If this is actually his first time playing live, then it is pretty impressive. There’s a world of difference between playing live practicing/recording at home, and people usually get super in their head the first time they play live, causing them to play at like 40% of their normal skill level. Approved.

Outstanding. I remember learning the les version of just the intro to master when I was 15, but blending the vocal melody in was genius. Its entertaining just to see how you play with the timing of both melodies to mesh them together into your slap/pop rhythm. But I gotta say, I was really excited to hear what you did with the slow interlude part and the big pounding build up afterward, and both were left out ;_;. Can you do a vid later making an arrangement for the whole tune? (Also it would have been Super hype if 2set had done the vocal melodies on violin and you did the rhythm and guitar leads. Potential for next time?)

A super show..truly privileged to have attended it. Great performances by Davie and Two Set Violin. Never thought I'd hear Beethoven, Metallica, Leonard Cohen and Paganini performed live in the same show.

Most youtube musicians who try to play live fail hard. It's a whole different ballgame when you can't practice your takes until you get it perfect. Good job Davie, you've ascended.

The fact that you can play just as well live proves you're the real deal, some RU-vid musicians are only good after 5 takes

I brought my 11yo and 6yo girls to watch you and TwoSet play at star vista. You guys were fantastic. We first started watching TwoSet, then were introduced to you by the violin chan saga, and were super entertained by it (remember the episode they taught you to play violin, you were so tall your face wasn't in the frame, and brett eddy were laughing). If not for this collab, my girls would likely never be exposed to bass playing. Now they can identify bass by sight and sound, and they hum smoke on water in the shower. We've watched countless of your videos, from your coffin dance covers, to you trying out 200+ basses, to you on fiverr supporting musicians, to you trolling on omegle. You have indeed accomplished your mission of introducing the bass to everyone, even little girls and their moms. Awesome job, dude. Rock on!

Really proud of you. This is such a big step. Not like you were in ANY way "lesser" for being in your bedroom doing your thing, but if you haven't ever played in front of people, it's just such a different thing. Every little mistake lights up. Every anxiety pushes to the top of your skull and threatens to drown out your plans. Also, that's the coolest Master of Puppets I've ever heard.
