It's happening! We are starting this journey and it is exciting, wonderful, and naturally a bit scary too, with a bit of every other emotion mixed in! But we could not be happier and are looking forward to what the new year will bring. I will do my best to continue making RU-vid videos for as long as I am able, and appreciate your understanding that sometimes I will have to take breaks, especially when baby comes, but that does not mean I am ready to leave RU-vid anytime soon ❤️ however, my level of productivity - no doubt - change throughout this journey. ALSO: this channel will never be about children or parenthood, so I only plan to give a little update here and there (all good things). I will - as always - be sticking to content related to simple living, nature, and meditative subjects. Much love!

Dear Paola, I am a young mother and have subscribed to your channel since you first began, though I’ve never left a comment. I’ve watched and re-watched and cherished every video you have ever created. You bring us such light and grace, and have encouraged and inspired me so deeply as a gentle, childlike soul myself who lives immersed in nature like you do. You have such a beautiful life ahead of you, bringing your child into the peace, love, kindness and wisdom that you and Luke have nurtured within. You have such strength of heart and character, and will be an incredible mother. I will be praying for you throughout your pregnancy and motherhood. I have three young kids, and exploring the forests and flowers with them, dancing with them and my husband, teaching them and learning alongside them - even crying with them… it’s a thousand times more precious than I imagined it would be. It’s super challenging at times, but worth every moment. I don’t have any special wisdom to offer about being a mom, except to encourage the way you already are: keep on knowing yourself deeply, and being kind and good to yourself, and you will have the strength to give that same understanding kindness to your family. I'm a mom of 4 and grandma of 1. As a new mom I remember being grateful for a 5 minute shower. I'm glad RU-vid didn't exist in the 1990s when my children were born. New motherhood is exhausting and overwhelming. But nobody is ever honest about that or even talks about it. 😔

I'm so happy for you! Congratulations Paola! Being pregnant in the winter is the best bc your body temp runs a bit higher and you def feel it in the heat! From here on out please consider the motto "the days are long but the years are short" it will really help with anxiety and any feelings of being "stuck" esp if you're not feeling well. Sending your family prayers and feelings of peace and joy. 🙏✨💫 I was a teen Mom, i assure you, a baby/child is only as expensive as you choose -just like anything in life. @@KH-hr5xm in their first year they only really need like 5 things, a boob (or formula), diapers, clothes (minimum works, they grow fast), shelter and a whole lot of LOVE! All the "things" ppl say are must haves are truly a luxury. With how minimal Paola is, I've no doubt she'll master this with her creativity!

Dear Paola, I don't comment often, but I wanted to add something today upon hearing this wonderful news! One of the things that I dislike about RU-vid is how possessive people's followers can get, and it makes me nervous about putting myself out there someday. I know many people mean well, but there is a feeling that people want you to stay because they want to see more of you, to consume more of your content. I know this is probably not meant in a bad way on their account, but there shouldn't be a sense that you are creating just to fulfill the desires of a market of followers. I think I speak for the majority of us in saying that we wholeheartedly support you in whatever is best for you moving forward. This is your life, and you should be free to do whatever you want with it, whether that includes RU-vid or not. You are here on RU-vid and we are so grateful for the amazing gifts you've already given us, but we also support you in leaving it if you feel that that is right. It's true, I'll miss you if you do as a follower of your content for some years, but I support what's best for you regardless. This is about YOU. And, conversely, I'll be glad if I see a new video from you, created at your own pace. Just take care of yourself and enjoy where life takes you! I have watched you for years since you were in the last cabin, seeing you build this relationship, get married and a house has been an amazing journey. Oh my gosh Paola I'm so happy for you. The thought of you being a mother makes me so emotional. I am now 20 and I found your channel at 16 or so. You got me through so much and I have changed so much, from feeling I deserved nothing at all, to starting to comprehend ideas of family, questions of parenthood and adultlofe coming to the forefront. These thoughts caught me off guard, id never considered a life ahead of me like that. For this reason, your announcement really struck me. The thought of you leaving youtube is saddening, but the thought of you moving to a new and happy chapter in your life makes me feel happier too. Congratulations, Paola. What a wonderful season of your life. I have enjoyed your videos for a couple of years now. You mean so much to me because through you I have been able to understand my anxiety disorder, and am not alone in the struggle. I will be 82 this month, and have had anxiety since I was a child. I have 2 children all grown up of course, and am a grandmother as well. I love crafts/painting watercolors, and nature, candles, and of course books. For me , after the first 15 weeks sick as a dog 24/7 and loosing a lot of weight , I regained energy(the energy of 5 horses )and spend the rest of the pregnancy working on big big projects , moving households, decorating , working full time until the very last day and then giving birth in only 5 hours ( last child 2 hours ) I was so productive after those first 3 months being sick like having a constant hangover . I could move Mountains 👍🏼 Hope you have a magical time ahead ❤️

Ah, I am so happy to hear this news. I feel a sense of happiness for you and bittersweet torment as I lost my own child in a miscarriage that was induced by a rare medical diagnosis called a cervical ectopic. Sadly, this occurs w a high maternal morbidity, and I hemorrhaged and nearly lost my life. I woke up after surgery and was told that I had to have a hysterectomy. It has been very hard for me, but I truly cherish the two children I had prior even more as I realize how precious life is and also what a gift it is to carry and birth a child. Please enjoy every moment. Much love to you. I cannot describe what comfort your channel brings to me on days when life gets a little on the heavy side.

I started my channel long before I had my son, and I can say that I definitely took a pretty long pause when he was born but I felt SO inspired after he was born that I picked back up on my passions only 5 months later. Transitioning into motherhood was a huge adjustment and I realized that. I just want to say congratulations, I wish you good health for both you and your baby. I want to encourage you in your creative ventures - but please take your time and enjoy as much as you can as you step into motherhood. I am also not a parenting/child centered channel. Honestly, it can be really balancing to have a creative outlet that is purely yours - just do what fills your heart with joy.

Oh congratulations Paola!!!! I know you'll probably never see this, but I wanted to say it anyway. Do not worry about your followers here. I am pregnant also, due in May, with my 3rd baby, a baby after loss, and whew. The first trimester can take it out of you! Focus on you and your husband and your sweet growing baby. You have contributed so much to the world in many ways, and have made an impact on my healing journey. But! In my experience and that of many others- when you become a mother, one of the greatest ways you can contribute to the world is growing and raising healthy children. With all the tragedies in the world, we need more good people. It's ok to put the bulk of your energy into your family if that is what you wish. Whatever mothers choose to do, whether they work or not, doesn't matter. What does matter is that present and loving parents make a bigger impact on the world than people realize. I personally couldn't keep changing the world as a teacher after we started our family, because I had nothing left to give to my family after giving my all to my students. Some women don't struggle with that and that's great! I just wanted to say from one pregnant mama to another- put your energy where you want to. Don't even think about RU-vid if it drains you. So much love to you!!!
