I have three computers and some other electronic devices I use for my business (I'm a freelance musician & composer, and a radio engineer). I heard that bed bus are repelled by a steady sine wave tone at 7-8kHz. My equipment can easily generate this sound. Will this produce a desirable result? But aren’t the pest strips extremely poisonous? I was going to buy one and putting my objects in a bag with it as the video says, but the pest trips I’m seeing on Amazon aren’t meant to be used around people?
How about placing electronics in a tightly sealed plastic box (something like tupperware), spreading DE and using a pesticide or receptacle with hot water and a CO2 source ( alkaseltzer/yeast) to flush them out? Also in my experience with bed bugs I found they do enter electronics.
My elderly mom had bedbugs...put encasement bags on mattress and box spring, would smash any found daily, would throw all bedding in dryer consistently. ..some would keep coming back for about a year !? Finally realized...the bedbugs were IN THE OLD SCHOOL PUSH BUTTON LANDLINE TELEPHONE she keeps right on the bed!? Sprayed harris bed bug spray in from bottom and put DE in there....what a battle! Bye Bye Bedbugs!!
I went to a Do-It-Yourself Pest Control place it was an individual owner he gave me a product called Alpine I followed the directions I put three packets of Alpine pesticide and one bottle of egg killer prescribed by the Do-It-Yourself Pest Control person I did three treatments every treatment was 14 days apart the chemical works really good it's all my bed bug problem I live in Florida where is a very tropical climate I bought a mobile home and some of the furniture was left there there were bed bugs and roaches and spiders the product works very well it has been a year-and-a-half I have not seen any bed bugs roaches or spiders in a year-and-a-half I take that back I spray my house once a year and I never see any types of bugs roaches nothing's crawling around it is a very good pesticide takes care of everything the Do-It-Yourself Pest Control place West Bay Drive Largo Florida look up their number the owner is very knowledgeable and gives good instructions on how to mix and how to treat your house I hope this information has been helpful to you I didn't remove my bed I left my clothes where they were at I did not take anything out of the house I treated the house three times for bed bugs and roaches the owner of the pest control told me 2 times would be sufficient but I decided to do three treatments hope this information helps you anyone that has a bed bug problem or roach problem or spider problem it helped me
Most electronics are designed to withstand certain amounts of heat to begin with. Filter Caps (Capacitors) will have a heat temp printed on them so that can be an indicator of how hot the unit can get. I like the non heat ideas though better. Maybe a hair dryer or heat gun in small doses depending on what it is your trying to save? I have a home studio and a bed bug problem in master bedroom. So I have a legit fear of this problem getting out of hand. I HATE these gross critters! YUK!!
