@@badsanta7356 Indie refers to independent, which means games which are developed independently by a small team or a group of friends with low budget. The main aspect of most indie games (atleast successful) is creativity, that's why its more fun to play. There are plenty of great indie games like Hollow Knight, Inside, Limbo, Cuphead, Katana Zero, Firewatch etc.
If you have passion, it'll become easier and you wont see it that hard but if you're all about revenue about each game you're going to make or made, now that's what which is going to make it harder.

Important note: some begineers will think they can make very good graphics but it's a false hope in first time make some basic things in the first (like platformers, action etc.) Then jump to horror, fps and then try to adjust graphics. Then try to make your own game

Back in 2017 when I was in class 7th I found out what is it , my biggest tip for those who are interested in this field is to train yourself to be patient
@@selena4153this question is just unanswerable as it is totally unpredictable how much time does it take to become a game developer , i can atleast tell you that to make a successful game it will take around 3 to 4 years and the reason for this specific time is that so many developers have taken this ammount of time to learn it and this is the average time a game takes to be made (according to me) is 4 years.

This is very challenging field before careful you lose about 2-3 year hardly earning + 1 year Learning Middle class family guy should be earning first than move to this field And you will not get praise like IT engineer. Employer look u as kids and misuse Forget 67lakh it a false hope bcoz Every student is not good DSA, MATHSZ ETC I HAVE COUNTLESS FRIENDS THIS JOB IS FUN FOR FEW MONTHS TO YEAR AFTER THAT PAIN THIS INFO IS FROM EXPERIENCE MANY FRIENDS & forum This field is as competitive or field. This people's speak only successful people which very few world like 1-5 % same as class because of awareness of studies & personal Im myself 😂 developer from many year never crossed 14lakh lol He is giving hope 50lakh+ lol I work with 5-6 studio no has revenue near 2cr some 50 lakh for runnig studio how can they pay this amount. Sure world feeled greed & more want people boost by successful More money 💰= more happiness or success you will loss ur friends & family & morals & precious time on way realize is it worth it ? I think if you need successful start small business with research & scarcity thing in area Or better solution bcoz There definitely lots of options out to be successful. Everything is not easy people assume. Even this guy he started career very short age and sister. You can see did he became next zack or young ceo india. Definitely not ! But successful enough create presence in society does make next big guru in all field. Even zack was he can guide only match his level or little lower skill set and awareness people. Im sure He cant teach people who memmorize engineer books and problem solving subj.

I watched till the end and bro extremely thanks for making an informative video like this. I was about to give up on making games as a beginner because I do not have the amount of money to buy some courses and learn it but you saved me thanks a lot from this stranger :) Keep making this kind of videos.
so after doing this you all will end up making games that isn't good in game play ,interactive,etc see people think AI is something very special but it only include some matrices and basic linear algebra on the other hand as a game devlopper if you want to work in company which pay high you need to be more then average in physics,you should be ""mastering"" math concepts these are as follows vector,advanced vectors,2d vector,3d vector,advance matrices,advance transforms,interpolation,beziers,advance curve and path see have you ever heard of many of these topics this is what you need if you really want to make high quality game engine yes most of the big company going to pay you money will have their own different , different game engine for different type of games and to edit or make that engine you need to learn math not just basic but advance topics like you are a mathematician and you also need to learn good amount of physics who am I ,I am working in ubisoft
i directly started working on unreal engine, dont know if its the right way but i was already learning c++ so i thought it was the right way also ue5 is killing with its lumen lighting technique. Dont know if its right, i can only wish if its worth it
unreal cpp is very different from standard cpp and you don't need lumen if you are a solo dev , and making a small game , and you shouldn't be making the dream game of yours.
Who else wants to become a game developer like me not for only money but to create something special u feel missing or need to add while playing some other games.

Just for views you are setting high expectations for youth. I have worked in game dev for 7 yr and the max package is 12 . And mostly the whole industry in India is mobile based gaming. 97 you may never get even with c++ .

Gamedev is a joke. Honestly man, you're the last person I thought I'd see peddling blatantly wrong ideas such as "Gamedev will land you an excellent, well paying job! Watch this vid to get an oversimplified idea of reality!" No. Just...no. The industry is a mess. The work- life balance is non-existent. The deadlines are ever present. The number of hours you need to put in as an entry level programmer/designer in about any A level studio are enormous. The pay is NOTHING compared to a job in say, a software development firm. Come on ishan, you're painting an entirely wrong picture of what it's like to be game dev

You'll see a lot of people hyping this up as a really satisfying career choice but the truth of the matter is that it's incredibly hard to actually find success in the field. The job market is terrible. The job security is even worse. People are laid off left and right. It's alright to do it as a hobby I guess but if you really want a stable job, software development is a much better choice

@@IshanSharma7390 Valid Point Sir. Virtual Reality is suitable for immersion for a regular walk around. Still, fast action Player VS Player games can't be played utilising VR as it can result in Dizziness and Fatigue etc. There's so much scope in this; let's see what the future has to offer
