Just hit 10k! Just a quick post to say thank you to everyone who has watched, commented, liked (you're pretty cool) and disliked (fartknockers). "The angle of the dangle is adversely proportional to the heat of the beat". 🤘🏻
Thank you for noticing 🙂. It took a while to figure out. You might also like this, a project I was involved in 🤣 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SnCG2LNU4cA.html
Excellent, I have always loved the rollicking piano to this theme- well, the 17 or so seconds of it I would actually hear on the show Fun cover to listen to!
Lol. This is spot on and perfect. Excellent job. I'm just laughing at how repetitive and simple it is. It's basically just the same kinda rif just rearrange the notes a little bit. Sounds bluesy and cool.
Damn, I play the piano pretty casually and this pretty next level. That super fast key switching is not easy especially to make it sound that clean, even that key slide is smooth, like every note is in the same place every time you play it. Shit's dope, hope you keep it up! :)
Thanks so much for your comment 🙏🏻. I also play casually, self-taught and can't really read music. I figured this out by ear as I couldn't find anything else to reference. I'm sure there's a few technique issues and it's not quite 100% accurate in places. I found the slides the most difficult part, landing on that low A consistently, especially the long slide in the second half, I would have maybe improved it in hindsight. My own worst critic 😂. Thanks again for the comment and recognizing the tricky parts. Really appreciate it 😎.
Please please PLEASE make a video breaking this down and give us a lesson/tutorial you bluesy funky muh fuhka! Nobody else has what you got or a video playing this song and you nailed it perfectly!
Hey! Thanks for the comment and compliment. Made me laugh 😂, need "bluesy funky muh fuhka" etched on my gravestone 😂😎. I kinda did this because no one else had, which surprises me... and cos I wanted to since high school. Not sure about a tutorial though, I just figured it out by ear. It's basically just rolling around the A pentatonic scale (I think). The fast key switching is just a roll off a black note onto what would be the chord, so the main notes would be E and A, but roll off the Eb on to the E. I don't have proper trained technique, so I have my thumb waiting on the E and hit the Eb with index finger just before. I find it sounded cleaner and easier than sliding my thumb off the Eb to E - if that makes sense. The slides I always tried to land on the low A. Took a few attempts to get it consistent. Stick with it. Slow the vid down to .75 and just figure a section at a time, that's how I generally learn everything, I'm no pro! Hope that helps, if there's anything you're not sure of give me a shout. Thanks again for the compliments 🤘
@@md405 It does thank you so much! You're awesome! Definitely deserving of the grave stone etch! That was funny 😂 Is that the sheet music for this song on piano? I can't read sheet music, but if that is, I'm sure people who can read it would absolutely love and appreciate a link to it!
@@DocM. Nah, I can't read sheet music either... It was just on the piano for show. It's actually Eve of the War from War of the Worlds 🤣👽. A few people have asked about the sheet music. I might get someone to help me transcribe it one day... Thanks again! Happy Christmas! 🤘
@@md405 You're welcome, Merry Christmas to you too!!! ❤️ Ain't been too long since first comment, but there STILL ain't another person that got shit on you playing this completely and so damn good! Pretty disappointing all the big name youtube piano lesson channels can't even come close to the basic bare bones of this song. A testament to you for sure!!! 😁🤘 I'll be sure to send people from those videos your way! Waaaaaay above your abilities so dont feel obligated to unload and get into it, but do you got any quick tips for people who can't play both hands together well? Really want to be decently proficient in Boogie Woogie and Blues! Just getting that left hand Boogie Woogie going is a bitch on its own!!! 😂
@@DocM. Hey. Think it's been on a year or so now? Yeh I'm surprised no one copied and did it better by now 🤣 To be honest, I'm pretty dogshit with my left hand (I'm right handed). I play a lot of The Doors stuff quite well. Always wanted to get into Lounge/Jazz piano but I can't get my head around playing chords properly in the left. Told you I'm no pro. Pro at winging it maybe 🤔 Not much of a tip, but I think you just have to get the left going and almost forget about it. Treat it as a metronome, or a drum or something. I'll figure the left and right separately in 4 or 8 bar sections and then put them together, then move when they're good. Sometimes even very small sections of a few notes if I'm really struggling to get them going together. I haven't really watched too much of his stuff but Christian Fuchs (huh huh) uploads really easy to follow tutorials and he has lots of Boogie Woogie on there, so maybe check him out if you haven't already, youtube.com/@ChristianFuchsBlues It doesn't need to be complicated to sound good! The 10,000 times rule (I might've made that up), keep repeating it over and over until it sticks. If you're hands are tired, leave it and come back later or tomorrow and you'll probably do it first time... Other than that, we're in the same boat my friend. I literally have no idea 🤣. Thanks again for the praise 🙏 and spreading the word. I didn't do it for likes really; though I am secretly happy I got there before anyone else 😂.
Thanks so much 😎🙏. Honestly, I can't read music. I figured it out by listening to it over and over. A couple of people have asked so I'm working on getting it transcribed, but it's taking a while. Sorry! 😕
No sorry! I can't read music 😕. I figured it out by listening to it over and over. The music on the stand is War of the Worlds - Eve of the War, I can't read that either! A couple of people have asked so will try get it transcribed if I can figure out how. It's mostly rolling around the A blues scale.
Thanks 🙏! Really sorry but I can't read sheet music. I'm not trained or anything 😕. I figured it out by listening to the original over and over. The sheet music on the piano is War of The Worlds - Eve of the War... I can't read that either 🤣. I will try get it transcribed but the whole thing is pretty much rolling around the A blues scale.
@@md405 That's ok, I'm not the best at reading sheet music either. I tend to learn a piece of music by memory and completely ditch the sheet music. I have to look at my hands. Don't worry about it too much, though. This video is done well enough that I can copy your fingers. Keep up the good work, man. Also, thanks for identifying that sheet music on the piano. :)
@@bigginox Thanks again, really appreciate it 😎. I've just always figured things out by ear and then go from memory. I've always understood some theory - scales etc, but never learned to read sheet. I found the key slides the most difficult part of this, and landing on that low A seemed to sound best, to my ear anyway!
@@bigginox Oh thanks 😎🙏. I only really did it cos I'd not seen it done, and as a kid in school we were obsessed with B&B. I used to joke with a friend I'd figure out the piano one day. Currently trying to figure out the really fast part to the intro of the film "Moon". Welcome to Lunar Industries. Don't think that will be uploaded any time soon 🤣
