Sticks is a very satisfyingly competent horror protagonist, not something you see too often in horror media. the boat-clutch in complete darkness, the idea to hide from the lights in a redstone contraption, the nether portal... gotta give him some props EDIT: of course he does a triple neo lmao
My only gripe with him so far is that around halfway through the vid as he’s following the signs he completely forgets what he just said about misdirection. He doesn’t know aqer placed them and he completely ignored everything else. At one point there’s a flash of light somewhat far from him and he doesn’t even notice. He also wastes tool durability mining dirt with an axe
My favorite thing about this is that Sticks is an unreliable narrator, weather because he doesn't know everything or just doesn't care about the details. He says offhandedly that Ordisi could be Aqer's alt, completely missing the fact that Veil also got Bedrock.zip from *Ordisi.* Whoever this is, they're unrelated to any of the other characters we've met. There's also the way he analyzed the clip of someone walking through the red arch. From what I see, it looks like that clip was actually just the end of Veil's video with Zeemyth's audio over it. I think perhaps Zeemyth never actually made it to the red arch. At least not the same one Veil found. I also just like how the difference in personality helps distinguish our two characters apart despite them having the same voice. Zeemyth was precise and methodical, while Sticks would prefer to brute force his way though.
I can imagine bedrock.zip speedruns being ruined by bad wall rng. 'Everything was going well until the walls didn't give the most efficient pattern and i was stuck going through another hallway for another # seconds which robbed me of my world record."
bro I was texting my friends and I randomly said "I am cold" when I was at around the 21:28 mark AND THE TEXT AT THE BOTTOM BEING "I feel colder too" SCARED THE FUCK OUT OF ME
@@ILikePizza950 no no, I was texting on discord (should've clarified that I didn't say the thing out loud but rather texted it) and I had the video paused before the text was typed in the video. I would like to think that it was just very odd coincidence XD
You know what disturbs me the most? They're alone. Except for the headlights and a creeper or whatever, they are absolutely alone. Also the half doors section is so house of leaves I love it so much
i love how much he made the half doors his own thing too, with the half doors being tie-ins to the veil smp, and how it conveniently allows a block above to be filled to remove an easy exit
At 59:06, he gets a Steam notification that someone named "good question" is playing Turing Complete. Turing complete is a currently unfinished puzzle game about building computers, and the name "good question" makes me wonder if that connects to 'Not asking the right questions". May just be looking into nothing, I don't know
For those interested, the illustration at 50:24 is one of Gustave Dore's woodcut illustrations for Dante's Divine Comedy. It depicts the very beginning of the Inferno, where Dante is attempting to ascend a mountain but is turned back by a Leopard (then a lion, then a wolf, not depicted) and is at that point forced to 'detour' through hell, which sets up the whole poem. Makes sense to be there, seeing as Sticks had just made the portal to the nether.
@@G-Cole-01 good catch, i didnt even think of that. aqer is another reference to underworld rivers, acheron being the entrance to the underworld, or charon being the one who ferries souls to the land of the dead. considering aqer has enabled both zeemyth and sticks to enter the world file, the parallels are pretty on the nose.
Ok so, we have: Sticks, which is a homonym for Styx, a River in hades, who uses boats and water to get into the nether (basically hell) References to Sisyphus. Aqer (Acheron), another river in hades. References to Dante’s Inferno. And chthonic, cyclopean architecture made entirely of the deepest stone in the game. I thinks it’s clear that we’re in hell, or at least some sorta underworld.
I figured out what this story best reminds me of, concept wise. The repeated themes of "The Flytrap" gave me a sorta Jimmy Neutron 'brain blast' moment. As I recalled reading something a long time ago as a child, having discovered such thing in middle school.. I believe. The "Dionaea House". A living impossible space, in multiple locations at once, accessible to many beings despite not directly interacting. An impossible trap, a *hungry* trap. Designed to keep you trapped for as *long as possible.* I know it says it's inspired by the House of Leaves, but I can't help but draw connections.
House of leaves insanity reached. Three levels of investigation and curiosity. This sticks guy? He's our Johnny Truant. Albeit, much nicer than Mr Truant....
This is why I shouldn’t be scrolling through comments while watching a youtube video 😭 (i accidentally spoiled the immersion for myself with your comment 💔)
Something I’ve thought about in the past though not specifically Minecraft and also not necessarily just a single arg either they’d review several nonexistent ones that come together to form a greater whole or several existing ones but have them diverge from their real counterparts to achieve the same
the idea of a piece of architecture using people's curiosity to lure them in, acting as a kind of venus fly trap is so cool. i just finished watching for the first time and haven't done any sort of real analysis yet, so take this with a grain of salt, but i feel like there's no big secret actually hidden under the red arch. all of the clues, all of the things drawing people in are like the sweet scent of sugar coating strips of paper. they go through, and then they disappear, and leave behind a mystery that some poor soul just can't help but want to solve. adore your videos, man. so many cool ideas here, and great execution. there's so much clear effort and thought put into this series, as well as love for the genre. big shoutout to fucked up minecraft locations.
This reminds me one theory about the House of Leaves (one of the inspirations of Bedrock.Zip). This theory says the House doesn't doesn't have anything of special, except the Unknown. And, since there is nothing inside the house, it uses actually imagination and curiosity of anyone who entered through a certain hall to build rooms and events, with the goal of keeping its victims inside its walls for a very long moment. And since the place is nonsensical (with the non-euclidean geometry, the ambient darkness, etc...) and since the Unknown is beyond any knowledge, it makes its victims wondering more about what actually it hides (and like this, the House generates more rooms again and again because, there is currently nothing).
Seeing the parkour tower appear was fucking nuts. I also really liked that section underground with all the huge pillars, reminds me of the foundation from CONTROL!
@@machtalaterrouge Is that a theory? Seems more like text than subtext to me. I'm currently reading House of Leaves and so far like three separate characters have railed about how the House's labyrinth is a Nothing-place, a void that devours not for a purpose but because it can, rambling off in random directions with increasingly bizarre shapes because, for some forsaken reason, we think it SHOULD. Heck, the first couple of pages are filled with various warnings against curiosity for curiosity's sake, against digging too deeply and scratching the surface too hard. The first encounters with [REDACTED FOR FUTURE READERS] heavily suggest that it's being actively created by fear of the unknown. In short: the House doesn't exist. By existing in it, we force it to become. Once it has begun, once it has tasted of existence, it cannot abide nonexistence any longer. It craves existence no matter how much it hurts and will do whatever it takes to retain it. You. Now If you're actually referring to the part in the book where Old Man Zampano describes the Navidson Record and analyzes the House as containing Nothing but the Unknown... I apologize. You're absolutely right that that's the running in-universe theory.
Let me tell you something: I just got house of leaves for my birthday, and seeing that the FIRST GODDAMN WORDS are “this is not for you” hit me with such whiplash I can’t even describe it.
ending on deftones was such a good move, especially with the echo and filter. this is insane. halfway through the video i got interested and looked at the description and saw it at the end of the music list. so glad i never skipped ahead.
Beautiful. Commands betraying you, bedrock everywhere, random damage, exploits/glitches about bedrock (which already felt wrong), hopeless parkour jumps, skyblock imagery... Minecraft in ANY depiction has never felt more hostile.
lots of "House of Leaves" inspired stuff lately, this, the "MyHouse.Wad" DOOM arg thing (Idk if ARG is the right word for that one in particular but whatever lol)
this youtuber has been underrated for far too long, i'm glad to see his cinema and short films/short movies are improving. i didnt even know how he did his first works, and he's improving rapidly. glad to see he's getting the subs and views he deserves.
i like to think that the white door breaks down the people that tries to find it then rebuild them to how it sees fit, i also like how sticks commisioned for a flashlight instead of using full bright
When a world is ill, its wardens listen: with a glow eternal, and heart beat arrythmic. You can hear this worlds pulse, its shuddering breath. Wardens turned hostile, the immune system reflects. The player, the invader, the system assaulting in every measure, it listens and adapts, outside tools providing clues, a flashlight from physics creates moving parts, all of this performed with a single, dying, heart.
This is such a cool arg The whole file, Bedrock.Zip, reminds me of "Blame!", like if you asked an AI to build a house with only bedrock and gave it only the most basic idea of a house with no restrictions. And the lamp eye face thing? That's creepy. I already got PTSD from the projector head from BATIM, this is that jacked to the max. If it's even possible, I'm begging you to make this a world for people to play and try their own crack at. I wanna play this!
Dude, I also got the Blame! vibes from this lol. The megastructures and the wandering that can feel endless when you lose direction.. I almost felt like it was a direct inspiration other than House of Leaves which everyone keeps bringing up.
Two things that I haven't noticed anybody mention yet, although I'm not sure if they're intentional or just conincidences. As Sticks approaches the pyramid and walks into the flytrap room (7:48) Zeemyth starts to punch the air, almost as if he's trying to warn Sticks not to go in. When the light appears down the hallway during the Minostaur section (11:50), Sticks appears to log onto the server, even though he's already online.
this is entirely unimportant to a fun video series from three months ago but when you started quoting "The Waste Land" ("If there were water and no rock") i genuinely stopped the video and leaped with excitement. i fucking LOVE that poem dude
@@Zeemyth it's genuinely just so incredible. i am constantly thinking about it. the way it casts this surreal almost apocalyptic landscape scarred by the trauma of war is just... GOD... What the Thunder Said (and I *did* catch you briefly referencing it in that journal at the end) is definitely one of my favorite parts, but huge agree on "I think we are in rat's alley / where dead men lost their bones" i'm so jealous lmao. i've wanted a good excuse to incorporate Waste Land imagery in my writing for so long. one day.
-Hears about this zeemyth guy and how the narrator doesn’t seem to believe how cheesy his stuff is -check the channel of this video -zeemyth is talking about himself
15:16 zeemyth typing out "/give water_bucket" 15:38 "/effect zeemyth" at 26:05 an entire chat log is visible, stuff about "taking my ears and burning them", "where is the bottom", etc
At 22:29 you can also see the chat log or the messages in the corner, which are basically all the stuff zeemyth said before but also"local game hosted on port 52084".. it might be just a usless detail tho lmao
I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but if you read the chat in flytrap while Stick is exploring, it seems like Zeemyth can sense that something is going on and will react to it, or influence it, like at 17:41. That is some amazing detailing, awesome job.
Thank you totally real and non-Zeemyth person Sticks for making and uploading this video for your own channel about this amazing ARG not made by you at all. You can tell you’re not Zeemyth because right after you get the map DM at 11:53 a second you joins, which makes it twice as much made by you.
Perfect. Most digital horrors that use youtube as its canonical device that try and show those who try and investigate it are obvious to be a part of the world. This, thankfully, immerses you to a point where you forget this analysis is a part of the creator's channel, and you get surprised by such a reveal. And the music. The music is not just the suger on the cream, its a whole new layer on the cake. Amazing work, one of the most underrated channels ive seen.
22:37 ironic how sticks talks about the answer being in your peripheral vision while you can literally see zeemyth’s(?) perspective in the corners of the screen…
Love how you took the inconsistencies and plotholes from the previous video (intentional or not, idk) and used them as plot points for this one. I was invested the whole way through!
At Veill SMP 111, you can see his tool bar and item in his hand have a sort of “ghost” effect, other items like a trapdoor are overlapping. His health bar is also taking damage, and in the chat box there is a conversation going on, Zemeth says that “everything keeps freezing”, “Noises get louder”, “----- burning in the river”
Something interesting about aqer's base is, despite the base obviously being recently occupied, by aqer, the ladders are in a pre release or early release formation due to a bug, which i might be overthinking, but that might mean something, i also have an additional theory in which i think maybe the cones of light that periodically show up are simply alternate versions of sticks himself.
17:35 Zeemyth in flytrap types “/say this is”, right after that the RU-vidr says “this is”. I’m gonna check if there are other instances like this. 18:52 Sticks theorizes that, based on Zeemyth’s video, there’s a fair/unfair challenge of sorts. Zeemyth types “lol”, seemingly in response.
I just wanted to point out that the 3rd last section is named Ashtree Dim and it's just so similar to AshTree Lane from The House of Leaves. EDIT: Yeah that's another The House of Leaves video game adaptiation
I just love the fact that sticks was so aware of distractions just to fall straight into one into a point where he could no longer return falling into the same trap as the world adapted it eventualy found that sticks was looking for witch was answers and that is what it used against him eventualy trapping him and only at the end he had knew he was caught with all he can focus on is his past or is the trap his memories trapping him it maybe we will never know
The second I saw that second vod in the background I was immediately like “this mf is gonna do something with that” AND OF COURSE HE STARTS SENDING MESSAGES AS I WAS KEEPING AN EYE ON IT. Also that Steam notification to someone playing a game throws me off, but also intrigued me. Why keep it it? Why wasn’t it cut out? Was the notifications on for a certain reason? My brain is melting
@devy_max : At 59:06, he gets a Steam notification that someone named "good question" is playing Turing Complete. Turing complete is a currently unfinished puzzle game about building computers, and the name "good question" makes me wonder if that connects to 'Not asking the right questions". May just be looking into nothing, I don't know
This actually made me shed a few tears at the end, all i have to say is that your cinematography for a funny block game is truly astonishing, even though i may have missed alot (and probably will have to rewatch this); i am impressed and seriously want to see more of this amazing content
Thank you for releasing this video man, ive been waiting for a while because this Minecraft arg got me curious and interested into the story.. So thank you for the 1 hour vid man
@@Zeemyth no way Zeemyth!! I'm actually working on a vid about bedrock.zip rn, I'm gonna try and join the server to hopefully find a clue. I have a 'fake' bedrock.zip world set up in case I can't find the original.
1:08:53 Holy shit wait a change in the “house of flies” IM CRYING DUDE HOLY SHIT THIS IS A MASTERPIECE SEVERALLY UNDERESTIMATED YOU SAYING MOVIE LEVEL DURING 42:26
That skyblock clip near the end and the music played through that whole scene (and other tracks too) were just incredible touches and fantastic choices for the immersion tbh. Amazing work with this entire video!
i am never gonna be able to listen to change (in the house of flies) the same way again. the way you told it, the perspective of story telling, narration while also in context like you're experiencing the sight for the first time. the way your movement gets more frantic, more anxious the longer it goes on makes it feel, real. you sir, are amazing. you have made an absolute masterpiece.
Came for the mystery, stayed for the sick bucket and boat saves. Like, honestly i'm more impressed by the way sticks get out of the bedrock trap than the whole spoopy stuff going on.
This might be, no joke, my favorite minecraft video on the platform. The first bedrock.zip was already pretty good, and it kept me glued to my screen the entire time. What I really liked about that video was the exploration aspect, really felt like discovering some strange and alien location alongside you. This video doubles down on the exploration angle even more than the first one it feels, which I enjoy greatly. This type of video, the "house of leaves feels" kind, are pretty rarely well done, and horror in minecraft is especially fickle when it comes to quality. They'll usually go very well and then faceplant in the middle, but this video avoids the pitfall (mainly by not having random obnoxious jumpscares). It's a bit hard to describe in detail what I like specifically about the video, the words do not come to me, but that's also something I enjoy about it, it's a very specific feeling that has been conveyed perfectly.
im a huge fan of how "curated" bz1 is compared to bz2, bz2 is almost messy at times, and especially with how sticks breaks walls with boats it feels like you've clipped out of where you're meant to be even more
im so fucking happy that this finally came out i cant wait to watch the whole thing. you truly are a masterclass in horror content development, far higher quality, storytelling, and acting than i've seen on almost any other minecraft unfiction channel
An arg analysis video that adds to the arg, unique! And anyone else realise the signs around midway are a code? Thats all im saying, zeemyth you did great work! (And so did you sticks)
Can't believe our boy Sticks25 really made it to the door..? I'm not even gonna pretend I understand any of whats going on here but I can appreciate the visuals, the sound, the story - didn't even feel like an hour. The editing really popped off in this one, I mean this is miles more immersive and captivating than the first. Awesome work man
@@DreerKarler I don't think there even IS a door in Sticks' copy of the world. It's established Bedrock is alive, probably sentient and ever-changing. The door flooding with golden light was simply its 'lure' to draw Sticks further in, because he became so single-mindedly obsessed with finding it that what it meant didn't even matter anymore. The 44-minute 'the flytrap' level where you fall endlessly to me is the culmination of Bedrock's abilities, and you only find it once it has fully ensnared and crushed you of all hope of solving the 'mystery' that never existed to begin with
There was no door to begin with i think, that's just a mechanism of the Bedrock to lure the prey, just like how Veils dissappeared after going through the door, or when Zee got trapped in the flytrap. That scene probably represents that Sticks gives up and accepts his fate.
What a surreal and amazing experience. I quite honestly hope this isn't the end of the Bedrock.zip story (and especially hope this isn't the last we see of Sticks)
fantastic work. loving this arg so far. music choices are great. trying to find interesting / wierd niche stuff (i'll miss a lot of things, and other comments probably cover some of this): 02:44 - Voice volume dips when Stick says "Aqer" 12:00 - Green light (Minostaur?) notices Sticks right when Download button is clicked in Discord 14:30 - looks like flytrap walls? 14:45 - more flytrap walls? from a different section? 16:02 through 16:15 - music cuts out, sounds like flytrap ambience with the banging echos. i don't think this happened previously in video. Check for flytrap audio sync? 20:05 - Notably, the parkour map was open to Multiplayer LAN previously in the video, see window title during "02:35 - The Right Questions Left". 21:07 - The popups are styled like Windows 95, yet the Minecraft windows are styled like Windows 10. How old is bedrock zip? Also, as pointed out by @mozarteanchaos, Sticks says what Zeemyth just typed in flytrap. 23:28 - "all those commentary videos just felt so empty" What does Sticks mean by this? More hidden videos? 25:38 - Sticks starts to "freeze"/stutter similar to Veil2_'s footage and flytrap (i think). 27:21 - This indoor area is similar to Zeemyth's bedrock zip in bedrock 1, probably more syncs that I missed. 28:27 - I thiiiiiiink this sign says "your" again but not sure. @kaydenrix says it's nothing which is probably correct and my image editing skills stink so yeah it's nothing lol. 33:06 - Notepad over Minecraft, starts to track maze just like Zeemyth in bedrock 1 (see 08:55 in bedrock 1). 34:55 - Green fog reminds me of green light / Minostaur? from 12:00. 35:08 - oh hey look it's the green lights / Minostaurs from 12:00. Maybe I should watch the whole video THEN write these lol 35:28 - person on right in grainy footage? Is this the real life Sticks? Or the lights? 37:46 - Looks like Zeemyth's chest stairs from bedrock 1 38:54 - Sticks' voice is back! Sticks is muted for the entirety of "32:03 - THE MAZE" 40:00 - "I may have not shown you everything" classic misdirection. 45:31 - flytrap ends, assuming we start it at 01:28 like in the video. Although the ending implies this doesn't mean much, since it shows the poem Zeemyth writes in flytrap long after it would've happened if the videos were synced. 46:58 - Sticks avoids swearing. Probably just for RU-vid, could be important, or it's good acting. idk 48:38 - Weird sound effects? Probably resource pack, but when Sticks switches to axe there's a weird click woosh? sound 50:00 - Corruption erupts. there were static blips around the video for the past 15 minutes or so. Interesting that it's at exactly 50 minutes. 50:06 - Is that the AI generated Minecraft video? 50:20 - In the dark, there's a face on the left and somebodies' hair(?) on the right. 53:12 - "Yanis gave me a flashlight". So Yanis somehow changed the world? Or does bedrock zip allow modded clients? I thought Zeemyth using shaders was just an aesthetic choice but maybe it's relevant to the ARG? 56:20 - Sticks opens 29 doors. Looks back at doors 7 and 19. Probably means nothing but ehhh 57:02 - very quiet door sound (first one?) bedrock zip is not too pleased 59:08 - "Good question" is playing "Turing complete". Is a Steam user part of this arg? Good question. 1:02:24 - Sticks is muted during all of "53:11 - Ashtree Dim" 1:05:45 - this big flat bedrock plane reminds me a lot of the Nether 1:08:45 - in the dark, there is somebody / something on the right. Maybe long hair? (Yuri?) general thoughts / questions: - Why doesn't Sticks acknowledge Zeemyth's sync / loop with Veil2_? Perhaps the moment you start digging, you're already trapped... - i see the "/give command works, why not use other op commands?" comments from bedrock 1 were not only addressed, but given an awesome twist by using the "different rules" commands to solve problems. great stuff. - "Yuri" and "Aqer" both have 4 letters. Is it a cypher? (I think this was suggested in flytrap comments but maybe im crazy lol) - who (in the arg) is editing these videos? the use of a video player and notepad in this and bedrock 1, and layering footage is interesting. Notepad, popups, and video player implies this is a screen recording... Maybe I'm overthinking this? idk - the water rising at 19:48 makes me think the "Zeemyth is drowing" theories are on to something. - who is running around the SMP? Why does that never come up again? Might want to look through the smp footage to see if player locations sync with Sticks movement, but could be nothing or something for another video
Tne reason the lights chased you is because you didn’t play by the rules. Since the very beginning. You didn’t go into the stronghold. You didn’t solve the puzzles. You broke through them, thats why the lights came after you. Thats why the world wasn’t “meant for you”. And thats why it hurt you.*
This series is the closest I think we'll ever get to a HoL adaptation! After finishing I feel like i need to rewatch both again (when i finished the book i immediately started a second reread too) you created a masterpiece and I love it. Great work!
This and MyHouse. there's a really cool video covering MyHouse.WAD that sort of adds to the story. forgor what its called. "breaking down the secrets of MyHouse"? idk but this series reminds me of it.
While all of this is amazing and I'm still not sure what I just watched, I had to say this one thing: Deftones - Change and the "Queen of the Damned" vibes you just caused paired with the footage hit hard. I don't know where exactly, but it hit.
I ain't gonna lie the build of these is insane. Like I can't even fathom the amount of work these people do with the bedrock. And the editing is incredible too. You earned my sub
Deadass thought this was a documentary in the 1st video, and now im hooked. This is amazing bro. Props to you Sticks and not Zeemyth for being brave enough to venture down this very scary arg made by Zeemyth who is a different person than sticks
Hey mate, just discovered your channel today and I have to say, you are one of the most talented storyteller/writer/editor I've seen on this entire site. This channel is criminally underrated, but you earned my sub! Good luck on your future projects, I'm looking forward to whatever you do next!
You never miss on your endings Zeemyth, they always go so fire and genuinely leave an impact on me, especially on your Bedrock.zip series. I still remember the first video, and I kept thinking about how good the ending was. Absolutely 10/10 content man, a gem of a channel. Seriously dude, keep up the great work. You deserve more views. One of my favourite RU-vidrs in general now. On a side note, those bedrock pillars moving up and down reminded me of the campfire video, pretty neat. I'm gonna have to analyze this video in more depth later to actually better understand what's going on, because right now I'm running on two braincells. Also I didn't even realise the chat in the background video was a distraction until after I read a few comments pointing that and Stick's monologue of distractions out, very clever 💀
This was gas, I've never had a youtube video ever capture my interest like this before, one of the best ARGs I have ever had the pleasure of watching imo
LOL it was me, these macabre art styles for thumbs really make an impression on people and I really like splicing stock images to get some strange horror art
Its cool that you have all your inspirations for these videos in your tags. I definitely can see the Disrupt and Nexpo inspiration in how you present the story. Man I really need to read House of Leaves. I love how abstract this all is
@@derpkipper if you havent read HoL by now, absolutely go do so. id been sitting on it because of myhouse.wad but this pushed me to read it and it's 100% worth it. incredible book.
This was the greatest screen writing i have seen in a long time. Id say up there with interstellar. How i was grasped by it the whole time. Unbelievably good
Mannn thank you 😩 I don’t think it’s up there for a few reasons but that’s probably my biggest inspiration for high level emotional writing and just spectacle so it means a lot
i love the wasteland references in this. im still putting together a comment with all my findings but there is so much shit here to put together it's absurd haha. love this stuff, im hoping im not wasting my time translating the bedrockzip picture file text by hand hahaaa
I honestly clicked on this thinking "another spooky minecraft video wow 🙄" which i took back instantly because you have by far the most captivating storytelling i've seen in a long time that had me just staring at the screen quietly for almost the whole runtime of the video
This showed up in my recommended. I have no idea what is going on or what the background of it is. But it is giving me ideas for the cosmic horror stories I write.
Hey don’t know if you’ll see this but this shit is sick asf. Please keep making more because this really taunts my mind and I can only assume it does the same for others. The music and cinematography is excellent, as well as the idea. The idea of a giant, dystopian, brutalist world that adapts is something that is genius. Keep up the good work!
54:00 my man could have turned off his shaders and would have seen just fine. minecraft's darkness is never truly black. he commissioned a mod to fix a problem his other mod made.
Leaving a comment for the algorithm, holy shit this is so well made. The pacing, camera shots, theming, all of the surreal and cosmic horror elements sprinkled throughout, the inspirations, all wrapped up in that lovely Zeemyth insanity. What an incredible movie. Also I didn't see anyone else mention this, but the lights look like Stick's flashlight, maybe implying they're some remnant of Sticks after all this, other players, or maybe even another timeloop? Pretty wacky to think about, but awesome.
I absolutely loved this short movie, The twist was great but the theme of this story, or the moral, was the thing that caught me. I paused the ending part just to read what he had to say. Keep up the good work Zeemyth!
51:25 My man playing the Minecraft of Leaves over here. The Dark Place looking world over here, "Spirals within spirals" and all... Very entertaining video overall, with a unique atmosphere I haven't seen here on youtube!
Whoever said sequels can't be better than the original never met you, absolutely amazing job tying the story together. You honestly convinced me to get House of Leaves and read it, and I'm excited to see if I understand anything more about this after reading it, such a masterful job at telling a cohesive and well thought out story that genuinely feels fully connected and masterfully directed. As someone who is very disturbed by horror, there were genuine times when I had to click off this video (the hunt of sticks by the lighted figure) but every single time I was pulled back in by your masterful storytelling and detail akin to that of a visual novel but in documentary form. Genuinely one of the most immersive horror experiences I have ever seen, amazing job zee- I mean sticks25!!! LOL
😭this actually means the world to me, even though I was and am worried about the story being much more vague and non-progressal focused, it’s just such good news to see that you and others love it so much 🫡
@@Zeemyth honestly man, i think the fact that its non-progressal works great, not every story needs a perfect ending (especially in horror), and the implication that this is something you really cant do anything about works well for what you are going for, imo
the most wise man..sticks may have not survived this journey but he might have solved it..he has gotten the furthest if just not have solved it...he is the man that gave the most clues to this..he was smart enough to use glitches and rules to his advantage. We don't know if he's alive but he is a legend.. Edit:ty for 1 like apreceate it plus its my highest one yet
After seeing your style of horror and ARGs, nothing else cuts it anymore. It has everything, unique screenplay + ideas, literary ties (to some of the best works mind you), philosophical statements, bleeding edge stylisation, composition and technical feats for the genre... I could go on. Every one of your vids is a nuclear blast of everything above and more. The slightly avant-garde nature of it just tops it off. God tier. I no longer need to spend an eternity searching the Library of Babel for the perfect works, instead I can come here. To Zeemyth.
