I find it both sad and troubling that there are still so many people (as the host of the radio show) find it strange and even comical, that Fathers and Mothers honor God by raising their children in His Word. BeBe and his siblings had Blessed childhoods, filled with Love of God and Family. A happy home is when God is at the center. I applaud Mom and Pop Winans. They stayed true to their calling and it shows in their now adult children.🙏🙌
I did the same thing my children would get it together so yes there are people who still hold godly values. Today as my children are grown and married we still have a godly home and family.

That’s why the Bible says strait is the gate that leads to life. And a few will find it. The flesh and man’s nature who’ll balk at Gods commandments and that in itself is why man will perish. And what happens is when a human stands on the word then they are called strict. I thought my parents were strict until I got saved and read the Bible for myself and realized that they were simply following the Word.
It gives a representation of how people can make a Christian emperor without God. Not everybody in church is of God and how some people make church a business.
I just love him. The very first male gospel singer's voice that I fell in love with. My wish was to see him and I finally had the opportunity to see him here in Atlanta at the Gospel Fest. Just no voice like his.
Marke, let me make myself clear, there was nothing sad about our childhood. I had 8 brothers, and any of them that wanted to play sports, did. Our home was full of so much love and respect for our parents and each other. None of us have ever been to jail or been on drugs. The baby of the family is now 67, that and others things lets me know that God is good and still in the blessing business. Have a bless day.
Bebe we need that glamour I’m from the same classroom of teaching and makeup is glamorous. The discipline was great teaching and taught us moderation in every area of our lives. I was not allowed to wear makeup or go to movies. I, also was brought up in Holiness. My mother also pushed me and say tonight you not going to church if your room is not clean wow.
I know exactly what he meant about with loving to go to church. That was a way of life in the 60’s and 70’s God was everything. I wanted to be there every time there was a service going on and even when there wasn’t service you could find me in the church. The present of God was always there people was getting healed delivered and set free all the time.
This was a great interview. That was the life we was given, we couldn't do nothing as he said. I appreciate growing up in the church and it has kept me but people today wouldn't stay if churches don't give a little and stop staying the Bible says when a lot is the pastors standards.
Bebe, your growing up sounds so much like mine. My father was a pastor and father to 15 of us. No movies, no makeup, nothing of the outside world. God is good
@Mom Mom. That’s sad. My situation was not like yours at all and we went to Church every Sunday, And functions during the week. But we also played sports, in bands, had parties and wore what we wanted. Our parents were strict but fair (and I’m certainly not saying your parents were not).
I grew up in church like that too, it was like if you sneezed wrong you're going to hell. Everything was a sin. I was miserable!! Once I got a little older I found out a lot of those rules were man made and legalistic.
@@laninaclay6276 how did u find that out ? Because the Bible says the natural man receive not the things of God for they are spiritually discerned. So how did you find out that they were man made or legalistic?
They loved church because they were saved at an early age lol. Most of the time when young ppl don't want to go it's because they haven't come to faith yet

Here is the reality of the situation. Some children grow up and all they can think of is what they were not allowed to do. They do not understand the purpose of the church. Israel was nothing like the gentiles world around them. But Israel also had protections available that the outside world did not. At any time for signs armies could show up and rape the women , kill the children and the men. They didn’t have prophets who could hear from the Lord. And they perished also. But Israel wanted to be like the people they conquered. And that is the only time you will see them taking losses in the Bible. Why would we need make up? Make up is fake . So if women are beautiful why then must they have make up. Anything made up is not real. And all it does is promote insecurity. A real born again child of God is complete. We don’t have to be insecure. But the world does because it does not know the savior. And just like Adam and Eve were insecure so is this world. Because they have not been reconciled with God. But many in the church are so bent on being like the world they will end up like Abraham’s nephew Lot and always need to be rescued because what happens to the sinner happens to them too. Number two. PEOPE are talking about the movies. Ok so when coronavirus came who was going to movies ? Didn’t they shut it down? So then if the movies were something we absolutely had to do why did the people survive without it for that period of time? And also now we are seeing the far reaching agenda of the movies. It’s not for entertainment. It is to program the upcoming generation to think a certain way. What movies can you watch which don’t have filthy language or filthy sex scenes , and more and more including homosexuals and trans. The church is different from the world. And he said if we do not come out from among them then we will also receive her plagues when talking about the world. I don’t have to worry about crime , miss shootings , disease and etc etc taking me out.
