“Becoming a Sports Lawyer” is a series of LawInSport webinars that seeks to voice varied perspectives and address the practical realities of what it takes to build a career in the sports law industry.
In this webinar, ‘Starting Out’, we host 3 early career professionals, each of them having taken different career paths, shed light on their journeys, what sports law means to them and what they think it takes to break into the industry. The speakers also touched upon the merits of several sports law education programs and answered several questions from our global audience, in what was a lively and engaging hour and a quarter!
Speakers:
Emily Ablitt - Trainee Solicitor, Shoosmiths (member of Sports Group)
Dan Kelly - Paralegal, Swim England (also completed an LLM in Sports Law and Practice, De Montfort University)
Rustam Sethna - Associate at LawInSport (and Future Associate at Mills & Reeve, also completed a Master’s in International Sports Law from ISDE, Madrid)
