This Beck is the same Beck as the one here in the 2020s. People grow up for better or worse. And the music remains. The recent stuff like Colors is up there with Beck's best, I believe.

For those who haven't figured it out yet, this interview was done by the same guy who interviewed John Frusciante in 1995 when the latter was very severely trapped in his Heroin addiction. Bram Van Splunteren has since gotten a name for being a trustworthy journalist who interviewed people with the utmost respect.

This is so good. Beck in his early years was so much of a genius and that shows how much he was. That video is a eye opener although I knew much of it.
