Caramel mint cake recipe
Preheat your oven and grease 2 baking tins with baking spray and line with parchment paper at the bottom. Set aside.
Ingredients
Please use baking measuring cups and spoons.
-1 3/4 cups snowflake cake flour
-2 cups brown sugar
-2 tablet spoons cocoa powder
-1 1/2 tsp baking soda
-1 1/2 tsp baking powder
-half tsp salt
-1 full cup of amasi
-2 large eggs
-1/2 cup sunflower oil
-mint essence
-1 cup of hot water
For decoration you
Peppermint chocolate chocolate and Caramel sauce.
Method for the cake
In a big bowl mix all the dry together starting of sifting in flour, cocoa, salt, sugar, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Whisk and combine in a big baking bowl.
In a different bowl mix all the wet ingredients starting off by whisking eggs then add oil, amasi and mint and Caramel essence, (optional) use a handmixer and beat on medium speed for 3min till well combined.
Mix your wet ingredients with your dry ingredients and gently fold using a spatula till well combined. At the end add hot water gradually whilst mixing until the batter is well combined with no lumps.
Bake at 160 degrees for 45 to 50min.
Leave to cool completely before frosting.
Frost your cake and decorate with chopped chocolate and drizzle with caramel sauce.
