Hello,
The water pressure was really strong. Actually I was a bit afraid If this canal can handle the amount of released water. This dam holds a lot of water. I must come back within few days to check, what's going on there :)

Wow that was a lot of water sitting behind that dam. You can see a lot of sediment moving behind the dam which is good. It will take some time to drain since it's coming from 2 other channels. Great work, looking forward to the next. I would like to see some drone videos posted to your Instagram page of the landscape, they are always great to watch here but maybe a little longer video there would be nice, thanks and best to you and the family.

That looks like several years of beaver hours and natural accumulation to creat such a large dam. You did well to remove as much as you did and it will be interesting to see how quickly the beavers try and repair it.

It has to be very wide as well as deep. A narrow, deep breach will be fixed overnight or in a day. A very wide and deep breach will take them a few more days to fix up tight again.

I see comments that ask what he gets paid per dam... ZERO...NOTHING! He gets zilch! And he won't make much money on RU-vid until he gets to be a bigger, more popular channel. BUT if you want to help out and be supportive, there's a new option called "thanks" with a heart and $ sign under the video. Donate a dollar or two! They'll add up quick! We all know the price of gas is ridiculous, and this stuff takes a TON of his time! I wish I knew his first name rather than calling him "he" and "his"! lol Happy Mother's Day to All!

That is an impressive dam, and it is amazing how much water can be held back. Although beavers dams are a nuisance, one has to respect the beavers 'construction talents and tenacity'. Would a garden hoe be better to remove the mud, as the potato rake is not the most efficient tool for moving mud ?

Another great piece of work, it should really make a difference to the flow and surrounding ecosystems. The only thing I would be slightly concerned with is with the volume of water being released all at once and if there are culverts or channels downstream that might not be able to handle that about of water all at once. I would release the water a bit slower just in case but still great to watch

Очень узкий канал для воды. Бобры восстановят эту брешь за сутки. А ветки, из которых сделана плотина, разве не надо на берег выкидывать? Они не будут мешать свободному проходу воды в трубах и там, где поток не будет таким мощным?

That is the exact opposite of what we should be doing to improve the environment. There are projects all over the world mimicking beaver dams and releasing beavers back into the wild. The water table is restored and in a few years there is more water going downstream than before the dams. Where are you getting your authority to remove these wetlands.
@rollotomassi7437

Better get a backhoe in there and take out the entire dam or the Beavers will replace that gap in 3 days. They are the greatest engineers on earth and opening a small opening on the end is Childs play for bucky.

With the flow of large amounts of water, the level never receded hardly at all in half an hr. You would have needed an excavator to remove the water in one day. The fields really need freed from water logging and the tractors never left deep ruts which normally happens when beavers do their mischief.
