This entire system is a complete money making con. The government are providing diplomas/ technical certificates and employers want the NVQ. All I can see is these poor guys are paying out twice and being taken advantage of. This way only really benefits those who have been working for years as plumbers and they don't have qualifications or their qualifications might not be recognised in this country. Plumbers come to these types of companies for assessment only. The diploma does include practical work but you need to have a real case practical to get the NVQ hence why they have purchased a run down building and putting trainees inside there.
Go to college but try to find one that offers an apprenticship because you will get the certs and NVQ. Just make sure there is a clear NVQ at the end or be prepared to spend 1k or more getting the NVQ afterwards@@JesusSavesFromDeathandHell
I paid nearly £5000 for a scum complaint train for trade, they said it’s got my diploma and nvq included level 2 and 3. They sent me a letter after 2 years saying my course has expired and all I achieved at the end was my level 2 diploma bloody scums
