IA also has a very high rank beside SiD and O5 (keep in mind that IA overseer can have authority equal to medium-almost max rank SiD). I also have IA (overseer) and I really enjoy playing as it. SiD and O5 atleast have some degree of respect for you because you are supposed to work with and help SiD and O5 against disobeying staff. I usually either do con X checkpoint duty, watch cameras to give intel to combat units and turn on alarms or just be in CDC and arrest rule breakers. When asking about test permission or something similar noone even pays attention until I detain them. Guarding "secret" (classified) tests is also a side task to the IA and I also really enjoy being able to enter the CC of some con I and II SCPs that are not hostile while not interrupting the test. I think that IA reports directly to the O5 council like Alpha-1 which by itself gives them a very high position in the foundation, their job is staff supervision and interrogation, giving valuable intel through CCTV etc. Also if you have the overseer morph or plan to rank up, I suggest making your head and hands black (it makes the morph a lot better and makes you look like you have gloves). As a ScD (also overseer) I really try to do some meaningful tests (457 speed comparing, does 1025 common cold enrage 049, can time being inside 2006 CC enrage it, a lot of interesting con I tests like 714 against 933 and 1139 or just normal mainly harmless SCP tests like 860 or that hole that transports you to another universe) and oftentimes my test is randomly terminated, someone opens CC doors and breaches the SCP for no reason at all, random tasing and so on. This is also where IA steps in at supervising tests and insuring safety.

You can only cross test con X as long as no SCP in con X is exiting it's CC. An example may be a 1025's common cold or SCP 714 against SCP 049, you would not bring SCP 049 to 1025 or 714 and instead you would bring someone with common cold or 714 inside of 049 CC
