HELLO, This one was in bushes or maybe in woods, because there are more trees than bushes. The canal was not so long, so it drained quite fast. 👕 If you want to support my channel check out my new Merch store: bit.ly/Kenislovas
Hi from the UK Mantas - nice to see you using the pickaxe to get the flow started, you should use it more often. Remember 'deep and wide' to discourage them to rebuild there. Stay safe and keep at them.
Many people seem to like the pickaxe, but I would expect the mud to be too soft. It’s fun to watch you doing this clean up work. Keep the water moving. And have fun with the different tools.
Beautiful job. Was that rain or did it start snowing at the end. Stay warm. I bet those trees that were helping you keep balanced won't be there long. Your videos make me happy. 😉🌟🌟👍👍😊😊😃
Adding to a previous comment from Alan Collick, use the pickaxe to go as deep as you can, then use the potato rake to remove the loose material left over . Go all the way to the bed of the canal to remove the dam's foundation. Go a layer at a time if necessary. This will make it more difficult for the beavers to rebuild.
Just a suggestion, you should always start pulling from the farthest side from where you walked in, then work your way back. It's like a strand of hair in a knot, you never start at thr root, only the ends.
This is some very impressive dam demolition, the water level was very high but because of the great work that you have done, the problem has now been taken care of. This is a very interesting and informative video which illustrates the need to keep these things in check. If the damming was allowed to continue it could seriously effect the amount of farmland that can be used for the growing of crops, for this work that you do the community are very grateful.
Hey either from California I find it very satisfying to watch you destroy the beaver dams great content thank you for that keep it up may the good Lord take a liking to you
That water temperature is about 15 degrees Fahrenheit and -9 degrees Celsius not to mention how swift and how much pressure that water is and has. Also, keep in mind it is easy to get stuck in that cold nasty mud. His wandered do not protect from the cold they just keep him dry.
That's a good point. Hopefully he's wearing a thermal layer(s) under the waders, and not just denim jeans. It's hard to figure out what to wear when you need to insulate but you're also doing something that's hard work and makes you hot.
