Becoming parents, how children influence relationships, & religion in family

Have children when you get ready. Most people who have kids wish they had waited to have them. Don't let anyone make you feel bad for not having children or waiting to establish yourselves until you have them. Children are expensive.

The happiness factor at first is poo-poo. Yes, happy baby is here and safe BUT the first 3 months is the hardest IMO. I’ll take toddler over new born any day! I haven’t got past toddler stage yet but seeing their personality form is amazing. I look forward too the future with my little sidekick.

Hi beautiful couple. It’s good to see the two of you discussing the cons and pros of having children. Once a child comes into the world it’s too late to say, “I think I made a mistake.” Talking about it with your spouse actually releases true and deep feels of joy and fear that is conjured up from within you to show you if you’re really ready or not. But as far as my belief: Jesus is the ONLY way to Yah/Elohim (God). John 14:6 ESV says: “Jesus said to him, “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Buda, Muhammad, the Virgin Mary or any other idols will not get you to Yah/Elohim (God). Jesus the Christ IS the ONLY way!!! Love you guys❤❤❤.

Have your kids young so they can get grown and gone. You will still have your younger lives too yourself. You may never be completely ready. You guys will never regret having kids. Destiny continue your education before you have a kid because just taking care of a husband is a big big job. When you add a kid you will be busy and may not have time for your education. Always be prepared too take care of your kids on your own

Because only Jesus Christ gave up his life to save souls. God makes his essence known to man even in the things in creation. There are things that only Jesus did that no other religious leaders did. Including being raised from the dead. He then said “No one comes to the father but by me”. So if there is one highway to a destination & a person chooses to take other routes that do it lead to the intended destination & they end up not arriving at the intended destination, & you miss whatever you were expected to find at that destination who do you blame? & if the reward of arriving there is heaven & you missed it by choosing your own path, what will you do then, especially when the alternative is not good like hell?

I thank you all for sharing your perspective. I think this is an important discuss but only as it pertains to the conversation surrounding choice and bodily autonomy. I’m childfree by choice and have been married for 17 years. Now I’ve had my fare share of people share their opinion about my choice and I really don’t care. I would never shame someone for their choice to have kids but people seem to think they should have a say in my life. Funny how that works. I say all that to say there are a lot of people who have kids and treat them so poorly even harm them. We should all be seeking to do what’s best for our lives and not creating life just out of obligation or duty.

Don’t think about it too much, the question are you ready for kids and if you’re just get on with it.

I enjoyed this.. children are a blessing The Bible says they are Heritage of the Lord The fruit of the Womb a reward😊.. And just from experience after I became a Christian God destroyed all those generational curses from my life to God be the glory.. And I believe you guys will be awesome parents and you're doing a wonderful job on this Platform bless you

D & M my experience is that children are financially draining, they exhaust you emotionally and physically and when they are asleep you can get some ‘me’ time, however, it’s all worthwhile when they give you a hug, a cute comment or a smile that reciprocates their love in return. You two will have beautiful children🥰. Ps; Mitch I’ve got tickets for Roger Waters at the 02 next month. Can’t wait I love Pink Floyd 🥰

Love the podcast. Having kids is amazing. I love being a Mom. It is a challenge (lost sleep, economic impacts, body changes and fatigue).Yes the biological clock is real! The best time to have a child is when you are economically and emotionally mature. If a person has a selfish nature, parenting may not be for them. You are the first and last teacher for life. Just remember you are raising adults, not children - and have fun. I don't regret it at all. It is the greatest love you will ever have,

Also idk why so many people over think having children anymore. This wasn’t a thing in the past. I believe it should be a thoughtful decision- time and financially..but generational trauma and what not. Just be a good parent. No one is perfect and life isn’t a dream. All you can do is your best.

Let me say.....If u spend your entire life together then kids are an extension of you. Remember this though...u can not be afraid to say NO to them, or it will be hard to keep them grounded. And that might mean punishing yourselves. There is a reason why SPOILING IS the ruining of something. Remember it will be for their betterment.

You can want kids for the same reason as someone who regrets and you not regret it. It’s not selfish to want to have your own extended family line. We wanted to make a beautiful human who is part him and part me. Love raising her and caring for her. She is my best friend, hang out travel buddy. She is now 43 an only child who has not found Mr. Right and wants kids but refuses to do it alone and therefore will more than like never be a parent so I won’t be a grandmother 😢

I like for you guys to do a topic on travel, like do you too want to travel internationally? I have more so I will save that for later. I like this topic you guys could do a part 2 I will scratch out this topic.

It took my sister 8 years to get pregnant, I wouldn’t wait too long.

I don’t regret it for a second. My daughter is the best thing to ever happen to me. I think for people who regret or envy those who don’t is because 1. They had them too young 2. They don’t have a strong partner in helping raise the kid. 3. They had too many too close together. I want at least 3 years between kids due to wanting to enjoy as many moments as possible not be stressed out. Some people can do the big family thing with no stress. That is not me lol.

It’s good to find you guys on YT again after a long time. It seems that you guys have moved. Where are you located nowadays. Are you still in Texas? How is each of your spiritual walk with God at this time? I notice that Destiny tends to use curse words quite readily. I’m not sure if she knows that there’s a scripture in Psalms that states that he who likes to curse, the curse will return to his belly. Also in the New Testament.: Let no corrupt/filthy communication proceed out of your mouth. Maybe it’s an area that she’s working on with the Lord to change. Besides it’s disrespectful to the person you’re in conversation with. It’s good that you’re discussing these issues out loud now before having children. Don’t forget to bring your concern / decision to the Lord together in prayer & wait for His peace. Consult with Christian counsel let’s & child experts along with reading good godly written material about this subject. What & how does God see children? Ultimately we’re here to please God & not just ourselves.
