Hey Terp, try painting the walls with a mold and meldew preventer like Kilz paint. Also replace that rotten door in the room. You can also try using an air purifier in there to see if the air quality improves and helps the plants. Other than that it seems you have everything else in check.

There is mold in the , look at the door to the right of the plant shelf. That’s rotten. So there has been a problem there before that hasn’t been correctly sanitized, so there is spores for fungus in the air.

I work for insurance. All wood in that apartment will have to be taken out. You can get/rent meters/instrument’s to measure for fungus in the air/ wall/ wood If it is fungus, your plants will die

My 2 cents: At 80°F and ~80% Humidity, you have a VPD of 0.15 which is very very low. At seedlings I usually run a high humidity too, but only for the first week. The later plants need a higher VPD to be able to transpire or else their whole metabolism is shutting down. I can't say that this is your problem, but the high humidity can be the problem here for the larger plants. If the leaves can't transpire water, the plant can't transport new nutrients from the roots to the leaves. (And of course: 80% in the whole room is recipe for mold - but I don't think that mold is the issue) And another thing that came to my mind, after seeing the round spots on the leaves: Make sure to rule out Leaf Septoria, which is a fungus - which grows easily in a very humid environment.

In my humble opinion, these are fungal diseases, it may be Septoria or even Verticillium if it comes to the leaves dying without yellow spots, best regards

Hi bro, I will think more about bacteria in your room. And also see the 2 wood doors are fully molded. Plastic doors would be better and safer. Maybe big cleaning and scrubbing on floor, walls and celling.. Hope you find the way the fix it 🙏🏼

Great video, helped me a lot. In the next run I will switch from soil to coco and do my first experiments with coco. What I find very interesting is that you use an EC of 2.6 for seedlings, wow. In all fertilizer schemes and forums a maximum EC of 0.6-0.8 is recommended so as not to destroy the seedlings. I would have thought that seedlings would survive such a high EC. I am excited to see how my first run on coco goes. Best wishes

You might consider painting the outside concrete wall white -- it will help prevent the wall from getting too hot from the sun & transferring that heat into the room.

Have you rinsed the coco before using it? There could be salt buildup which would show signs like what you are experiencing in your plants.

Amend your coco with a little biodynamic compost dry amendments and little sand silt and clay and don't forget the worms to the plants LOVE them

Thank you for the show of pheno hunt video I like the scientific and testing new or comparison videos especially with growing. Looks sort root bound young plants grew fast even under the soil media and coco is very touchy subject maybe you should of done little higher PH level and all plants different and reacts differently but root bound one issues i think. Sometimes early grow stage when issues happening like over nutrients weong PH or health last ditch efforts is repotting the plants help alot issues and with coco media very touchy subject. And you refering to the room issues and other building plants doing better but what a sad circumstances things happen you grow from it and God bless you and take care.💜🌴

It the cal mag, ph and to much nutes for sure. The spots on your leaves are caused by cal mag deficiency. The curling and becoming crispy and death is caused by nitrogen burn.

You can install EPS boards in the wall that get direct sun light, it will drop the temp inside by 5ºC at least and keep the humidity inside.

You need to find an air quality lab and have them come and test I would get some laquer and paint that wall and maby use some killz after that will seal the wall from off gassing

Laquor paint is said to work the same I used it on burnt timbers after a fire in a converted barn originally built in the teens and after I sprayed it on pretty heavy coat there was no smell and it was awful before if you have to stay it would be worth a try

i have no clue what this is but where and how do you store your water and what dissenfectant did you clean the water tanks with?it looks like your plants are being drained.ususlly a salt issue with your medium that draws out the nutrients and fluids instead of allowing the plant to take up the fluids.sounds like youve tried everything.

where is your water coming from? fusarium loves still water. that looks like it could be a form of it. fusarium grows at the base of the plant and suffocates the stalk by growing its mycelium 100% through the stem essentially cutting off the stalk from the roots. the plant is no longer capable of picking up nutrients or water because the fungus has dissected the plant.

flush em out with a lower ec dude im sure it will fix issue also if had bugs possibly there is still spray on the cuts from previous owner trying to get rid of the pests they had, ive found when you over spray you will get that black look on tip of leafs after few days, foilage spray them with water to wash the leaf/stems down :}

If you could get the inside air tested, we would love to see the results of that. I personally suspect way too high EC for the plants to tolerate, Front Row AG seems to have pretty high N P K numbers so maybe the feed needs to be dialed back when the plants are young?

Run a Charcoal filter without duckling in the room if its a off gas problem. if you are a sealed room you need to have full air exchange every 12 hrs or so and run co2 the rest of the time.

also consider running a sulphur burner for a couple of days after the ozone it leaves a microscopic layer of sulphur on everything giving you months of protection form spore growth.

I had a similar problem recently and couldn’t figure out what it was. So I finally increased the height of my lights. Leave yellowing and shriveling up. The recommendation was 24 inches I increased to 36 inches.

I think if it was offgas it would funk the seedlings first... i saw the same when plants were irrigated with bottled organics during high heat... my guess bacteria/fungy problems. I am sure u will fiuguered it out! Peace from Transylvania!

Brother, there is more than off-gassing going on here and I doubt it is anything off-gassing at 80% RH and no air exchange and the way some of the walls and doors look I can guarantee you have some type of mold/fungal problem and it won't get any better until those areas mentioned are addressed

Oh please give me a good reason why your aiming for 2.6ec. Most nutrient companys say 0.5-1.2 till plants hit week 2 of veg. My girls dokt see 2.6ec till mid flower. Im sure the super high nutrient load is whats killing your seedlings by burning them

brother i would recomend you put a pallet underneath the outdoor pots, because if gets too hot outside it may cause you problems with your roots getting cooked

Whenever i see my clones start to droop i usually throw the dome back on and they usually perk right up, then i slowly introduce them back to the room until they stop wilting. Could try that but im no expert by any means.

I'd get a scope out and double check the under side of those leaves. Russet mites have been crazy this year. They are soo small a reg jewelers loupe only shows the eggs so might need something stronger. . Will mess up clones and seedlings and they inject venom into the plants so some will last longer and others will die quick. They took me forever to diagnose because they looked like so many different things but takes about 2 to 3 weeks to fully get rid of them because that's their life cycle but I had those same spots on mine. Could be you need fresh air too. Seedlings only need high humidity the 1st week and then need it lower to the 70's once they r stretching. Hope you figure it out. That would be a shame if it is the walls. Also I had to bleach my walls after the mites lol they carry on the wind and get all over lol but sulfur took them out quick and then dr zymes and I bleached everything in the room lol

love the vids Terpy! just my two cents, my first instinct was to think ph/solution issues just because that looks very similar to what I went through a month ago. I did half strength and aimed for higher runoff while also dimming lights. I learnt that even though those cuts loved the higher ec, as soon as they got pissed off they couldn't stand it. Hoping it's not bacteria or some infection like some of the commenters said. best of luck g!

Had the same problem after using fresh vegetables in my soil I usually put it in the water for weeks and feed but this time I made the mistake and just put them in the soil for indoor growers put nothing but liquids in the soil we don't have all nature bugs and weather to get rid of them easy😂

Yeah thats a textbook Rhizoctonia root fungal infection. It´s kind of a problem when you´re recicling water, specially in young plants.

You should try the 4-inch fabric mesh starter Parts plastic ones never fill out with roots they always go around the sides causing too much moisture in the center root rot issues and you can't water as often so they don't grow as fast

Salt air works fine here as long as they aren't getting salt spray. We have our big medical farms on the coast in NZ. They say it helps with strength and bugs.

But the leaf damage is certainly reminescent of thrips, maybe some of it is previous damage from the facility that provided the clone but there seems to be another issue persisting.

Your EC and pH are the problem... i think 2.6 is too high for seedlings. Also looked like thrip damage. Look for tiny black dots next to the bigger white/yellow spots. Its thrips eating the top epidermis of the leaf and defacating it out. I would also suggest using pearlite or vermiculite as early as possible. 100% pure coco coir can suffocate roots when water logged and it can also squeeze out and squash the roots when too dry (like a corking effect). At this point the coco also becomes hydrophobic and starves the plants of somatic pressure which causes the drooping. With regards to sterility, i would use a bathroom specific water based paint that has anti fungal additives. Spray everything down with dilute peroxide. Spray the tops of your soil in the pots too because the pests and thrips lay larvae. Love your channel bro. Keep overcoming the adversity to keep the passion alive 👏 never give up.

And also they maybe abit to intense them led maybe to close still..maybe chuck a few under fluorescent see if the same happens at beginning. Everything grows under fluorescent..if the seeds or cuts fail again you know its not the led..atealst you are crossing of possibilities this way and so on try different feed strengths.

It looks like mold to the left of the door It would seem logical to me if it's a block exterior wall with the heat. The center of the blocks might be full of mold due to the condensation of the outside being hot and inside being cold with the air conditioning. I would try an air quality. Or off gassing from the paint. Good luck my friend

2.6 ec on clones is pretty wild … I’d lower that to 600ppm and see if it has an effect. That’s high for flowering … in rockwool

Hey there Terpy, yes the place looks moldy, heck its Thailand. Have U tried to bring fresh air into the room filtered by a HEPA filter and the have an exhaust fan to take the old air out. There is a ratio of how much fresh air is brought in Vrs the room air that is being exhausted outside. Of course you'll have the AC & humidifier or DE-HUMIDIFIER on as well, but if your AC unit brings outdoor air into its own system you'll need a HEPA filter for that too. Your set up looks bomb and your being a great detective in finding out WTF is going on in that room!! Hopefully the place isn't cursed LOL !!! Best of luck to you !!

It's your coco... you need to "wash" and add dolimite for ph adjustment.

so you're saying the coco is bad but when the exact same plant/coco moved to another location the coco is still bad but the plant becomes heathy? With that outcome that proves the coco is NOT the issue.

@TerpyHighs have you washed the coco...It's a simple yes or no. I know they taught you the process of elimination in grade school, my boy. I ALWAYS WASH THE COCO BEFORE PLANTING. TRY USING SOME MICROBES ALSO THEY BUFFER ALOT OF COCO Fluctuating PROBLEMS!!!

let me ask. this type of cocoa soil. in week 4 and week 5 of flowering should be completely dry before continuing. or should i water a little while the soil is still moist. please someone help me plz plz

Look into crop steering. You're coco shouldn't get much lower then 20% moisture content.

How many amps does your room pull in total? Are you on 120 or 240v there?

Could you use beneficial bacteria/fungus instead of high orp? Trichoderna is so aggressive it can spread through the air and destroy harmful fungi.

You fed them with a 5.6 EC nutrient! Surely not. Did you mean 560ppm? I've grown in coco for years (EC range 1-2), and wouldn't leave plants that size for 4 days without feeding/watering them. Did you try watering the Falcon 9, as it didn't look like it?

2.6ec*** they were watered while I was gone for the 4 days by someone else. Yes the Falcon 9 was watered, it died after the watering and wasn't underwatered before that.

Hey Buddy nice room i think your Plants needet days bevore the vid was taken a transplant in bigger pots and i suggest to implement Mikrobes benefical Bacteria, Trichoderma and Myccoriza spray plants with Bacillus Turigiensis, LAB and other biologic benefits the good ones will fight the bad ones and prevent vom spreading. ... and ec 2.65 of course to high📈. Much sucsess keep it green 👍

It would be good to get your air checked at all times of the day to see where your levels of needed and poisonous gasses. The second thing is water putiry. My thought from the beginning of your troubles in Thailand has been water purity. I've never heard of a mysterious gas issue killing plants, but I have seen medium and water issues kill plants. After seeing the RO system, I'm thinking Nutrient issue. Along with the 2 water type tests, you should run a 3rd and 4th set with just straight water, no PH no nutrients.

It’s probably under watering and too high an EC with poor ph bro. There’s no reason to even think about feeding for the 1st 4-5 weeks (or longer). You keep blaming all these “other” factors. There is no reason to let seedlings dry out. You always had these issues before you bought all that equipment and moved to Thailand. If it was “off fuming” then explain how they made it from seedlings? Think about it. Check your watering and ph. I think you just under water with bad ph. It’s definitely not the building if the seedlings can make through their most delicate stage THEN die off. Your issue seems pretty simple. You put more work into blaming the environment than blaming yourself because you had the same issues with growing in America. Maybe you’re dealing with too many plants or too much going on outside of growing. Slow down and take notes on everything for watering, ph, ppm, EC, lights etc. something isn’t dialed in or you’re misinformed about, if a simple “weed” can’t grow in a building where an average office plant 🪴 would most likely have no issue, then you’re probably overthinking it.

@@TerpyHighsWell I was watching your channel when you were building your original grow room which I guess was Canada? EITHER WAY, you’ve spent a lot of time and money on equipment over the years when (it seems) like you haven’t mastered growing, and that was before you announced you were moving over to Thailand. You speak of this other grow location, but 1) Is that accurate? 2) are YOU the one controlling that other grow? And 3) you’re the one that seems to be unsure of what’s going on with your clones. Those clones look like they are lacking heat and humidity. They like a tropical climate where they can transpire. Only you know your grow, but we’re the ones watching and observing things you AREN’T saying that could be contributing to your failed seedlings. It’s salt buildup and underwatering imo. I’d stop feeding them and just water until they need a light feeding. 2 EC is OVERKILL in veg.

Yeah I just commented on the last video. It releases methane gas from the sewer. I own a sewer and drain business in America. Even if that mainline has a trap the system inside is still open.

I mean for me when growing under sodium you see the issue right away where led are abit slow and strange in away at showing yoi signs and fading and finishing off at the end. Everything just seems to take lo ger amd a bit more temperamental and as me and you know ive seen some grow in some right dindgy places it grows anywhere like yiu say you need to exchange the air

Great content as usual! In my opinion, your 2.6 EC is way too high. Which would translate at 1300ppm. I shoot for 400ppm/0.8 EC for seedlings and max in peak flower at 1.6 to 1.8 EC in full flower/800 to 900 ppm. But you are the pro, so I will continue to watch and learn! Cheers
