concealer reminds me more of the Bobbi Brown color corrector. Anyone else? I also wonder if it’s like the Charlotte Tilbury color corrector. I don’t have her concealer in the little compact so I can’t compare the formula but wonder if the ingredient are similar…
Hi Jen, i'm a BP member and i found this video absolutely on point. I live in UK and the tinted moisturiser is hydrating, nice coverage and gives your skin a nice glow.. i'm going to order the lip oil right this minute as i've been on the fence. Yes please to the skin products, i LOVE Them and very interested in your opinion. Great video, you are such a lovely lady and i never miss your videos. Thank you for being you 🥰
Thank you so much Nicola! 🥰🥰🥰 I really hope they release the tinted moisturizer here! I think you'll really love the lip oil...they are such a beautiful and unique texture. :)
Just to double check- is the *next to the Beauty Pie sign up link in the description an affiliate or just there to make it noticeable? I hope it's affiliate so you get something for your work so if it's not I'll hold off on signing up until you get an affiliate or code. Thank you for sharing the products you didn't like instead of just sharing the ones you do, whenever I see videos like that especially for subscription stuff I instantly an skeptical because every single brand has something that's just meh to a majority of people so hearing what to spend on and what to hold off on is perfect and speaks highly to your authentic genuine reviews and recommendations. I have never once bought something you suggested and not loved it (hello Joah Truly Yours Concealer is my fave you ever recommended since I've been watching from the first video). I'm soon to be 35 with neutral skin type but can be dry looking in spots (right between my eyebrows is the worst) so I gravitate towards dry to neutral skin type formulas plus I'm so fair that the fairest shade in most things is 2 shades too dark so I really appreciate your reviews. I've been interested in the Beauty Pie makeup since you first mentioned it but I don't buy stuff monthly (more of a save and mass buy during sales throughout the year, for years now I go on a no buy after my birthday early Sept until Black Friday/holiday sales) plus I'm pretty much set on my skincare regarding finding the perfect products for me so it wasn't worth it for me but knowing there's a $59 annual fee with no limit is perfect, that's less than the monthly beauty subscription I have for the last 3 years and thinking of dumping because it's become more skincare than makeup the last 2 years. You're the best Jen, thank you!
Aw that's amazing that you love the Joah concealer too...I've purchased it like 5 times, haha! And I agree, Beauty Pie is less than something like Ipsy or Boxycharm and you can choose any products you want, when you want, so it's way more versatile. Also yes, the * means affiliate link. :)
Jen just blew high-end brand outta the water 👏👏👏, and gave some wonderful product recommendations 😍😍😍, I need that brow gel, I have the same problem with brow products, trying to find the right tone and shade to suit my brows, that Raspberry blush is absolutely gorgeous 😍😍😍, all these products look amazing 😍😍😍, great video Jen, I appreciate you always trying to help us save so.e coin 🪙 🥰🥰🥰, yes please skin care!!!
Just checked out the site; the memberships are monthly $15/mo (only monthly option), 3 month minimum, or $59 annually. I can totally understand these days, simplifying is a good idea...
