I recently got a contract with a brand I use on the daily basis to be a UGC. 3 videos a month and it's easy because I use their services a lot. So now I just essentially get paid to do what I do but with a more creative flair to it. I honestly lucked out, it's my first partnership with a brand and they approached me. I do know a bigger influencer she has around 11k and she also does some ugc for them, she charges a lot more than me but she only does 2 videos. I can see how if you are a big creator it could be tiring to post for someone else, instead of focusing on your own page. But I am super grateful I got this opportunity and I'm hoping to manifest another ugc deal or paid partnership! Would love to turn it eventually into a full-time income.
Also I only have around 1k followers so for anyone reading this, it is possible! Be authentic, engage with your audience, show love for the brands you wanna work with, show them sample videos of you using their products and that you genuinely love their brand.
@@studio817withmissjae3 It's my first gig, so I did some research online and I decided on $200 per reel. So I will be getting $800 per month also including free product.
Thank you! I just learned about UGC. I emailed about 30 brands, got a few “we’re not doing paid partnerships right now” but one of them offered to send me some product for 2 videos. I don’t plan on doing exchanges like this too much but I can’t wait to get paid offers! 🎉
Wow. This was so amazing. I am a new UGC creator, still working on my portfolio. This short video helped so much and I can't wait to start this new journey. Thank you and God bless
This was very helpful! I just decided to learn more about how I can become a UGC Creator and I was excited to see that you had a video already created on the topic. You da BEST!
Such a good video, and very insightful. I’ve been doing UGC for nearly 3 years and it’s been really rewarding. I suggest anyone to go ahead and try it out 😊
So since you’ve been a UGC creator for 3 years is it difficult doing taxes each and every year ? Like do u sign a tax form for each brand u work with ??
@@biancaarmstrong1764 no it’s very straightforward, I live in the UK and work part time so I declare the extra income and get taxed by my government. I work mainly on Fiverr and also with independent brands.
Question: as s person in Greece that wants to start ugc creation cause I'm unemployed and with health issues basically at thw moment, how can I approach this as a person that stresses over taxes and basically is tax illiterate with basically also zero income? 😅😂. Seriously. I'll go to an accountant for example and what do I ask? "I wanna produce ugc content do you know how much and how often is it tasked and you take on the logistics? What if they don't know what it means, then what? Do I explain or do I go to a different one? How do I know they will not be scamming me, after I've sorted that out? Also how does fever work, is it applicable in the rest of Europe? Cause I don't have a lawyer and they're expensive, at least here😅. Thanks in advance and bravo on your accomplishments, you lot are all an immense inspo and motivation to me.
@@allthingsjannah so I started in electronics and and now mainly do household items. You can get started with anything you have in your house. Very easy to get started. Any questions let me know :)
I absolutely loved this, I just recently found out about UGC and am deciding to give it a go. I have no following and no clue what I'm doing or where I should start but now I can hopefully get started as the way you laid things out was perfect and so clear. I really appreciate it!!
Yes! I appreciate not having other product brands in my UGC! It needs to be clear in the videos I have made, it's all about my brand and products. Great tip for new UGC creators as well as new brands! Thank you for sharing such great tips and advice!
I have been thinking about the next step for my channel and someone suggested UGC but I didn't quite understand it as there seemed to be a blurred line with influencing. Thank you so much for taking your time to explain this subject, and for covering all angles and bases. I appreciate it a lot. Hopefully I can get my channel and blog started again and zero in on UGC content.
I am a UGC creator in Ireland. It's great but we need to stop acting like it's easy because it's not. Brands actually want to see that you have great videos and have creator. Everyone wants to be a UGC creator the same way everyone wants to be a influencer. It's not that easy.
This is such a FABULOUS and in-depth video that provides SO much value. Thank you so much for this!! Going to implement all these tips and see what happens
Howdy, current aspiring UGC creator. Can you speak a little about being a black content creator? A lot of the videos I'm seeing on Yotube and TikTok are what I want to hear but not from the faces I'd like to see. I'm curious if there's brands you may tend to stick with or stay away from.
Omg! Yes I enjoyed this video a lot! I've been working all 2023 doing ugc with fitness & stretching apps, and now I'm realizing I should have seen your video sooner. Thanks!
For a beginner UGC creator like me, how should I make my base rates? I’ve been doing research and another creator mentioned to start off to $150-200 for one video, and to increase the charge by how many videos the brand wants. But since I’m a new creator, would it be unfair for me to have that amount? I’d love your advice!!
This is exactly what I needed to see today. Thank you. 🙌 I have been struggling to come up with a strategy. I am employed full time content creator, meaning worked in companies doing this as a job. I finally sat down to create social media content for my self and quickly understood that I don’t enjoy speaking in front of the camera or using my voice for voiceovers. Can I be still be a UGC creator if I do not want to talk in front of camera/use my voice?
Hey sis i make over 5 figures on UGC with no niche so it’s not needed I also have a RU-vid video on how to brands your next 15 UGC brands if you still need help you can check it out
Love all the info Jade! Do you have a video from the brand perspective? Like how to approach UGC creators and things to keep in mind when creating a contract? This post was super insightful for looking at things from the creator perspective. Thanks!
This is highly informative. Thank you for always giving the game! I do have a question: you mentioned that those who are influencing should steer clear from UGC. What if you are an aspiring influencer and you are still in the infancy stages (i.e. you're consistent but still haven't grown enough to get brand deals- not even 1k followers yet). Do you think UGC would be a good idea to make a little bit of money until your influencing following is big enough to start brand deals as an influencer. And even doing UCG for a totally different niche than what you are "influencing" for. For example travel UCG, beauty influencer.
i’m in a similar boat, so i’m just going to answer with my opinion here! as i’m starting ugc, i’m just only taking on deals where i genuinely love the product, and leaning towards ugc content where i don’t show my face. in this industry, you can always pivot! so no, i don’t think we’re limited to ugc or influencing :)
«You don’t need a following to be a ugc creator» But I feel like a lot of UGC creators starts off with that🤔 I want to get into UGC because I DON’T have a huge following and I don’t want to post to my social media.
I am a quilters, a Tye Dyer, and a distributor for prife iteracare. If I wanted to create content for all of these things, should I use different pages?
All the portfolios I’ve seen of other UGC creators have a rates page. You said we should keep our rates to ourselves for our own reference. I was planning on having a rates page with “starting at” prices. Do you think we should leave the rates page out entirely?
So I'm thinking about to getting into UGC but I would be literally starting from scratch as I don't have a big following on my social media accounts. I'm just wondering is it worth learning and getting into.
At, 13 day I faced a problem😣 how to determine the price I want As you know, I am a beginner so I do not know how much they pay. In addition, they will probably pay me a little, and if I refuse, I am afraid that I will not conclude other deals!!!!! Can you help me 🙏🙏🙏
Watched a few videos but haven't heard anyone mention whether the brand is supposed to supply you with products or if you are supposed to source those yourself.
Oh my! This video is amazing and well explained! I’m in the negotiation part with a brand that I love, but I’m unsure about how much to ask for my work… I’ve done some research but I’m still pretty confused at the moment… ok being paid per hour, but if I don’t know how much time this will take me? What it is a rational rate or a standard one?
Would you say it's easier to 'break into' the UGC market compared to being an influencer? I haven't seen much info on if UGC-markets are just as flooded or not!
I thoroughly appreciated this video. I just started my UGC journey. I just landed my first PR deal so I’m excited to get to work. I am finding that many brands are boxing me in with an influencer when I send them a pitch via DM although I clearly state I am a UGC creator. How do you overcome that?
You may want to ensure that UGC is a part of your IG handle or in your bio that way the misconception may be prevented. Also, I believe she stated in the video, that it is KEY to let them know in the email or DM that you are interested in working with them FOR UGC because it is not uncommon for brands to assume you may be an influencer, or they may only be looking to work with influencers or vice versa.
I only pitch brands who are using UGC Ads currently this way when I pitch them they already know what it is and I already know they have the budget to afford my rates I find them in the TikTok Ads library
