SPOILER WARNING! 6:24 The big Elysia is actually Kevin Killer Mk 666, the one who can erase whole Elysian Realm (thank you to the one who told me in the comments!) I love the absolute plot of all this, you know when sakura says, "this is something history has never seen before"? it means that this was actually the first time all 13 fought alongside each other, and it was also ironically elysia's last wish and the flamechaser's last stand, right before the end of their story. beautiful, isn't it? They're passing on their unfulfilled dreams and desires for a peaceful world without the honkai. But their torch hasn't flickered out just yet "because of you." They keep fighting "because of you." They get to showcase their last battle and their spectacular ending "because of you". CE's humans are still humans, what the 13 heroes had banded together to protect in the first place. The title has ironically so many different meanings it could mean, and most of them make sense, which is so touching and beautiful- it could also be ellie addressing everyone of how much she loves everyone, or also the other way around, everyone addressing elysia that a reason that the flamechasers came so far in protecting humanity was because of her, and her pure and noble intentions. 5:33 I can imagine elysia just saying all of this while fighting, talking to mei and us captains to push forward and reach a happy ending, and they hoped that with this story, they have lighted a new way for the CE, and with them helping the current era for the last time in their last stand off, all while making it a "grand and spectacular" ending to their show. Now it is time for Mei's and our era to step onto the stage that the flamechasers once stood on, carry on their wishes and continue to fight for the same future they once fought so hard for. The stage may be dusty from time, but it still stands for us to perform our journey on, what a solid stage that the FCs has built for us. That is some next level story writing. So many messages, absolute stunning storywriting, and touches the very core of the human heart. The flamechasers all standing together side by side in this animation and helping elysia in defeating HoC was remarkable. It banded them all of them together, for the first and last time, and trusted elysia so much they all handed her their signets , despite ellie being a herrscher, which was one of the prime reasons why MOTH and the flamechasers existed in the first place. I think that says enough about elysia's personality already. She's a pure and noble soul, and dare i say, a perfect human.
Also, the order of people appearing in "code world" have something to do about "Kevin Killer 666". Being swallowed is actually part of Ely's plan (you can see her smile just a frame length, at the face close up before she was swallowed). As showed, HoC "deleted" Elysia's code, but somehow she gained access through a "backdoor". The said backdoor is actually Eden's account, thus why she appeared first. Morbius, the one that implemented the measure, shows up second. For kalpas, idk the reason he came up. Vill-V is the one that made up "Kevin Killer" in the first place, shows up forth. And then Aponia, who merged with Elysian realm herself, shows up fifth. And then after she revived the rest that has been swallowed by HoC, it allows Elysia to use "Kevin Killer 666", with the permission of all 13 "accounts" (signets).
The credits hitting us hard seeing most of the Flamechasers' innocence before Honkai ruined their lives. Sakura being a happy and supportive sister to Rin, Su helping out people as a doctor, Kalpas, despite not seeing his face, is happy and content with those children and is feeling at home, Griseo being supported by Ato and Blanca, then Pardo despite living on the streets still feeding stray cats. It took a harder turn when we saw Eden's final moments and Kevin losing that innocence upon facing that Honkai beast. Then we actually get to see them work together for the first and last time. The animation and song was mostly positive compared to the himeko ptsd in Everlasting Flames and Otto in Thus Spoke Apocalypse. I always think that these people failed to become heroes in the previous era, but this made me realize that they didn't. They just made the road that the current era is right now treading. They never failed. Edit: Also Elysia and Eden very gay, ElyEden for life Edit #2: MG's theory of ER being a DK is more possible now because how can something man made can simulate the power of the 13th Herrscher unless it's being powered by something else (like a herrscher core).
I don't think it took a harder turn- remember Eden saying she was most fulfilled when she was making art for the sake of making art, and not specifically for anything. Her singing to the dying world may have legitimately been the best ending she could have asked for. Kevin, too- maybe that was the time he was most at peace, when all he had to worry about was bonking Honkai beasts with a bat, and not being the hero trying to hold up humanity's last hopes on his shoulders.
Minor spoilers: Elysian realm is made out of psychic power - the original Elysian Realm was made from Aponia's power which was why she was locked up in the Deep End of the Realm. Later on when most of it was corrupted, Su did psychic surgery on Mei's mind and created a mini-Elysian Realm in her head so resurrect Elysia. That's right; Elysia is living rent-free inside Mei's head.
In the first part during the fight before Elysia gets deleted. You can see some TVs with the words "Cogito ergo sum". It means: I think, therefore I am. It's a philosophical proof that having capability of thought is proof of existance. I think it's pretty fitting since Elysia and the others are conscious that can think and feel but can't leave the world of ER. The writers were very aware of this to even bring up the topic by having Elysia ask Mei her honest opinion what she thought about them being Simulations in chapter 29 right before her disappearance. Many captains including myself would likely questioned themselves on ER and if it even matters because it's virtual, the HoC goes on to say things one side may think that it doesn't matter, they are "futureless".
It definitely hurts even more when Sakura said "This has never been seen before, right" that all of them would fight together as she died earlier than everyone else..... Great video, keep up the good work!
Kinda tragic that this is the only time they all technically fought together and its in a timeline they don't belong to anymore but still chose to protect it. Edit: They better give us Hua's MANTIS/flamechaser costume once they add Shadow Knight in ER
Didn't want to make the video too long and draggy, but I ABSOLUTELY ADORED the way they showcased the ending scene, incorporating their 'Peaceful and happy life before becoming Flamechasers'. And obvious from my reaction, I was most emotionally affected by both Kalpas and Griseo's ending scene. Knowing what could have been, and what their life was before ... Thank you for being so brave, for sacrificing yourself to defeat the Honkai.
Something I'd love to point out is that at 5:26 Elysia comes out of a pink lotus flower, which in Hinduism represents Divinity, Purity, and Perfection!
My favorite part is when HoC tries to rewind time again and Elysia just being so bothered just goes "we agreed to move forward" and casually stops the time manipulation
The neat part is, it's because she gained access with "machine code", which is higher priority than high level language than "cpp" which HoC has been using. It's that binary (0s & 1s) that shows up when she was swallowed by HoC. Elysia gained this access, which is a plan that was made and implemented by 5 people that shows up in that code world.
*Spoiler alert* The latest story quest actually explain why the Herrscher in this era is siding with Human and not controlled by the Will of Honkai, becuz Elysia uses her authority to let the Herrscher that will appear/born in the future had a chances/possibility to maintain their human will and not controlled by Honkai, Elysia loves humans, at the very end she still want to helps human to fight against the honkai, all of this explained why Walt(1st HoR) still have the human will and stand with human, same goes to Kiana Bronya and Mei, Elysia couldn’t save the past era, but she save the present era.
That ElyEden scene was so unexpected that I literally sobbed out loud when I saw it which was rare for me because I usually just cry silently. I love them so much, my heart still aches whenever I get to that scene. In terms of animation style, this takes the cake for me as the best hyv have come up yet. The different styles they've incorporated here was eye candy especially when they switched to 90s style anime which I think was genius. In terms of emotional impact definitely in the top 3 for me. I'm undecided between Everlasting Flames, Lament of the Fallen or this one should be the top so I'm putting them all in top tier.
This is the best animation we got until now. It did the 13 flame chasers justice by including all of them and then gave Elysia what she always wanted which was for the 13 flame chasers to finally fight together as a team 🔥 This was absolutely the happiest ending they could ever give to the flame chasers 💯
In reference to 14:47 (and this is just also purely my speculation) By definition, ego is your conscious mind. A part of your identity that you consider your “true” self. It’s something that makes up an individual as a whole. Your beliefs, ideologies and even your appearance tie back to your ego. Elysia has always loved humanity and based off of what we know so far, her ego (true self) would be one that is selfless and loving towards humanity in general. It could be possible that this part of her is so strong that her herrscher persona has totally disregarded the will of the honkai and Elysia successfully created her own “will of the honkai”, one that fights for humanity and that is not motivated to destroy everything in its path. Hence why she’s named the Herrscher of Human. (we also see this in Kiana with her Flamescion awakening) Also, given the fact that she also has two herrscher forms. It could also be that her Herrscher of Origins form stems back to her own origins; one that cares for the people that she loves and one that has a deep love for humanity. Not to mention, the origins of a human being is none other than their ego. I think chapter 31 will heavily focus on how Elysia’s awakening is one that will change how Herrschers will be perceived in the next eras because it’s happened way too many times in the current era where herrschers are defying the Will of the Honkai to fight alongside humanity. This cinematic was released on the same day, when I got the 900th login day rewards. 15 Focused Supply card, and I used a 10 pull for Vill-V stuff for it. Got her weapon, and 2 stigmata within that 10 pull. Now I just need Vill-V herself. xD Anyway the cinematic again high quality. I'm not a crybaby but after 4:25 I didn't seen much for a short time at the first time I watched. XD

a few notes from a native Chinese speaker who has now spent more time out of it than in it (meaning my mandarin is a bit sucky): the og Chinese name of the short is "因你而在的故事“, which when you translate in its entirety is 'stories that exist because of you' or 'because of you, these stories exist'. (因你 is something along the lines of because of you, something that you have caused along that line. 而 can mean a change of state while 在 is kind of a 'here' meaning. 的 is a 'the' and 故事 means story or tale) The name was likely changed when 'because of you' already gets the meaning across but it does lose some context, with the story involved, its more (and personal interpretation here) a passing of the torch. Stories only exist when written down or in someone's head, with elysian realm deleted the only ones now who know the stories of the 13 flamechasers are us the players (and mei) who have been told it. If we don't exist than this story of people who've died will no longer exist either (figuratively). with Elysia's "Dear Eden", the original line is "我的好伊甸" which translate (in it's entirety) to "My good Eden" or "My dear Eden". The translation is fine but it is something interesting (the vibe feels a bit more playful and intimate to me) with mobius, her first line is "not surprisingly, you still have to get everyone on board' while the og is "结果，还是想着拉上所有人一起" which i would more interpret it as "in the end, you still want to pull everyone along" (together). as zKodla stated in the video, Elysia's response isn't 'Huh? But I can't tell you're bothered, not in the slightest' but "你明明也很开心吗” which is more "You're very clearly very happy too". Sakura's line is "This has never been seen before, right?", the Chinese line is "这是在历史上也不从有过的镜像“ translating quite similarly as "this is a scene that's never before been seen in history" (something along that line). The main thing I would say is that Sakura phrase it more as a statement rather than an open ended question. Elysia's response to Kevin's "are you ready, Elysia" is a "但让啦” meaning "Of course!" which i feel carry more energy and omph than the "sure" we got Elysia's line to the HoC with the big attack is "and create a future, we could not reach", the Chinese is "去创造我们所未能迎接的， 未来吧“ translating the same but could also mean "go create the future we were not able to welcome" Overall the translation is very decent and get the message/vibes across but these are a few points that i felt worthy (or were interesting enough) to point out that could add more context

Shower thoughts about the spoilers i've heard and this animation, I think this will be something akin to what himeko is to kiana, Mei had good memories of the Elysian Realm regardless of all the life-threatening situations she was put in, I firmly think this is gonna be her motivation to do good for the world and to keep moving forward, it honestly is reminiscent of what Himeko did for Kiana, sacrificing herself to be the motivation of the main character. But this time it's the 13 flamechasers. (mainly thought of this cause it would be cool as hell if Mei got an animation that's like everlasting flames but instead of himeko pushing kiana forward to defeat HoD, it'd be the flamechasers pushing mei forward to defeat an even bigger threat) this is the ramblings of a pretty new captain that only got to experience ER mostly and not the main story just yet
*Elysia so cool!* It's kind of heartwarming seeing the group finally set aside their differences and work together. _After how bullheaded they're shown to be,_ and so individualistic. But of a fun fact now, this was most likely inspired by Evangelion, namely the imagery used in the third and final movies where the space the characters are in really reminds me of this, and how the place was collapsing into a giant, red space But more importantly, I love the giant Ely, and the stained glass portrait! _Ely so cool she turned this into Kingdom Hearts_

The Elysia we met was not just a mere recording, but the real Elysia. (Shoulders the burden of others, loves them, and sacrifices herself. That is why her item is the crown of thorns.)

i love that if you rewatch this it’s clearly never not been in Elysia favor. 1) when her face is glitching she is shown smiling, showing it’s her plan to get into the HoC and get the 13 out. 2) she can easily stop the HoC from rewinding from without going into full Herrscher of Origin form, she was just going along with it to bait the HoC. this really just shows how powerful of a herrscher she was that this was never really any effort for her, she just wanted her friends to be restored and to battle together before she destroyed the entire realm herself.
Noticed Elysia in her Herrscher form never moved from her spot? She is just that damn strong. Only time she moved was when she shot herself as an arrow.

watching this animated short from start to finish was an entire gold mine! so many cool little details are seen if u look close enough and the style they took in from oldies anime into the more modern style was really awesome 😭😭 and the credit scenes were so nostalgic and sad the fact that elysia said the words she first said in the ER concept trailer and played the music where she was alone in the flowerbeds is also used elysia really is the start and end of everything ❤️ amazing reaction i love it!! completely worth the wait 😆 and of course let's go elyeden nation !!!
DAMN it’s hard to believe it’s only been a year since the Elysian Realm’s first release, feels way longer than that!! Definitely one of the best arcs, for I really love them all as a group - so well written. Sad that this seems to be the end of the journey in the realm, but wouldn’t have had it any other way; grand and spectacular as Elysia put it. Thank you for the nice because of you and TruE reaction video, the one that i give salute for Mihoyo is that even the lyrics song is also a story about PE like the one when she said "in the world waiting to be lit" is how HoTE is preapring to burn the earth surface and that they should keep all the tears to make sure the new world after being burned will still have live left, i know i don't deserve Herscher Elysia but i still want to have her in 6.0 so that i can make tribute to the one that opens up a path toward herscher that have human ego in current era, well, then let us wait for 1 more month before she come home shall we?
I remember someone in the comments of the animated short pointed out that Ellie wanted all 13 of them to fight together as her one final wish. And the fact that all 13 of the sims actually united to battle HoC gives me massive amounts of serotonin.
also something that I found really interesting was when she did the arrow attack and it cleared the aspect ratio back to normal, she went from the hand drawn to cgi.
I really loved the retro feel to this animation, really a fitting way to bring an arc about the PE to a close. And as much as I really liked this arc, I’m excited to get back to the Kiana-Dudu storyline.

From the time Elysia arrived in the game I knew she will be a very important character in the story. I felt very strong emotion upon her very iconic "Hi!" as she waves at you in greeting. She is always positive to the point that she sounds sus in her sincereness, but in the end her beauty, her lovable disposition and her attitude were very charming for me. And now, she ascends to become the Herrscher of Humanity / Ego .... I remember Madoka on their similarity. Sacrifice to save all and moving forward to the future. Color aside, they are both embodiment of struggles and hope. The song is really something and beautiful as well. I will surely roll for her Herrscher form too! Very nice reaction and analysis as well miss! You never fail to give a great video!
I love how the final ost of the post credit scene (where you see Elysia and the flowers) is a direct reference to the OST that plays in the first concept trailer of the Elysian Realm, when the name of Elysia shows up. The story begins with Elysia and ends with Elysia. Truly a masterpiece.
I always like these videos even if you weren't able to do a full analysis due to trying to avoid spoilers. I'm also trying to avoid any story spoilers for ch. 31. with the lost in translation thing for Elysia, maybe they were trying to make her still sound playful in her response to what Mobius said? it's amazing how important miHoyo actually made this arc for the lore and understanding of what the Flamechasers actually meant and stood for. really glad they made it a part of the main story after introducing it through Elysian Realm first.
When all of them came together and the lines that Ely said when she transformed got me really emotional because it was her exact same lines when Elysian Realm was also introduced. The 13 Flame-chasers will always be in our hearts!
Ok something i saw , if you see carefully when the giant entity elysia charges up the bow, it forms a pattern SIMILAR to HoH Human form gameplay when you charge attack!
The end credits made me burst into tears. Seeing how some of the FC's lives where b4 the Honkai completely took their peace away. Especially that scene where Eden sung her final goodbyes to Ellie and died bec the PE is where she belonged in her heart.
I must say that i haven't felt so broken yet happy since everlasting flames cuz seeing the bittersweet ending of kiana and elysia losing many things but also gaining other things in the process makes me wanna cry cuz they've gone such a fucking long way. Kiana's wish to protect all that is beautiful in the world, and elysia's wish to fight honkai together with the 12 flamechasers make me just wanna break down
I liked it. It did what it needed to do. It wrapped up the story of the Elysian realm perfectly. It’s always wonderful when stories or games with lots of lore touch up on the world that came before the present. Though I’m sad to see Elysia and the Flame Chasers go, I’m glad we’ll be back to the main story soon. I still think Everlasting Flames is the best animation (And I honestly don’t see it ever being topped until the finale maybe😅).
I think that final move Elysia did was actually summoned the Kevin Killer Mk 666. It uses Elysia as the required catalyst to engage, which pretty much understandable since no matter how hard HoC tried, it could not have complete control over Kevin Killer Mk666. Well, that weapon literally deleted everything. Poof, and ER is gone, with everything in it.
For us this is bittersweet but for Elysia this is the best ending shell ever have. To all of them working together to fight honkai and to pass her legacy their legacy onto Mei. Ah what a wonderful end To Real Unblemished Elysia
The significance of the 13 is really strong for this group. Seeing how it was the simulated memory of the 13 with Elysia being in the lead to end the 13th herrscher of this current era, left a bitter closure to me about how relations between those flamechasers will never be the same after the 13th herrscher was born in their era... FeelsKalpas here cause Sakura Simp lol... Somehow I feel that all this with the thirteenth herrscher was expected by Kevin, having Mei handle it as conviniently giving her "answers" while avoiding being reminded of his guilt.
10:44 Deleted but not Write Zero. Deleted basically just label the section to be rewriteable but it is still recoverable as long as its not wrote over, while Write Zero basically flip all the switch to 0 effectively rendering it unrecoverable.
I'm very late to make a comment, but if no one told you yet, the fight they were actually being fought on a coding level. Literal working C++ code lines, including the aspect ratio switching animation style switching. So in essence, it wasn't just a visual battle, but a battle between two high level hackers fighting over Admin privileges over the Elysian Realm evident by the lines of code appearing at the bottom left of the screen. In the end, Ellie turned her very essence turns her into the arrow to kill Herrscher of Corruption and take the Realm with her.
This animation deserves a hunt for easter eggs. (P.S. after scrolling thru the comments there are a lot of easter eggs noticed and a lot more to be uncovered.)
The aspect ratio sank when Elysia took damage from 16x9 slowly to 4x3 and then classic tv, and then unsank back when she powered up, along with the art style changed from modern 3D back to 2D and then classic anime, and then reverse Those are the best and most unique parts of this animation 👌👌
However visitor, your road ahead never ends, right? In Chinese Elysian Realm PV：但来访者，你的道路仍将前进，不是吗？ Because of you： 但来访者，你们的道路仍将前进，不是吗？ “你”can only mean one person，“你们”can mean many people. So this is what Ellie said to all players, not just Mei. So don't be sad, Follow your heart and move forward.
This is story about 13 Flame Chaser. In Old World they are special and they have power to fight Honkai. And in animation. This is first time and last time 13 Flame Chaser combine and fight. That's is wonderful 😭. I love it. That's reason i use all of my crys to pull Elysia HoHE. 😁
Elysia's final lines after transforming to herrscher form were from the elysian realm trailer, but the tone were different to the point you can point out how proud ellie is at this new cg
I'm not sure if the Visitor is us, even though we technically travel through time and space in various events to "obtain" different Valkyries. Like isn't Mei the one that entered the Elysian Realm from the start? But I have to say, seeing the 12 Flame Chasers in their happiest times in the Old Era is kinda heart-wrenching, how their lives are robbed so many years ago.
for some animation feeling share , the first fight part there got hint that elysia wanted hoc to corrupt her data, got 2 fast screen showing elysia smile face. after elysia go in hoc database [the 4:3 tv part], after hoc say farewell elysia , delect complete. just few second elysia is overwrite back the elysian ream data to call back/recover all 12 fc data which have corrupt by hoc. from elysia body recover back to sketch line and her eden give her the colour shirt[ just like last time conversation, eden was design all her outfit]. elysia main wish was to team up all 13 of them to defect the honkai. this is what elysia didnt just use the final ultimate power direct shot to hoc. she want all of them 13 fc to defect honkai that was never happen on past they alive. final fight past, hoc try to reward back , but elysia use 12 fc signal as arrow to freeze hoc movement, the final giant eli was the kevin killer 666 [ this guessing, from last vill v conversation, all she made the weapon fail to kill kevin, but she manage to made one concept -- want kill kevin only success it to destroy the elysian ream, after vill v made this kk666, she pass the activation code to ely ]. this what i guessing, elysia can just use kk666 at first fight, but she decide goin hoc to recover back all of them, this why mobius say to elysia, want to teamup them together. ~the ending of the flame chasers must be grand and spectacular~ this has alway say by elysia from begin.

I remember that Kevin said that even if Elysia is not a human at all, it was born as a Herscher… she has become the most beautiful and perfect human that has exist in any era
One thing I noticed is that Elysia's transformation was so similar to Kiana's transformation as the HoF. Only instead of Gems of Power, it was the FC Signets. I can't even imagine how powerful HoH would be if Elysia was still alive. Because that right there, she held the power of humanity itself. And this was done by uniting all Flamechasers, something that they could not do when they were alive. HoH must Kiana's endgame, what similar kind of power that she needs to defeat the coming Herrscher of the End.
Not gonna lie, this song makes me so emotional. It sounds like a song Eden would sing for the world to remember her friend. It's a song written as an ode to Elysia, the most beautiful soul that has ever existed. Elysia is hope. She is life. Elysia is everything that's beautiful in this world. Not to feed into your dream of Elysia x Eden but...you know.. Only pointing out the facts here 👀
the part where elysia sacrificed her own being to become a huge yellow arrow and killed the herrscher of corruption was so amazing, watching this whole vid made me cry tbh
