Taking you trough the process of becoming Odette/Odile in ballet Swan Lake. It was a long and difficult journey but I’m so happy and proud to have the opportunity to do one of the most incredible roles in ballet. I hope you will enjoy watching like i was enjoying the process ( even if it doesn’t look like this sometimes 🤪🙈).

I love all the behind the scenes details. The intensive practice, your shoes, ballerina feet and all. Watching the performance from 'behind the curtain' was delightful. Had ballet lessons for 10yrs, so I have no illusions about your dedication and sacrifices to reach this pinnacle in the world of ballet. Lifelong lover of ballet from Ontario, Canada. I followed Karen Kain's career from the beginning, her parents were friends of my parents. I try to get to Toronto often for the National Ballet. You are mesmerizing to watch. Thank you for generously sharing your life on your toes. Best of luck in all your future endeavors.

Why do her pointe shoes in the beginning look like they're about to die? I appreciate the hard work that goes into creating a piece like this. It's often said that being Odette/Odile is the pinnacle of a ballerina's career. I'd say that rings true. As a side note, dancing with a broken bone in your foot is extremely risky and can pose a threat to your career in the long run. The break could get worse and possibly end your career for good. But to power through it all is a feat in and of itself. Congratulations on all your hard work!

omg sometimes you look so tired, it must be so much physically demanding 😢 but - completely not linked to my previous statement - I thought that December was more a Nutcracker season?

Yeah, it is Nutcracker season😁🎄 Now we start with Nutcracker but it takes a bit to put the video together so it comes a bit later..🙈😅
