Belle is being held captive and Beast says "this is her home now". A home is supposed to be a place you like, find comfort, etc. She's stating reasons why this ISN'T her home.
This song adds SO much to the emotion of the moment. Such a shame they left it, and all the other songs from the musical out of the remake. I can understand wanting to put in new works, but there's no harm in keeping a few old good ones too!
This song fits my exact situation now, I recently just moved to Illinois with family and at first I thought everything was great, until I went back home for vacation, it reminded me that my heart and home is in Florida now I'm stuck, this song really brings a tear to my eye now, I just miss home so much. 💕😢

We had a Disney concert today for my school and the girl who performed this just..... I couldn't even speak it was beautiful the emotion, her voice everything was just perfect 🥹🥹🥹🌹🌹✋
Our drama teacher is thinking about doing Beauty and the Beast next year and I will be a senior. Belle is my favorite Disney princess, so I'm practicing early so I can get to be her!!!
I remember listening to a Disney Princess songs CD growing up and this song was among them. I remember not recognizing it as a song from the movie, but my sister did mention this being a Beauty and the Beast song so I just accepted it as an extra song. It wasn't until years later that I figured out it was from the Broadway version.

I auditioned for beauty and the beast and they cast me as the beast. I went to a really shit all girls school who didn’t partner with a boys school for musicals and the musicals were so low budget and horrible. I wanted a role so I did it anyway. I could sing better than probably everyone there and had a higher range for belle but yeah I was big and most of the school were Vietnamese so yeah I stood out a lot. Pretty depressing times.

I did this I got a narrator as my role. We did three shows and we had a show on Saturday before spring break. Most kids were eight graders. Not a lot of them will see each other again

I hate when I do spelling errors, I'm the same way. If I see would see this on anyone else's video I would comment and be like "You spelled something wrong." Eh, sorry. I really didn't mean to do that, I usually double check but lately I haven't been. The toll is paying its price.

i've just watched this play three nights in a row and last night was the final and i could basically sing and talk along with the actors who i know because they were all in my school....
im not planning on doing this show...yet..but i'm not a belter would it be ok if i sang most of this in my head voice? i have a powerful mix sounding head voice without mix but yea...ive never had training so idk

I don't remember the song ever having that line. The reason I know this song was cause I had it on cassette when I was a kid in the 90s (I was born the same year Beauty and the Beast came out.) But I don't recall that in the cassette version.
