Don't make the same over generalization. Yes men and women are born with different bodies and biological functions but as "MOST" woman won't choose that job or be able to qualify, Men cannot do what some Woman could do easily.

Rubi Prieto I’m in the process of submitting my application for Aviator/Flight Officer myself. Best advice is to reach out to a recruiter and express your interest in becoming a Naval Aviator and or Flight Officer. They’ll get you in touch with an Officer Recruiter who can advise you on how to get where you want to go. Aside from reaching out to a recruiter, just focus on getting the best GPA you can in college and take what opportunities you can to gain leadership experience. Aviator Selection boards focus primarily on your ASTB-E score, which is an exam you’ll have to take down the line, and your GPA. Good luck!

There are actual aviation/professional pilot degrees. Not that you have to specialize in aviation, but it would make sense.

A J, To become a Marine Pilot you go through Naval Pilot training...It's exactly the same training/school. I had many Marine instructors and. Coast Guard instructor. Some may say that the Marines may have a more challenging mission once winged and in the fleet, but they are Naval Aviators just like there Navy brethren

Christian, the best way to guarantee your navy career as an aviator would be to graduate first of your class at the US Naval Academy, because the Academy offers first picks of assignments to the top of the class. However, the Academy is hard to enter and very academically challenging, so based on my research I would say NROTC with a related major and higher class rank would be preferable.

hey man/girl, you can do whatever you want in life. I never thought I would be doing anything except maybe becoming a manager at McDonald's but right now I'm a Fireman in the Navy training to work on nuclear reactors. Now I'm planning on attending a meeting about possibly transferring to the Naval academy to either be a nuclear officer or naval aviator. I can do whatever i want in life and so can you, all it takes is a trip to the recruiters office.

+ThePlanetSolution Most pilots will be stationed in a squadron at a Naval Air Station or a base. If you are married and have children, they will get to move with you where you are stationed for shore duty. If you do get sea duty, you will only be gone 6-9 months at a time.

Tre'Sean Torrence Your vision must be no worse than 20/40 and needs to be correctable to 20/20. The Navy does accept officers who've undergone laser eye surgery. If your vision is a problem, this is something to look into. If you are colorblind or have trouble with depth perception, you can't be a Navy pilot.
