You should make a free course here on youtube on manual and automation QA if you have time. Or just go Udemy and make some money.

I apologize for the late reply, for some reason RU-vid has hid many of my comments from me, but thank you for the support! I am actually going to provide more course like work here on RU-vid and then have extended affordable extra course work for those who want it

Hey Juss! I just started a coding bootcamp with aspirations to become a SDET. I am only three weeks in, However the work is beginning to pile on! I am trying my best to stay motivated but finding your channel and seeing how're thriving in your roll is a big confidence boost! Especially since I am also a young black man. If you ever have time and are willing to answer some burning questions I have about what a day in the life of an SDET is actually like, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you and keep up the amazing content!

what's the difference between python QA automation and Java QA automation ? do they use different frameworks or tools ?
@thetestlead
@thetestlead 3 месяца назад
High level it’s all the same concepts with UI testing and API testing. It mainly comes down to the differences in the language syntax.

Yo, I REALLY appreciate your videos and perspectives. I'm on the fence about jumping into a QA bootcamp. I've already done a full-stack computer coding bootcamp, but decided that this is more up my alley. But I just can't make up my mind on whether or not I should pull the trigger. How did you get into QA? Maybe you have a video where you share your story (sorry, I'm a new subscriber!).... In any event, much appreciate sir. I'll be diving into your content over the next couple of weeks!
@thetestlead
@thetestlead 2 года назад
Thanks for the support! I'll actually make a future video about my specific path, but in short I already knew how to code and then a consulting firm hired me and trained me on the QA side, but I had to sign a contract to stay with them for a certain period of time. If you already know how to code you can honestly try some free,cheap courses here on RU-vid or udemy to get the fundamentals and then try to mass apply to some jobs before taking the full investment into a bootcamp

As a mom staying at home ; what’s your advice to me to work only from home remotely in IT and what type of courses in IT will be good for me ? Is help desk analyst same as IT support ?? Which one related to assemble computers devices and fix them with tools ?? Because I don’t like to fix or assemble computers devices …any advices please 🙏🏻🙏🏻
@thetestlead
@thetestlead 8 месяцев назад
Hey, it depends on what an acceptable salary for yourself is. The higher the salary needs, the more complex the job would need to be. If you don’t want to manually put together or fix computers stay away from any hardware jobs. Physical computers =hardware Try for software jobs. Help desk and IT support usually help people when they are having problems with their computers usually related to software so those can be options. You can also try manual software testing which has a low barrier of entry but is becoming more competitive because of the low barrier of entry and easiness of the learning the skillset. Hope this helped and if you have more questions you can email me at thetestinglead@gmail.com

@thetestlead

From my experience mysql. Normally after an application you are testing runs, it may make changes to a table in a database so you would use SQL to make sure the expected changes occurred. I will make some SQL video next week that might be of help

Like the pay for being an automation engineer? This will vary by your years of experience, company, and location. There is no real cap for your salary, as your skillset goes up, your pay should too, even if that means switching companies. Only staying at a tech job for only 2-3 years and leaving for a higher paying one is normal in the field

Hi im back, You mention for programming languages Python, Java, C#. By December 5th I will have 1 year of coding in JavaScript for the client side and I did a decent amount of OOP, and functions. I also have some SQL experience but I don't know Join and the testing technologies. Question? Which tends to be the language most used? Is it Python? Which would you recommend?
