Very Promising Formula, Just Need More Time to Be Sure
As a professional skincare writer for nearly 15 years, I have incredibly high standards for nighttime serums. I’ve been using full-strength tretinoin (Retin A) for nearly a decade, so I use a trio of serums on alternating nights to support collagen production.
The Althaea Skin Night Serum has a lotion consistency and absorbs immediately when applied to dry skin. I used this immediately after cleansing (no toner, no other serum) to judge how active the formula was. After a few weeks of use, I noticed that my nighttime moisture needs were reduced (no need for a facial oil on top of moisturizer) and the serum also made my skin look more even in the morning.
Closing Thoughts: If I had to choose between and Day and Night Serum, this one would be my preference simply because my mature skin really likes the ingredient combination, and I feel my skin benefits more from these rejuvenating actives. 5 stars
