Looks pretty good. Just has to hold up against whatever flows down into it. 🙂

Exactly. This is why it's recommended that the exclusion fence is checked several times per year to ensure any debris that gets stuck against the fence is cleared away. This is much less time consuming than clearing a plugged culvert.

You are badly underestimating the intelligence of beavers. They will have a mud and stick dam built around that thing in no time at all.

Hi there, thanks for your comment. Although beavers are incredibly intelligent, the unique trapezoidal shape of the exclusion fence is highly successful with a 95% success rate when installed in an appropriate location (not every site is ideal for exclusion fencing). The shape allows the sticks/debris/mud that beavers place on the fencing, to be washed to the side of the culvert exclusion fence. Regular maintenance (1-2 times per year) is required to ensure the debris isn't building up along the sides. Those are hideous, there’s got to be a better way. Also why trap and kill beaver, why not do the humane thing and use live traps and relocate those beavers. Imagine driving up to a cabin in this pristine setting and seeing that wire monstrosity. Can’t that be built on a smaller scale and camouflaged in some way, that took me all of 30 seconds to think of that solution. Yes there’s got to be a better way.

I don't think you watched all the way through. The cage is meant to discourage them from building, not kill them.

The size is also to make it more difficult for them to build. Please watch your content thoroughly before giving a poorly educated opinion.
