For people with severe anxiety who are getting terrified by the disclaimer in the beginning- This is not going to affect you in anyway you don't want it to. It's just someone reading a story. It will not cause any horrible dreams, dissociation or alter reality for you in anyway. The disclaimer is there because this video has all the elements to help someone fall asleep, and if you listen to it while driving then you could fall asleep at the wheel. I'm sure the medical disclaimer has to do with other things, not so much as him just reading a story. This story will not alter your reality, nor will it affect you in any negative way.

When the story mentions the land of "Serendip" towards the end, I believe that is the old name for the island of Sri Lanka. Just south of India

Reminds me of a radio programme called the Sandman which I listened to in the early 1960s on some AM band Denver Colorado radio station. FM radios were for the middle class not poor folk like I. The Sandman was narrated with other actors also participating occasionally. Anyone remember it ? I can't find it anyway now, Bedtime stories For Adults is a wonderful new substitute. Brings back fond memories. In my generation listening to radio dramas and verbally memorising nursery rhymes and children's stories stories & the bible was still common. I'm surprised some politically correct acolyte hasn't objected to these stories. Like environmentalists, "how dare you kill rooks." Applying todays mad politics & so called sciences to a different milieu is insane. Reminds me of the French revolution where even the calendar and names of the week were abortively attempted to be replaced, Chill out and enjoy our wonderful heritages folks ! Being read stories exercises imagination and helps your mind grow and calm down. I am in constant severe pain, Being enveloped in a wonderful story helps me forget my anxieties more than Ambien . That anodyne is easily overcome by worries, as my Being up for 72 hrs straight last week illustrated. These stories relax me a lot, Thanks will contribute soon,

I really enjoyed this story. So much in fact that over the course of a few nights, I listened to the whole story. And even more than the giant birds and huge diamonds littering the surface like pebbles, what disturbs me the most is the amount of money Sinbad spends back in his home in Baghdad. He would've destroyed his local economy. I guess I have odd standards for where I find it necessary to cry "Unrealistic". Lol.

😂😂 I was thrown off by how super generous everybody else was (except the bad guys, of course). He always found a king who loved him and gave him things. Or got rescued and didn't recognize the captain until his possessions were labelled. Also reminded me of The Odyssey (especially the Cyclops part).

Sinbad is like Harry Potter. He keeps going back to Hogwarts every single year, even though Grown Adults are trying to kill him and other Teenagers on an annual basis. “Maybe, I won’t get attacked again for a 6th Book in a row and tried to be murdered by another Adult faculty member this year, Ron and Hermione! Seems okay to me. Are you on a laptop? Sometimes they have not so great speakers. I have a rechargeable portable brick type speaker that was purchased on ebay for I believe around $15. If it's not that, you may want to check your cable. The aux cable. Sometimes the little wires inside break and lead to a loss in volume. Hope that helps.

hi im looking for a book. i only remember a tiny part of it. if memory serves me, it is a very old book which i read for awhile before my nook was lost. it describes a great story about sailors. when encountering storms, many ship lost direction and people died of starvation. however, later people got a trick to overcome this. they bring a knife and a bull or sheep hide on board. once storm strikes, the sailors, knife in hand, would get into the hide, which then is seamed tightly, before jumping into sea. and soon they will be spotted by a sea hawk, which, mistaking them to be prey, will sweep down, grasp them and fly to safety....then the sailor will kill the sea hawk with the knife and walk to civilization. please, can you help me find this book?
