Props to you for noticing an interviewer that was trying not to be noticed. I almost missed his excellent form because, as always, I am always enthralled with Bebe Neuwirth. I loved her as Lilith, and owing to that, a few years later I went to a performance of Chicago (road company). Wow! Talent and charisma x 10!

I thought the same thing. I was waiting for the interviewer to ask or say something stupid. But he was great. Watching this was a real treat. Bebe is a real class act. I just love her.

I was 9 years old when she first appeared on Cheers, but as I got older and was a teen watching the reruns I totally thought she was gorgeous. I watched Frasier in my 20s and now I'm in my 40s and I still think she's a total babe.

what a stunning artist and warm person she is. We were in the same high school class and were in choir together. She did a lot of acting and dancing in high school, including in the excellent local repertory theater. In high school she played Nurse Ratchett (One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest) and Eulalie Shinn (The Music Man, which I was in too) and much more. Bebe was a star from the start.

I know it's late but she's starring in Caberet right now on Broadway and is AMAZING!! ZERO regrets .aming the splurge to fly out there to see it

Many years ago, I was watching "Cheers" on Channel 4 with my then girlfriend (now my wife of many years). She turned to me and said "You really fancy her, don't you?" I was a bit surprised. "How do you know?" I asked. "Every time she's on, I catch your stare. You're totally smitten." she giggled. She didn't mind. She's always known my tastes; classy, intelligent (almost intellectual), and quite attractive, and able to hold a conversation with good English. I must admit I'm a bit discerning. Bebe Neuwirth is still a major crush for me today

You were my favorite character on Cheers - really! I am now a widow and I started keeping Cheers on all during the night because the laughter was soothing to me when I woke during the night. So I see your episodes at different times all night each night. So glad I ran across this interview. I'm sure I would have loved your stage performances but will never get to the theater - so you will always be Lillith to me :)

Talent upon talent upon talent, 2 Tonys and 2 Emmys , and I know she said she preferred the Broadway stage but she was one of the best comedic sitcom characters of an era definted by them.

As a cashier at a Walmart in the early 1990s, I never expected to have Bebe N. as a customer, but that happened when she was in Kenosha, WI filming "The Paint Job". I am happy to say that she was as lovely and gracious a customer as you would expect, and ever so kind to a starstruck and admiring store clerk. ❤ Just an absolutely lovely person.

So many great characters on Cheers. She more than carried her weight. Remember when she first came on and the apprenhension about adding another character to an already great ensemble, but she was cast perfectly and was excellent in her role.

A lot of performers have a lot of talent or are very good looking. But I feel only a few have "it". I don't know what "it" is. But "it" is what makes you pay all your attention to a particular person on the stage or screen no matter how many others are there to watch.

Not that I "liked" her in her first appearance on Cheers, But she grew on me to the point that I regarded her as the most comedic element. She was superb. And ... apparently still is. I wish her luck.

It's so refreshing to see a performer Not get themselves enhanced or altered artificially. Just let their personality , talent and self care shine as they age. And look! She's real And gorgeous and recognizable AND still working.
